    From Social Trust to Halal Industry Dynamic: The Synergy of Islamic Social Capital and Financial Capability in Small Enterprises Sectors

    This study aims to examine the determinants of performance in Halal micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by positioning Islamic Social Capital (ISC) as the primary explanatory construct. To provide a more comprehensive framework, Islamic Financial Literacy (IFL) and Islamic Financial Inclusion (IFI) are integrated into the model to capture the knowledge and financial accessibility dimensions essential for Halal MSME development. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) on survey data from 242 Muslim-owned Halal MSMEs in Indonesia. The results reveal that ISC significantly enhances IFL, which in turn promotes IFI and ultimately strengthens MSME performance. These findings highlight the pivotal role of cohesive and ethically grounded social networks in facilitating financial literacy and access to Sharia-compliant financial services. The novelty of this study lies in integrating ISC with IFL and IFI within a single model, a relationship that has not been comprehensively explored in prior research. By bridging Islamic social capital with financial capability from an Islamic legal-ethical perspective, this study contributes new insights into how community-based mechanisms can drive the growth and resilience of Halal MSMEs

    The Meaning of the Local Tradition of Makan Beseprah/Berkerobok: A Symbolic Interactionism Study of the Kutai People in East Kalimantan

    This study aims to explore the meaning of the beseprah (bekerobok) communal eating tradition among the Kutai people in East Kalimantan, who continue to preserve local customs amid the forces of modernization. The research employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The researcher was directly involved in the community through participant observation and in-depth interviews to understand the values and symbols embedded in this cultural practice. The findings reveal that the beseprah tradition holds significant symbolic meaning in fostering togetherness, strengthening social bonds, and expressing gratitude. The shared meals reflect local wisdom and serve as a space to introduce traditional Kutai cuisine. This tradition also plays a social role by reducing class distinctions. However, its implementation faces challenges, such as limited institutional support and shifting meanings due to modern influences. Nonetheless, through cooperation among stakeholders, the core values of beseprah can still be preserved. This study contributes to academic discussions in cultural anthropology and symbolic interactionism, particularly in understanding how local traditions are maintained and reinterpreted in the modern era. The findings reinforce the importance of preserving local culture as part of national identity and as a form of resistance to global cultural homogenization. Using a symbolic interactionist lens, the research provides in-depth insights into how social interaction and symbols construct shared meanings in local traditions. It also opens a dialogue on the role of community in sustaining culture as a source of long-term social strength

    The Influence of Nahwu Knowledge on Arabic Text Reading Skills

    Understanding the Arabic language cannot be separated from mastery of foundational knowledge, such as Nahwu and Sharaf. Therefore, understanding Nahwu is very important for students so they can read Arabic texts fluently and avoid mistakes. The goal of learning maharah al-qira’ah is for students to read Arabic texts accurately and fluently. This study aims to analyze the influence of Nahwu knowledge on eighth-grade students’ ability to read Arabic texts at MTs Tarbiatul Islam Aziziah NW Wanasaba. The population of this study comprised eighth-grade students at MTs Tarbiatul Islam Aziziah NW Wanasaba, with a research sample of 45 eighth-grade students. The research method used was quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires and tests. The requirement tests for analysis include normality and linearity tests, while the data analysis technique uses the t-test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, a Sig. value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a calculated t value of 4.645 (> t table 2.014) were obtained. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, meaning that Nahwu knowledge significantly influences reading skills in Arabic texts. The implications of this research underscore the need to integrate a more comprehensive, practical approach to teaching Arabic grammar into the curriculum to improve students’ reading skills significantly

    Digital Leadership and Quality Culture in Islamic Educational Institutions: A Multi-Level Empirical Study

