    GenAI Acceptance Modeling in Islamic Higher Education: An Integration of TAM and EVT Using PLS-SEM

    Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technology is currently receiving special attention and has numerous benefits. In the education field, this technology can help obtain information quickly to complete a thesis. This research aims to conduct GenAI Modeling based on the Technology Accepted Model (TAM) and Expected Value Theory (EVT) framework using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The research used primary data obtained from surveys. The population was all Tarbiyah faculty students who took a thesis in the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 1266. The sample in this research was 191 students who were completing their thesis and had used Gen AI technology to help complete their thesis. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling with a procedure of dividing students into 8 clusters based on the study program. The research instrument used a questionnaire consisting of 5 latent variables: Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Intrinsic Motivation, Perceived Value, and Behavioral Intention to Use. The results of the analysis using the PLS-SEM method showed that Intrinsic Motivation has a significant relationship with Perceived Ease of Use, and Intrinsic Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Value have a significant relationship with Behavioral Intention to Use. These results show that students choose GenAI Technology to help complete their thesis based on its benefits, such as making it easier to prepare backgrounds, research instruments, and data analysis steps, as well as providing insight into knowledge related to the topic being researched. The research results imply the need for policies regarding the use of GenAI technology for theses so that students are wiser in using GenAI technology

    Enhancing Student Religiosity Through Islamic Content and Influencer Expertise: Social Media Contribution as Mediator

    The rise of social media has altered how young Muslims learn about their faith, but the effect on their everyday religious practices is unclear. To comprehend how Islamic content and influencers impact religious practices, this study makes use of the Social Learning Theory and the Uses and Gratifications Theory. It also examines social media contribution as a potential link in the chain. 180 Muslim students from 13 faculties at the University of Mulawarman were given a structured questionnaire as part of a quantitative study. Purposive sampling was used to choose respondents, considering the population's infinite size and two particular requirements: frequent interaction with Muslim influencers and Islamic content on social media and active use of social media. Data were gathered using adapted instruments from earlier research, and PLS-SEM was used for analysis. The findings demonstrate that the quality of Islamic content significantly influences religiosity practices both directly and indirectly (through social media contribution). The practice of religiosity is not directly impacted by Muslim influencer expertise, but it does have a notable indirect impact through social media contributions. These results emphasize how crucial interactive engagement and high-quality Islamic teachings are in promoting religious behavior. These findings highlight the importance of high-quality Islamic teachings and interactive engagement in encouraging religious behavior. The study offers helpful insights for Islamic education by highlighting the need for relatable, reliable content and influencers who can promote value-driven engagement. It enables us to comprehend how youth religiosity is shaped by digital spaces and how structured online interaction can reinforce it

    Contextualizing English Language Learning: Islamic Stories as Teaching Materials in ELT

    Driven by the growing awareness of cultural relevance in English language teaching (ELT), this study presents the development of English materials based on Islamic stories for Islamic schools. This study aims to describe the design of English teaching materials that integrate Islamic values in response to the lack of culturally appropriate resources available to teachers in Islamic educational settings. This study used a qualitative approach to describe the process of developing teaching materials from Islamic stories through the development stages. The primary data consists of drafts of teaching materials at each development stage, from initial design through revisions to the final prototype. Supporting data is obtained from literature, learning theories, and teaching materials design principles, which serve as the foundation for each development step. The development process involved determining learning goals, selecting and adapting content, texts, and tasks, instructions, and learning outcomes assessment. The materials were carefully designed to meet students’ linguistic level and moral development goals. In the process, the researchers do self-evaluation, consultation with experts, and revision to produce high-quality materials. This study highlights the broader framework of Islamization of knowledge in ELT, emphasizing the importance of aligning language learning with Islamic worldviews. By offering culturally and spiritually relevant learning resources, the materials developed in this study provide English teachers with practical tools to foster both language proficiency and religious character education in Muslim learners

    Peran Filsafat Dalam Membentuk Pemikiran Kritis-Filosofis Umat Islam

    Discussions about philosophy are dialectical. Until now there is still a long debate, especially regarding the construction of philosophy and the elements of philosophy. Especially, if look the existence of philosophy in the Islamic world. The role and implications of ancient Greek philosophy as a thought that intrinsically contains critical-philosophical values contribute to Islamic civilisation. The open, critical, and dialectical style of thought from ancient Greece gave birth to Muslim philosophers such as al-Kindi, al-Farabi, al-Razi, to al-Ghazali and Ibn Rushd. Despite the views that reject philosophy, it turns out that philosophy also has a great influence on Muslims. Departing from that, this research seeks to examine the role of philosophy, especially philosophy from ancient Greek civilisation, in the formation of critical-philosophical thinking of Muslims in the early period. The method used in this research is library research. In the process of analysis, this research produces the conclusion that philosophy has a considerable role in Islamic civilisation, especially in shaping the critical-philosophical thinking of Muslims. Some indications that can be known are, making philosophical values as a way to answer the problem of Islamic theology, being a factor in the formulation of the methodology for interpreting authoritative sources (al-Qur'an and Hadith), to strengthen the epistemological basis of Sufism studies

