Islamic Work Ethic: The Role of Religious Principles on Working Performance in Higher Education
Full text linkThe study aims to investigate the influences of the Islamic work ethic to increase the working motivation of academics at the Academy of Foreign Languages, Universitas Muslim Indonesia. It employs quantitative research by applying an explanatory research model. Using saturation sampling involved all the lecturers and academic staff assigned to the Foreign Language Academy at the Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Makassar, Indonesia. The target participants in this study were 34 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire compiled based on Islamic Working Ethic, Islamic Working Motivation, and Working Performance variables. The results showed that the Islamic working ethic has a favorable and substantial impact on academics' working performance in learning. Based on the aqidah tauhid, the state suggests that all indications of work ethic influence enhancing job performance so that lecturers get His joy. The work ethic with an Al-Mujahadah attitude or optimal hard work will motivate the academics to work harder, thereby improving their performance
Factors Affecting the Society’s Preference Using Zakat, Infaq And Alms Based Crowdfunding Platform
Full text linkPoverty is an economic problem that has not yet been resolved. Various concepts are offered to overcome the problem of poverty, one of which is offered by Islam by utilizing the instruments of Zakat, Infaq and alms as a means of distributing wealth from the rich to those in need. In order to optimize the collection of ZIS funds, several breakthroughs were made, one of which was through the Social Crowdfunding platform, such as kitabisa.com. Therefore, this study aims to determine the role of the Kitabisa.com platform in raising awareness until finally deciding to channel ZIS funds on the Kitabisa.com platform. This research is included in field research with quantitative methods. The data used is sourced from primary data collected directly from respondents using google form, while secondary data is sourced from articles, books, internet. The data that has been collected is analyzed using SEM-PLS with the help of the SmartPLS analysis tool. The results showed that the accountability variable had a positive and significant effect on the decision to distribute ZIS on the social crowdfunding platform kitabisa.com, while the other variables had no significant effect. 
Implementation of The Principles of Islamic Communication in the Digital Era
Full text linkAdvances in technology can not only provide good benefits but can also have a negative impact, among is the hoax news. The government has been working to overcome this, including socializing digital literacy to the public. This is also in line with Islamic religious teachings that put forward the concept of Islamic communication principles in the interaction of daily life including in communicating digitally so that the motto of Islam that is rahmatan lil' alamin can be achieved. From the concept, researchers are interested in knowing how to implement Islamic communication principles in the digital era. This research is field research with qualitative descriptive approach methods. The object of the research is students who have earned the teaching of Islamic Communication courses. The result of this study is that informants have tried to apply the principles of Islamic Communication, but it has not been able to be applied optimally, due to various obstacles both from internal and external self-informants. Therefore, in addition to knowledge in the form of Islamic communication concepts taught, there also needs to be habituation in the form of in-depth, serious, and continuous training. So that the principles of Islamic Communication are embedded and become self-character
استراتيجية تعلم اللغة العربية لدى الطلاب المتفوقين في قسم تعليم اللغة العربية لجامعة سلطان أجي محمد إدريس الإسلامية الحكومية سمارندا
Full text linkمازال طلاب العلم خاصة في مجال اللغة العربية يواجهون صعوبات كثيرة في تعلمها، لكن منهم من تفوقوا فيها وحصلوا على نتائج مقنعة في المواد الدراسية المتعلقة بالمهارات اللغوية (القراءة والكلام والاستماع). فهدف هذا البحث هو تحليل استراتيجية تعلم اللغة العربية لدى الطلاب المتفوقين في قسم تعليم اللغة العربية لجامعة سلطان أجي محمد إدريس الإسلامية الحكومية سمارندا. يستخدم هذا البحث المدخل الكيفي مع نوع الدراسة دراسة الحالة. ويتم جمع البيانات من خلال الملاحظة والمقابلة والتوثيق. أما موضوع البحث هم الطلاب في المستوى الرابع وعينة البحث الطلاب المتفوقون حسب نتائجهم في المواد الدراسية المتعلقة بالمهارات اللغوية من قسم تعليم اللغة العربية لجامعة سلطان أجي محمد إدريس الإسلامية الحكومية سمارندا. تشير نتائج هذا البحث إلى أن أغلب الطلاب المتفوقين لهم خلفية دراسية في اللغة العربية إما في المتوسطة أو الثانوية أو كلاهما ، بينما تختلف استراتيجيات التعلم عن بعضهم البعض ، لكن الشيء المشترك بين الجميع هو أنه يجب أن يكون هناك حب للمواد المدروسة ، بأهداف واضحة ، وقت ومكان خاصان للدراسة.