    This study investigates the role of digital leadership in strengthening quality culture across Islamic educational institutions at various levels, from early childhood to higher education. Employing a qualitative multi-site case study approach, this research collected data through interviews, observations, and document analysis to explore how technological adoption and value-based practices shape institutional effectiveness. The findings reveal that digital leadership significantly enhances decision-making, coordination, instructional innovation, and the use of data-driven tools for quality monitoring. Leaders actively utilize digital platforms to support participatory, evidence-based governance and quality monitoring. The integration of Islamic values, including trustworthiness, discipline, and ethical digital conduct, further reinforces the consistency and depth of quality culture implementation, creating a leadership model that is both technologically adaptive and morally grounded. Higher education and senior secondary institutions show the highest level of maturity in integrating digital leadership with quality culture. In contrast, early childhood and elementary levels exhibit foundational digital adoption supported by strong value formation. The study concludes that successful digital transformation in Islamic education requires visionary leaders who can integrate technological competence, continuous quality improvement, and spiritual values. Practical implications highlight the need for structured digital capacity-building, leadership training, and strategic policy support. Future research is recommended to examine broader comparative contexts and the potential scalability of the proposed model

    Integration of Local Wisdom Values in Character Education: A Comparative Study between Indonesia and Malaysia

    Character education has become a strategic focus in shaping the quality of young generations in Indonesia and Malaysia, particularly amid the challenges of globalization, urbanization, and Western cultural influences that erode moral values and cultural identity. This study aims to identify models and practices for integrating local wisdom into character education, as well as to analyze the similarities, differences, and contributions of these practices to the development of students’ character in both countries. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a meta-synthesis approach to examine, evaluate, and synthesize qualitative research findings from accredited national and international journals (2019–2025). Fifteen articles met the final inclusion criteria (11 from Indonesia, 4 from Malaysia). The results indicate that: (1) In Indonesia, the integration of local wisdom values is implemented through curriculum, thematic learning, extracurricular activities, and habitual practices in daily life, whereas in Malaysia, integration occurs through specialized curricula, culturally-based instruction, and community education. (2) Similarities between the two countries lie in the role of local wisdom in strengthening moral, social, and religious character, while differences are found in cultural scope, curriculum focus, and language roles. (3) Integrating local wisdom significantly reinforces character education, fosters moral and social values, and preserves students’ cultural identity according to the national context of each country

    Fatwa memegang peranan penting dalam agama Islam sebagai instrumen hukum yang mampu menjembatani perkembangan hukum Islam di berbagai konteks budaya dan negara. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan penyebaran Islam ke seluruh penjuru dunia, fatwa menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk memandu umat dalam menyikapi persoalan hukum yang muncul, baik dari segi wajib, sunnah, makruh, haram, maupun mubah. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini meliputi kedudukan fatwa di berbagai negara Muslim serta dinamika budaya yang memengaruhi ikhtilaf fiqih saat ini. Pendekatan metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif, dengan elaborasi terhadap pertanyaan utama dan pertanyaan minor terkait definisi negara Muslim, kedudukan fatwa di Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Arab Saudi, serta analisis komparatifnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dinamika fatwa sangat dipengaruhi oleh budaya dan kebiasaan setempat, menjadikan fatwa bersifat dinamis dan masif. Islam tidak dipandang sebagai produk budaya, melainkan ajarannya mampu mewarnai berbagai aspek kebudayaan masyarakat, yang terbentuk dari perpaduan antara ajaran Islam dan budaya lokal. Keragaman ini mencerminkan otentisitas Islam dan keberagaman persepsi terhadap kebudayaan Islam serta realitas sosial masyarakatnya. Implementasi fatwa terkait erat dengan konstitusi dan sistem pemerintahan negara, namun secara fundamental, fatwa merupakan bentuk ketaatan pribadi terhadap sumber hukum utama, yakni Al-Qur’an dan Hadis.   Kata Kunci: Fatwa, Negara Muslim, Budaya, Ikhtilaf Fiqih

