Impact of Gender Representation in Textbooks on Student Achievement in United Kingdom
Get PDFPurpose: The aim of the study was to analyze the impact of gender representation in textbooks on student achievement in United Kingdom.
Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries.
Findings: The study revealed that balanced gender representation positively influences student outcomes. Research indicates that textbooks featuring diverse gender roles and equitable portrayals help combat gender stereotypes and promote higher engagement and achievement among students. Specifically, when textbooks include a variety of roles and achievements for different genders, students of all genders benefit from improved self-efficacy and academic performance.

However, the maintenance of test automation suites often presents significant challenges, particularly due to the frequent changes in application interfaces that lead to broken tests. This paper explores the development and implementation of self-healing test automation frameworks that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to automatically detect, diagnose, and repair broken tests.
Methodology: By integrating AI/ML models capable of dynamic locator identification, intelligent waiting mechanisms, and anomaly detection, these frameworks can significantly reduce the maintenance burden associated with automated testing. The paper presents a comprehensive architecture of a self-healing test automation framework, detailing the AI/ML techniques employed and the workflow of the self-healing process. A real-world case study is included to demonstrate the practical application and benefits of the proposed framework.
Findings: Evaluation results show substantial improvements in test suite reliability and reductions in maintenance time and costs. Findings: The study revealed that as glaciers continue to shrink due to climate change, the hydrological systems in mountainous regions of Ethiopia, such as the Simien Mountains and Bale Mountains, face disruptions in water supply, affecting both local communities and downstream users. The reduction in glacial meltwater contributes to decreased streamflow, altered river regimes, and increased variability in water availability, exacerbating water stress in a country already prone to droughts and water scarcity. Moreover, glacier retreat affects ecosystems, biodiversity, and livelihoods dependent on freshwater resources, further amplifying socio-economic vulnerabilities in the region.
