This study focuses on children in conflict with the law. The purpose of this study is to analyse the application of the muhasabah technique in building the resilience of children in conflict with the law at the Class 1 Surakarta Correctional Centre. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The selection of subjects used a purposive sampling technique with four community counsellors who had handled cases of street violence with child perpetrators and applied the muhasabah technique. Data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the success of this technique is highly dependent on the relationship between community counsellors and children in conflict with the law. The stages applied include: building good relationships with the children and parents, exploring the chronology of the case through open and closed questions, inviting the children to reflect on their actions and the consequences received, and providing reflective tasks to encourage changes in mindset. The results of implementing this technique have been proven to help children in conflict develop self-awareness, build more positive social relationships, and control emotions, thus contributing to the development of their resilience

This study was motivated by the low levels of concentration and learning interest among third-grade students during learning activities, particularly in the Qur'an Hadith subject.. According to Piaget’s theory, students aged 8–9 years are in the concrete operational stage, which requires learning approaches that are engaging and interactive. Wordwall media was chosen because it can create an active and enjoyable learning environment, which is expected to enhance student engagement in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using Wordwall media on students’ learning interest The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, focusing on third-grade students at a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using various statistical tests, including validity and reliability tests, normality test, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that Wordwall media had a significant effect on students’ learning interest. This is indicated by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, and a t-value (6.305) greater than the t-table value (1.661). The R Square value of 0.299 indicates that 29.9% of the variation in learning interest was influenced by the use of Wordwall media, while the remaining 70.1% was influenced by other factors. Therefore, the use of Wordwall media can be considered an effective strategy to improve students’ learning interest in the Qur'an Hadith subject at MIN 1 Samarinda

Instagram has become an essential tool for language learners outside of the classroom, in addition to creating new avenues for social networking. Some researchers have investigated the use of Instagram for self-directed learning, but research and knowledge on the extent to which Instagram can promote learner autonomy among preservice teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL) remain under-explored. The purpose of this study is to investigate how EFL pre-service teacher use Instagram to support student autonomy in their English language learning, particularly in light of the growing trend of digitalization in education. Fifteen EFL PSTs from an Islamic university in the province of Lampung, Indonesia were involved as participants of this qualitative study. The findings show that the participants viewed Instagram as useful alternative platform for learning English. They employed various creative strategies to utilize Instagram’s features, including enhancing vocabulary, grammar comprehension, and speaking skills. However, they also encountered challenges, such as distractions from non-educational content and connection issues. Despite certain limits of this platform, they also viewed learning English on Instagram as a pleasant experience. The study concludes that Instagram, when used wisely, can be a good platform to promote autonomous learning in ELT, especially in the context of growing educational digitalization

Application of the Shoutiyyah Method in Addressing Pronunciation Errors of Arabic Language Education Students at Universitas Negeri Makassar

    Get PDF
Pronunciation errors in reading Arabic texts remain a significant challenge for students in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Makassar. These errors primarily involve difficulties in articulating specific Arabic letters, distinguishing between long and short vowels, and maintaining fluency while reading. Mispronunciations often lead to changes in meaning, which can hinder students' comprehension of texts, particularly in academic and religious contexts. To address these issues, this study aims to implement ath-thariqah as-shautiyyah as a phonetic-based teaching method to improve students' pronunciation accuracy in the Qiraah course. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation of students struggling with pronunciation. The analysis process involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify pronunciation errors and measure improvements following the implementation of ath-thariqah as-shautiyyah. The findings reveal that the method significantly enhances students’ ability to pronounce challenging Arabic letters, differentiate between short and long vowels, and read texts with greater fluency. The structured approach, which includes listening exercises, imitation, and systematic repetition, plays a crucial role in fostering phonological awareness. Additionally, students demonstrated increased confidence in reading Arabic texts aloud, indicating that the method also positively impacts their overall learning experience. In conclusion, ath-thariqah as-shautiyyah proves to be an effective strategy for overcoming pronunciation difficulties in Arabic reading instruction. Given its success in improving phonetic accuracy, fluency, and confidence, this method should be widely adopted in Qiraah courses

This study examines the impact of Minimum Statutory Reserves (Giro Wajib Minimum/GWM) and Third-Party Funds (Dana Pihak Ketiga/DPK) on musyarakah financing at Bank Mega Syariah from 2017 to 2022. Motivated by internal and external factors influencing musyarakah financing, the research adopts a quantitative explanatory approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were sourced from the bank’s financial reports, and classical assumption tests—normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation—were conducted to ensure model validity. The results show that GWM significantly affects musyarakah financing partially, with a significance level of 0.017. Similarly, DPK has a significant partial effect, with a significance level of 0.000. Both variables also have a simultaneous significant effect. These findings suggest that effective GWM management can improve liquidity and financing performance without violating liquidity requirements. Moreover, enhancing DPK through innovative Sharia-compliant savings products can stimulate financing growth. In conclusion, GWM and DPK are crucial in shaping musyarakah financing performance. Policy recommendations include optimizing liquidity strategies, innovating DPK mobilization aligned with Sharia principles, improving liquidity risk management, and increasing public education about Islamic finance to foster sustainable development in the Islamic banking sector