    Social Stigma and Resilience of Banjarmasin Correctional Centre Clients

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social stigma on the resilience of Banjarmasin Class 1 Correctional Centre clients. The researcher used a quantitative correlational research method. Respondents in this study were 100 people selected using a purposive sampling technique, with the criterion that clients had undergone mandatory reporting at the Bapas for approximately 1 week to 4 months. The research instrument used the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-25) and the Perceived Social Stigmatisation Scale (STS). The research data were analysed using simple linear regression in JASP 0.18.3. The analysis showed no effect of social stigma on resilience (t = 3.88, p = 0.89), thereby rejecting the hypothesis. This finding indicates that although Bapas clients still face social stigma, this condition does not directly weaken the client's ability to recover, adapt, and maintain healthy psychological functioning. The implications of this research contribute to social psychology studies, providing insight into the dynamics of resilience during social transition. Social stigma does not always function as a risk factor that weakens resilience. The presence of social stigma will only affect individuals if they interpret it negatively

    Abstract Assessing Student Needs as the Basis for Designing Appropriate and Efficient Educational Programs in Integrated Curriculum Settings of National and Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) Curriculum. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study investigates student needs analysis by exploring its objectives, key factors, stakeholders, challenges, solutions, and discrepancies between student needs and services at Wahidiyah Junior High School in Samarinda. The data were gathered via in-depth interviews with the principal, vice-principal for curriculum and student affairs, and teachers. The Miles and Huberman analytical model guided the process, encompassing data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings highlight the critical need to align educational services with students' actual conditions—academic performance, psychosocial well-being, interests, and abilities—as this analysis informs program planning, curriculum design, teaching strategies, and institutional improvements. While internal stakeholders (administrators, teachers, counselors) and external actors (parents/guardians) enrich the analysis with diverse insights, challenges persist. These include time/resource constraints, lack of standardized tools, inadequate teacher training, and difficulties translating findings into curricular and pedagogical adjustments. Notably, gaps exist in adaptive learning methods, socio-emotional guidance, and support for Pesantren life integration. Keywords: student needs analysis, educational services Abstrak Analisis kebutuhan peserta didik sebagai dasar perancangan program pendidikan yang sesuai dan efisien, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan yang menyatukan kurikulum umum dan kurikulum pesantren. Penelitian dalam skala kecil (Mini Research) dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif bertujuan untuk memotret beberapa aspek dari kegiatan analisis kebutuhan peserta didik seperti tujuan dan peran, faktor-faktor yang diperhatikan dan menjadi kebutuhan utama, pihak-pihak yang berperan; tantangan yang dihadapi dan solusi yang diterapkan, serta perbedaan antara kebutuhan peserta didik dengan layanan yang diberikan oleh SMP Wahidiyah Samarinda Samarinda. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui teknik wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum dan kesiswaan, serta guru. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis oleh Miles dan Huberman, yaitu dilakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa penyesuaian layanan pendidikan yang ada pada SMP Wahidiyah Samarinda Samarinda dengan kondisi nyata peserta didik, seperti keadaan akademis, psikologis, sosial, serta minat dan kemampuan merupakan aspek krusial dalam tujuan analisis, di mana analisis berperan sebagai landasan perencanaan program, penyusunan kurikulum, strategi pengajaran, dan pengembangan layanan pada SMP Wahidiyah Samarinda Samarinda. Proses analisis melibatkan sejumlah pihak internal (kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran, wali kelas, dan guru BK) serta eksternal (orang tua/wali peserta didik), yang berkontribusi besar terhadap kedalaman dan keakuratan informasi. Akan tetapi, pelaksanaannya mengalami sejumlah kendala, seperti terbatasnya waktu dan tenaga yang mengelola, belum adanya instrumen standar, minimnya pelatihan untuk para guru, serta kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan hasil analisis ke dalam kurikulum dan proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, teridentifikasi adanya jurang antara kebutuhan siswa dan layanan yang disediakan oleh sekolah, khususnya dalam aspek penyesuaian pembelajaran, pendampingan sosial-emosional, serta dukungan adaptasi terhadap kehidupan pesantren.     