A gyepek helyreállításának lehetőségei különböző élőhelyeken, különböző legelő állatokkal: Áttekintő esettanulmányok III: Juhlegelők
From a land-use perspective, sheep grazing is primarily justified on sites of lower soil productivity. This is due to the grazing behaviour of sheep, characterised by selective feeding and close cropping. Such grazing promotes the development of a diverse vegetation structure, which is of high conservation value. However, under prolonged overgrazing, undesirable plant species may proliferate within the sward. The present review seeks to identify, in general terms, which species tend to become dominant on sheep pastures and which species are likely to spread under intensive grazing. Investigations carried out across several Hungarian landscape types yielded comparable results. Under high grazing pressure, Lolium perenne, Cynodon dactylon and Hordeum hystrix typically became dominant. By contrast, under low grazing pressure, Festuca pseudovina was generally found to prevail. From a land-use perspective, sheep grazing is primarily justified on sites of lower soil productivity. A középiskolás kori anyai és apai bevonódás prediktív ereje a hallgatók felsőoktatási eredményességére
Parental involvement encompasses activities that support a child’s development and academic progress. Within this framework, home-based and school-based involvement can be distinguished; however, the literature also identifies a third dimension: academic socialization. This study hypothesizes that higher levels of parental involvement during secondary school positively influence achievement in higher education, despite the fact that most existing research does not address long-term effects. Using a large-scale dataset spanning five countries, we investigate the relationships between maternal and paternal involvement in secondary school and subsequent academic achievement in higher education. Our findings indicate that discussing the importance of learning – an indicator of academic socialization – is perceived as part of mothers’ everyday activities factor, while for fathers, it is associated with value transmission and emotional support factor. Notably, both factors were found to have a positive effect on higher education achievement. Based on these results, public education systems should implement programs that emphasize the long-term significance of learning for both parents and children. Eredményeink alapján a közoktatásban hangsúlyt kellene fektetni az olyan iskolai programokra, melyek akár a szülők, akár a gyermekek felé a tanulás hosszú távú jelentőségére világítanak rá
Comparative study of different gel bases with herbal and synthetic active substance
This study compares two gel bases in which either natural or synthetic active substances are incorporated: Philadelphus coronarius flower extract and BGP-15. The preparations were evaluated for texture analysis, in vitro drug release and pH characteristics. Gels were formulated using Carbopol 940 or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as gelling agents. Texture analysis revealed comparable mechanical properties with slight increases in firmness upon incorporation of active substances. In vitro release studies demonstrated rapid early release for both gel bases, with Philadelphus coronarius reaching approximately 27% release at 180 minutes and BGP-15 achieving ~26% release. The findings support the dermal applicability of both agents and highlight their potential roles in natural and synthetic therapeutic skin preparations
Examining the Correlation Between Speed and Change of Direction Running Speed (CODS) in Football
The correlation between speed and change-of-direction running speed (CODS) remains unclear, as indicated by the results of previous research. One reason may be that researchers have used different tests to investigate the speed of running with a change of direction (CODS), where the number of direction changes, the angle, the total length of the running test, and the time required to complete the test vary. The researchers agree that agility is not the same as straight-line running speed, but suggest that further studies are needed to determine the relationship. Regarding the relationship between speed and agility, the results showed a consistent trend that faster players tend to perform better on the agility test. Still, we could only statistically confirm this at 20 and 30 metres. Only for the agility test in the right direction was there a significant correlation between 20 and 30 meters alone. Our results indicate that both agility and and CODS require different developmental stages
AZ ERZSÉBET TUDOMÁNYEGYETEM KESZTHELYI NYÁRI EGYETEMÉNEK OLASZORSZÁGI KAPCSOLATAI 1934-1936