Human resources are a crucial factor in achieving targets and goals in business. One of the businesses overgrowing today is the Muslim beauty salon business. Employees mainly support the success of this business with good performance. However, employee performance is influenced by various factors. This study aims to determine the influence of Islamic work ethic, motivation, and environment on employee performance at the Muslimah beauty salon in Samarinda. This study is a quantitative study with a study population of 15 employees. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis uses multiple regression analysis. The study's results found that motivation affects the performance of employees in the Muslimah beauty salon in Samarinda. However, Islamic work ethic and environment have no bearing on employee performance. Simultaneously, Islamic work ethic, motivation, and work environment influenced employee performance at the Muslimah beauty salon in Samarinda with an influence of 78.6%. Other factors outside this study influenced the remaining 21.4%
Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform at IAIN Palangka Raya
Full text linkThe implementation of bureaucratic reform in the educational institution system in Indonesia has carried out many substantive transformations in various dimensions. This is because it can be reviewed through the implementation of bureaucratic reforms that focus on services in order to monitor and evaluate performance in the organizational and human resource dimensions. This research is a descriptive qualitative research obtained from interviews. Data collection techniques were carried out by triangulation and data analysis using inductive data reduction, presentation, and verification techniques that emphasized meaning. This study explains that the implementation of bureaucratic reform at IAIN Palangka Raya has gone well in terms of the organizational and human resource dimensions. Although there are several notes such as ease of access to service information at IAIN Palangka Raya which can be improved so that it is right on target. This is expected to generate benefits for the implementation of bureaucratic reform as an effort to develop goal-oriented competencies and skills. In addition, the draft road map on the implementation of policy reforms can be used as a guide and direction for policy or decision makers in implementing bureaucratic reforms
Increasing Novice EFL Learners’ Vocabulary based on Short Islamic Stories in an Islamic Higher Education
Full text linkThe majority of EFL students lack adequate vocabulary knowledge and become frustrated when they cannot comprehend the meaning of key vocabulary terms in a passage. The study aims to determine whether short Islamic stories can improve the vocabulary acquisition of novice EFL learners. It uses quantitative research by applying a pre-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test. The study involves 30 novice EFL students enrolled in the Basic Translation course at the English Language Education department, Islamic State University of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. To determine the significance of the short Islamic study to the student's vocabulary significance, the study applied a vocabulary test containing a matching test, a word meaning test, a vocabulary test, and a pronunciation and spelling test. The findings of the study revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-tests due to the treatment. The study's results refuted the null hypothesis. It was determined that there was substantial evidence regarding the effect of Islamic short stories on vocabulary acquisition. Further studies related to this study are needed considering the data provided in this pre-experimental design is still limited to the number of treatment groups
The Integration of Character Education in Arabic Learning at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 4 Samarinda
Full text linkThe majority of people in Indonesia have periodically attended elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university-level formal education programs. It should go without saying that those who have previously gotten education do not generally have good moral character. There are currently a growing number of offenses that transgress religious principles. As a result, character education for both students and teachers is required, and this can be done by including character traits into the formal curriculum. The implementation of learning processes, execution procedures, and assessment processes can accomplish this. The 2013 curriculum includes character education. The emphasis on learning includes affective and psychological learning in addition to cognitive learning. Due of this, character education is required. As a result, character education must be incorporated into every topic taught in formal schools, including the study of Arabic. The goal of this study is to ascertain the planning for integrating character education into the study of Arabic, the actual integrating of character education into the study of Arabic, the evaluation of that integration, as well as the effects of that integrating character education on the students at Muhammadiyah 4 Samarinda Elementary School. A descriptive qualitative approach is used in this study. Observation, interviewing, and documentation are the methods used to acquire data. Miles and Huberman theory is employed in the data analysis. According to the study's findings, the planning process should have 13 character values, the implementation and evaluation processes should have 13 character values, and the implications should have 11 character values
Kajian Literature: Urgensi Prinsip Komunikasi Islam dalam Mengatasi Hoax di Era 4.0.
Full text linkTechnological developments in the 4.0 era need to be faced with an awareness of the importance of communication and digital literacy. The urgency is so that people can use digital media in a healthy, wise, intelligent, careful, precise, and law-abiding manner to avoid hoaxes. The use of media as a communication tool and the principle of communication itself needs attention and in-depth study, including in the study of Islamic communication. The meaning of Islamic communication is the delivery of Islamic messages using the communication principles in Islam. Islamic teachings, in this case, have explicitly provided guidelines, namely by prioritizing the concept of Islamic communication principles in daily life interactions, including communicating digitally in the 4.0 era. This article describes the urgency of Islamic communication principles in overcoming Hoaxes in Era 4.0. This study uses a design in the form of a literature study. This study is a qualitative study using document analysis methods. The results of the study state that several kinds of literature on the study of Islamic communication principles have been researched, starting from 2010-2020. That the study of Islamic communication principles in the 4.0 era must not only be understood by the public but also as a foundation in social media as well as fend off all things related to hoaxes
Potential Analysis of Islamic Bank Human Resources in East Kalimantan

This research is a qualitative and descriptive research, where the data is obtained through library research. Based on the literature study method that has been carried out, several potential human resource development in East Kalimantan have been found, including a large Muslim population (especially in Samarinda City, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, and Balikpapan City, high value of the East Kalimantan Province human development index, support for education. Sector which is reflected through the availability of Islamic Banking/Sharia Economics study programs / Sharia Economic Law at Universities / Institutes / Universities in East Kalimantan, Stability of Sharia Banking Asset Development in East Kalimantan Province. This makes East Kalimantan one of the areas that have potential or opportunities to overcome the problem of limited human resources both in terms of quality and quantity. Mapping the Field, A Bibliometric Analysis of Environment in Islam
Full text linkThe environmental crisis is happening today requires the attention of the global community. One approach that can be done is to apply the teachings of Islam as a whole. Belief in religion can influence people to maintain the environment. This study was conducted to determine how the environment in Islam. Scientific publications in accordance with Islamic friends in the neighborhood of indexed Dimensions analyzed by a systematic literature review (SLR). The parameters analyzed were the number of publications per year, the origin and the origin of the author's state institutions. Furthermore, the results were analyzed with the VOS Viewer software. A total of 30 relevant scientific articles selected and analyzed. Publications related to the environment in Islam increased since 2006 with some of the topics of discussion. A popular topic of research is on the management of natural resources and environment, water conservation, and climate change