PENGARUH INTEGRASI NILAI KARAKTER DALAM KURIKULUM MERDEKA TERHADAP PERILAKU SISWA DI SMP ISLAM NURUL IHSAN PALANGKARAYA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh integrasi nilai karakter dalam Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap perilaku siswa kelas VIII di SMP Islam Nurul Ihsan Palangka Raya.  Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Data diperoleh melalui angket skala Likert yang disebarkan kepada 30 siswa dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat integrasi nilai karakter dalam Kurikulum Merdeka berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (82,8%), dengan nilai religius mencapai 88%, kejujuran dan tanggung jawab 85%, dan gotong royong 82%. Sementara itu, perilaku siswa berada pada kategori tinggi (76,8%), dengan skor religiusitas 81%, tanggung jawab akademik 80%, dan kedisiplinan 78%. Uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan (r = 0,684 > r tabel = 0,361), menandakan bahwa semakin tinggi penerapan nilai karakter, semakin baik pula perilaku siswa. Kurikulum Merdeka melalui Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) terbukti menjadi sarana strategis dalam internalisasi nilai karakter lintas disiplin. Implikasi  dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pelatihan guru secara berkelanjutan, penguatan kolaborasi sekolah dan keluarga, serta pengembangan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif agar karakter siswa dapat terbentuk secara optimal dan berkelanjutan di masa depan.     Abstract Improving the quality of learning is becoming increasingly important in the modern era. One aspect that influences learning quality is the availability of facilities and infrastructure. However, suboptimal management of facilities and infrastructure and a lack of attention to the principles of facility and infrastructure management often hamper the learning process. This study aims to analyze the optimization of facility and infrastructure management principles in improving learning quality at Darussalam Samarinda Islamic Junior High School (MTs). This research is descriptive and uses a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, document analysis, and observations. Data sources consisted of the madrasah principal, students, teachers, and the deputy principal for facilities and infrastructure. This study shows that improving the quality of learning can be done by applying the principles of optimal facility and infrastructure management, including: 1) the principle of achieving goals by providing infrastructure that supports learning objectives, 2) the principle of efficiency carried out starting from the maturity of planning and optimal use and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, 3) administrative principles through the provision of infrastructure according to quality standards, 4) clarity of responsibility with the division of roles and tasks to teachers, and 5) the principle of cohesiveness through coordination, cooperation, and participation of all parties. This study shows that the quality of learning in madrasas can be achieved through optimizing the principles of facility and infrastructure management optimally. This is a practical study that educational institutions need to design facility management strategies to meet learning objectives. Keywords: Quality of Learning, Principles, Facilities and Infrastructure Management   Abstrak Peningkatan mutu pembelajaran menjadi semakin penting di era modern. Salah satu aspek yang mempengaruhi mutu pembelajaran adalah ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana. Namun pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana yang belum optimal dan tidak memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip manajemen sarana dan prasarana sering menghambat proses pembelajaran. Studi ini bertujuan menganalisis optimalisasi prinsip-prinsip pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana dalam mutu pembelajaran di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Darussalam Samarinda. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan pengamatan. Sumber data terdiri dari kepala madrasah, siswa, guru, dan wakil kepala bidang sarana dan prasarana. Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan menerapkan prinsip prinsip pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana yang optimal, meliputi: 1) prinsip pencapaian tujuan dengan menyediakan sarana prasarana yang mendukung tujuan pembelajaran, 2) prisnip efisiensi yang dilakukan mulai dari kematangan perencanaan serta penggunaan dan pemeliharaan sarana dan prasarana yang optimal, 3) prinsip administratif melalui penyediaan sarana prasarana sesuai standar mutu, 4) kejelasan tanggung jawab dengan pembagian peran maupun tugas kepada guru, dan 5) prinsip kekohesifan melalui koordinasi, kerja sama, dan partisipasi seluruh pihak. Studi ini memperlihatkan bahwa mutu pembelajaran di madrasah dapat dicapai melalui optimaliasi prinsip-prinsip pengelolaan fasilitas dan infrastrutur secara optimal. Hal ini menjadi kajian praktis bahwa lembaga pendidikan perlu merancang strategi pengelolaan fasilitas untuk memenuhi tujuan pembelajaran.