    Reinterpretasi Pembagian Waris dalam Q.S. An-Nisa’ Ayat 11: Studi Analisis Hermeneutika Muhammad Syahrur

    This study examines the reinterpretation of the division of inheritance in Q.S. An-Nisa’ verse 11 using Muhammad Syahrur’s hermeneutical approach. The primary focus is on the part of the verse which states that if there are two or more daughters and no sons, they are entitled to two-thirds of the inheritance. Classical interpretations generally understand this verse literally. However, Muhammad Syahrur offers a markedly different perspective by applying his boundary-based hermeneutics (al-hudud). He interprets the provision not as a fixed amount but as a maximum limit, meaning that two-thirds is the upper boundary while one-third represents the lower boundary. Consequently, the distribution of inheritance becomes flexible and contextual, aligning with the evolving circumstances of modern times. This research aims to understand how Syahrur's approach offers a new perspective on Islamic inheritance law and to assess the compatibility of his views with the principles of gender justice and contemporary social developments. The method employed in this study is library research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The findings reveal that Syahrur’s interpretation provides a more flexible understanding of Qur'anic verses. Through his boundary theory, Syahrur proposes a proportional distribution of inheritance between men and women. According to him, the "two shares for the male" is a maximum limit that must not be exceeded but may be reduced. Conversely, the "one share for the female" is a minimum limit that must not be diminished but may be increased. This theoretical approach is considered relevant to the principle of social justice, especially in situations where women serve as the primary breadwinners in the family. In such cases, women's inheritance rights may be enhanced, provided they remain within the bounds of divine law. Keywords: Muhammad Syahrur, Q.S. An-Nisa’ 11, Reinterpretation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang reinterpretasi pembagian waris dalam Q.S. An-Nisa’ ayat 11 dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika Muhammad Syahrur. Fokus utamanya adalah pada bagian ayat yang menyatakan bahwa jika terdapat dua orang anak perempuan atau lebih dan tidak ada anak laki-laki, maka mereka berhak menerima dua pertiga dari harta warisan. Dalam penafsiran klasik umumnya memahami ayat tersebut secara literal, namun, sangat berbeda dengan Muhammad Syahrur yang memahami ayat tersebut menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika batas (al-hudud), ia menafsirkan bahwa ketentuan tersebut bukan angka tetap, melainkan batas maksimal yang boleh diberikan, yang artinya dua pertiga adalah batas atas, sementara satu pertiga menjadi batas bawah, sehingga dalam pembagian waris bersifat fleksibel dan kontekstual sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pendekatan Muhammad Syahrur dalam menawarkan perspektif baru terhadap hukum waris islam, serta menilai dengan kesesuaian pandangannya dalam prinsip keadilan gender dan perkembangan sosial kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka (library rescarch) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir Muhammad Syahrur memberikan pemahaman yang lebih fleksibel terhadap ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Melalui teori batas yang ia kemukakan, Syahrur menawarkan konsep pembagian warisan yang proporsional antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Menurutnya, bagian dua untuk anak laki-laki merupakan batas maksimum yang tidak boleh dilampaui, namun bisa dikurangi. Sebaliknya, bagian satu untuk anak perempuan adalah batas minimum yang tidak boleh dikurangi, tetapi masih memungkinkan untuk ditambah. Pendekatan teori ini dianggap relevan dengan prinsip keadilan sosial, terutama ketika perempuan berperan sebagai pencari nafkah utama dalam keluarga.     Media Game Lumio untuk Penilaian Kognitif IPS Kelas 4 SDN Serua 01 Kota Tangerang Selatan

    Digital-based learning media has been widely used in the classroom learning process since the Covid-19 pandemic. There are many learning applications that can be an option for teachers as learning media, one of which is Lumio. This study aims to determine the use of Lumio learning media in creating a fun learning atmosphere and the use of Lumio in the cognitive assessment process in social studies learning in class 4 of SDN Serua 01 Tangerang Selatan. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used is descriptive analysis. The data analysis technique is thematic analysis where researchers use questionnaires to determine the effectiveness of Lumio in creating a fun learning atmosphere through the cognitive assessment applied. There are three stages in this study, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the study show that social studies learning using Lumio learning media can make the learning atmosphere feel more fun and make the cognitive assessment process easier with various unique quiz variants that are enjoyed by students