The study presents the first two years of the summer university of the Elizabeth University of Pécs in Keszthely and the holiday home built for the students. The Italianist professor Jenő Kastner's relations with Italy are analyzed, highlighting their significance in the organization of the summer university courses. It provides an overview of the Italian-Hungarian diplomatic and cultural agreements, which fundamentally determined the concept of the courses and lectures of the Keszthely summer university, as well as the milestones of close cooperation with Italy. With the help of archival sources, we reconstruct the activities of Dr. Jenő Kastner, the head of the Italian Department of the Elizabeth University of Pécs, in Pécs, and the circumstances of the establishment of the holiday home. Levéltári források segítségével rekonstruáljuk a pécsi Erzsébet Tudományegyetem Olasz Tanszékének vezetőjének dr. Kastner Jenőnek pécsi tevékenységét, az üdülőház létrejöttének körülményeit
30 ÉVES A TISZÁNTÚLI NÖVÉNYVÉDELMI FÓRUM
The 30th anniversary of the Trans-Tisza Plant Protection Forum (30th TNF) was jointly organised by the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences of the University of Debrecen (University of Debrecen) and the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania (EMTE) on 15-16 October 2025 in Târgu Mureș. The Plant Protection Forum, which has been held continuously for three decades (raised to an international level every three years during the period), will be held annually from 2025. Consequently, the 30th TNF was also the 12th IPPS (International Plant Protection Symposium). In 1868, higher education for farmers was launched in the Trans-Tisza region to create the best, always modern agriculture. To help with this, we started the series of TNF (IPPS) events in 1996, the aim of which is to combine the results of modern science with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the plant protection of organic farming systems (Eco-Farming), which continue to be offered in the city of Debrecen in the future.A Tiszántúli Növényvédelmi Fórum (30. Következésképpen a 30. TNF egyben a 12. International Plant Protection Symposium (12-th IPPS) is volt. 1868-ban indult a Tiszántúl régióban a felsőfokú gazdászképzés a legjobb és a mindenkor korszerű mezőgazdaság megteremtése érdekében. Ennek segítésére kezdtük el 1996-ban a TNF (IPPS) rendezvény sorozatát, amelynek célja a modern tudomány eredményeinek ötvözése az integrált növényvédelmi gyakorlattal (Integrated Pest Management, IPM), illetve az Ökológiai gazdálkodási rendszerek (Eco-Farming) növényvédelmével, amelyeket a jövőben is Debrecen városában kínálunk
Evaluation of the use of leaf fertilizers and growth regulators in winter wheat: A review
Winter wheat is a leading cereal on a global scale, however, yields remain variable due to increasing weather extremes. This review synthesizes evidence (1971–2024) on the effects of foliar fertilizers and plant growth regulators/biostimulants on wheat growth, yield and quality. Across studies, appropriately timed foliar micronutrient applications (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, B, Mo) tend to enhance chlorophyll content, photosynthetic activity, and grain quality traits, while selected copper- and zinc-based products frequently increase grain yield and crude protein. Biostimulants—such as amino acids, humic/fulvic acids and seaweed extracts—generally improve stress tolerance (drought, cold) and may raise grain number and thousand-kernel weight. Plant growth regulators (e.g., lodging control agents) can reduce plant height, strengthen stems and improve stand stability, thereby contributing to yield security. Evidence magnitude varies with soil supply, cultivar, and phenophase-specific timing. We summarize practical windows of application, expected responses, and limitations, and highlight research gaps in standardizing doses and reporting effect sizes. Overall, foliar nutrition and growth regulation are promising tools to increase yield stability and quality under increasingly variable growing conditions
Maize nutrient dynamics: growth, yield and sustainable practices: A narrative review
Nutrient acquisition is the fundamental regulator of maize (Zea mays) growth, development, and yield. The present narrative review intends to integrate existing information on dynamics of nutrient uptake in maize under scrutiny for understanding how the processes affect growth and yield. We focus on the effective absorption and utilization of macronutrients (N, P and K) and micronutrients that promote plant health, grain development, and stress tolerance. Key determinants of nutrient availability (soil type, pH, organic matter, environment) and physiological or yield impacts of deficiency are studied. Strategies to optimize uptake efficiency precision application of fertilizer, organic fertilizers, and sustainable soil management are discussed. Optimizing these dynamics is central to maize productivity, enhancement and sustainable crop production. This review provides valuable insights into optimizing maize nutrition for improved food security and sustainable crop production
