    No full text
Purpose: This study endeavored to establish the influence of quality management on performance of level five hospitals in Kenya. Methodology: The researcher used correlational research design and both qualitative and quantitative data were combined. The Research Instruments were both structured and semi structured. The target population of this study was 328 respondents comprising procurement, finance, pharmacist and administration directors within level five hospitals in the forty-seven counties. The research used census survey. The researcher applied a purposive random sampling technique since the respondents share the same features with high skills, technical knowledge and the experience on the area of study. The data was analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26 and the same was translated and presented in the form of data tables, graphs, pie charts and histograms. Findings: The Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.671 indicated that there was strong positive linear relationship between Quality Management and performance of level five hospitals. Unique Contribution: The study recommended that donors should increase their funding on health government operations, but this benefit should come at a price, that donors demand to date with accounts of how their funding is use and to see assessable results

Purpose: The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between sports participation and academic discipline in middle school students in Egypt. Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries. Findings:  Research on college athletes in Malaysia reveals that regular physical exercise significantly improves sleep quality by increasing sleep duration and efficiency. Exercise reduces sleep latency, helping athletes fall asleep faster, and enhances deep sleep stages crucial for recovery. Additionally, physical activity aids in managing stress and anxiety, which are linked to poor sleep. However, the impact of exercise can vary depending on its intensity and timing. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Self-determination theory (SDT), social cognitive theory (SCT) & achievement goal theory (AGT) may be used to anchor future studies on the relationship between sports participation and academic discipline in middle school students in Egypt. Schools should implement structured sports programs that emphasize not only physical skills but also the development of discipline, teamwork, and time management. Schools should adopt policies that promote the integration of sports and academics, ensuring that sports participation is not viewed as a distraction but as a complementary activity that enhances academic discipline

Sustainable Development - 2030 is poised for a transformative global landscape, marked by two pressing challenges: antibiotic resistance, an escalating public health crisis, and the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to alleviate poverty and enhance living standards. This commentary explores the intricate relationship between antibiotic resistance, the 2030 agenda for sustainable development, and poverty in developing countries. Antibiotic resistance, primarily fuelled by overuse and misuse, threatens to intensify the burden of infectious diseases, particularly among vulnerable populations. Concurrently, sustainable development in these regions is beset with hurdles. Eradicating poverty, a central SDG-2030 goal hinges on addressing healthcare disparities and the impacts of antibiotic resistance. This in-depth analysis comprehensively examines the complex interplay of these factors, evaluating the challenges they pose to the SDGs-2030. It assesses the current state of sustainable development and its potential to uplift impoverished communities, highlighting the consequences of antibiotic resistance on healthcare access and the challenges related to achieving food security amid antibiotic residues. The paper explores strategies and obstacles in the dual pursuit of poverty elimination and antibiotic resistance mitigation, emphasizing the need for holistic, evidence-based solutions across social, economic, environmental, and health dimensions. These commentaries offer insights and recommendations to inspire proactive efforts towards a more equitable and sustainable future

Purpose: To aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between livestock vaccination programs and mortality rates in India. Findings: Vaccination programs for livestock in India significantly reduce mortality rates, particularly in cattle, sheep, and goats. Comprehensive vaccination decreases the incidence of infectious diseases, enhances herd immunity, and improves overall productivity. Regions with strong vaccination coverage see better livestock health and increased farmer livelihoods. Economic analyses show that the benefits of reduced mortality and increased productivity often outweigh the costs, highlighting the need for ongoing investment in veterinary health services and education to promote widespread vaccination. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Health belief model (HBM), theory of planned behavior (TPB) & diffusion of innovations theory may be used to anchor future studies on the relationship between livestock vaccination programs and mortality rates in India. Practically, there is a need to strengthen the infrastructure for vaccine distribution, especially in remote and underserved areas. Policymakers should develop and enforce policies that support the expansion and optimization of livestock vaccination programs