    Exploring the Determinants of Job Hopping Among Generation Z

    This study aims to determine whether psychological capital and work-life balance influence job hopping among Generation Z employees in Banjarmasin City. This study uses a quantitative correlational approach. The research respondents numbered 155 people using a purposive sampling method. The questionnaire was distributed through social media, such as WhatsApp and Instagram. The research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the F-test analysis showed that psychological capital and work-life balance simultaneously influence job hopping among Generation Z employees in Banjarmasin City (F = 161.945 and p = 0.001). At the same time, the t-test results showed that psychological capital positively influences job hopping, which contradicts the hypothesis proposed by the researcher (t = 14.684 p = 0.001). However, the results of the analysis t-test on work-life balance showed an adverse effect on job hopping (t = -2.289 and p = 0.023), which aligns with the hypothesis proposed by the researcher. The conclusion is that although psychological capital and work-life balance simultaneously influence job hopping among Generation Z employees in Banjarmasin City, the influence of psychological capital on job hopping is positive. In contrast, the influence of work-life balance on job hopping is negative. The results of this study are expected to add information and knowledge references in the industrial and organizational psychology sector, especially for organizations managing Generation Z employees

    PENGARUH KUALITAS LAYANAN APLIKASI TERHADAP KEPUASAN MAHASISWA MPI PASCASARJANA UINSI SAMARINDA

    Kepuasan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna aplikasi ini merupakan salah satu indikator penting keberhasilan penerapan teknologi informasi di lingkungan kampus, dimana kualitas layanan memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi akademik dengan mudah dan cepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh yang melibatkan seluruh anggota populasi sebagai sampel penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 45 orang. Dari hasil perhitungan menggunakan persamaan linier sederhana dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 22 diperoleh persamaan regresi sederhana yaitu Y = 0,85 + 0,71X yang artinya jika X=0 maka kepuasan siswa akan tetap 0,85 dan jika Variabel kualitas layanan aplikasi “SAKU Mahasiswa” meningkat sebesar satu poin, maka kepuasan siswa akan meningkat sebesar 0,71. Setelah memperoleh persamaan regresi, penulis kemudian menguji hipotesis dengan menggunakan tingkat signifikan α = 0,05. dan diperoleh Fhitung sebesar 542,47 dan nilai Ftabel sebesar 4,07 sehingga diperoleh F = 542,47 > 4,07 (maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima) yang berarti hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima. Jadi terdapat pengaruh terhadap kualitas layanan aplikasi “SAKU Mahasiswa” pada mahasiswa Pascasarjana MPI Angkatan 2023/2024 UINSI Samarinda. Selanjutnya nilai koefisien determinasi yang dihitung menunjukkan hasil yang sangat kecil yaitu 9,2% yang berarti banyak sekali aplikasi dengan fitur tersedia yang digunakan pada aplikasi lain sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa dengan kualitas layanan aplikasi “SAKU Mahasiswa” yang jauh lebih baik lagi

    Analysis of The Implementation of Songs and Chants in English Language Learning for Elementary School Students

    This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Songs and Chants method in English language learning for fifth-grade students at MI Al Huda Pengkol and to describe students’ responses toward its application. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 27 students and one English teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions, and analyzed using descriptive and triangulation techniques. The results show that the application of songs and chants increases student participation, enhances learning interest, and creates a more active and enjoyable classroom atmosphere. Students find it easier to remember vocabulary and sentence structures due to repetition and rhythm. Of the 27 students, the number who actively spoke English increased from 13 to 23. Challenges include limited facilities, infrastructure, and preparation in selecting and adapting songs according to the curriculum. Overall, this method proves to be an effective and enjoyable alternative for English learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. Further research is suggested to develop more structured songs and chants materials

    Efektivitas Media Wordwall dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti

    Abstract This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Wordwall media to enhance students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education & Character Education at SMA Negeri 1 Loa Janan. This research is motivated by the low utilization of technology-based learning media and the students' habit of playing online games during breaks, which contributes to learning boredom, as revealed by a survey showing that 60.6% of students in class X.4 felt bored. This study employs a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 30 students selected using Simple Purposive Sampling. Data collection was carried out through tests, questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through the Wilcoxon test, confirming a significant increase in learning motivation. Results showed a significant increase in learning motivation (Asymp. Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), supporting the effectiveness of Wordwall media in this context. The average increase in pretest and posttest scores was 13.00, with a total increase of 325.00. Additionally, the questionnaire results showed that learning motivation was in the effective category with an average score of 4.10, and field observations confirmed positive student responses. Thus, Wordwall media has proven to be effective in enhancing students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education & Character Education at SMA Negeri 1 Loa Janan. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi serta kebiasaan siswa bermain game online saat istirahat yang menyebabkan kejenuhan dalam pembelajaran, sebagaimana terungkap dari survei yang menunjukkan bahwa 60,6% siswa di kelas X.4 merasa bosan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Pre Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest dan sampel berjumlah 30 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik Simple Purposive Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar yang signifikan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Rata-rata peningkatan skor pretest dan posttest adalah 13,00 dengan total peningkatan sebesar 325,00. Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan motivasi belajar berada pada kategori efektif dengan skor rata-rata 4,10, dan observasi di lapangan mengonfirmasi respon positif siswa. Media Wordwall efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam & Budi Pekerti di SMA Negeri 1 Loa Janan.
