Get PDFThrough language, human beings can represent ideas, feelings, emotions and also name objects. We apprehend the world around us and the reality that is offered to us. We learn to represent the world and thus to possess it. Language is transformed into practice through discourse, but not only that: discourse is transformed into practices or, as it is said in psychoanalysis: the word becomes an act. Within language we also find schemes that typify human experience: how to resolve common situations, what treatment certain objects or persons deserve. Within these typifications, gender as a category shows us what men and women should be: what they are, how they should behave, how they should be treated.A través del lenguaje, los seres humanos podemos representar ideas, sentimientos, emociones y también nombrar objetos. Aprehendemos, pues, al mundo que nos rodea y la realidad que se nos ofrece. Aprendimos a representar al mundo y así poseerlo. El lenguaje se transforma en práctica a través del discurso, pero no sólo eso: el discurso se transforma en prácticas o, como se dice en psicoanálisis: la palabra deviene acto. Dentro del lenguaje también encontramos esquemas que tipifican la experiencia humana: cómo resolver las situaciones comunes, qué tratamiento merecen ciertos objetos o personas. Dentro de estas tipificaciones, el género como categoría nos muestra el deber ser de hombres y mujeres: qué son, cómo deben comportarse, qué tratamiento debemos darles

Get PDFThe article analyses the participation of women in politics, in particular, in the People’s Party (Pp) of Spain. The objective is to know the strategy that a political party follows to incorporate women, when no such specific measure exists. To this goal, we consider the following variables: the participation of women in the General Courts (Cortes Generales), age, education, occupation, and experience in the party and in public appointments within the Pp. In this way, we have been able to demonstrate that this party, despite not having a quota system, has opted for the integration of women in a deliberate and planned manner.En el artículo se analiza la participación de las mujeres en política, en concreto, en el Partido Popular de España. El objetivo es conocer la estrategia que sigue un partido para incorporar a mujeres, cuando decide no establecer ninguna medida específica que vaya en este sentido. Para ello, nos hemos dedicado a estudiar las siguientes variables: la participación de las mujeres en las Cortes Generales, la edad, el nivel de estudios, la ocupación, y la experiencia en el partido y en cargos públicos de las mujeres del Partido popular. De esta manera, hemos podido llegar a demostrar que este partido, pese a no contar con un sistema de cuotas, ha apostado por la integración de mujeres de una manera deliberada y planificada

Get PDFWith the aim of knowing the way in which inti mate experiences intervene in the scholarly trajectory of university students, life stories of se ven undergraduate students in different disciplinary areas of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) were collected through the use of narrative autobiography. The results show that family conflicts, strict parents, lack of interest in young people’s school life, as well as asymmetrical amorous relationships, re presented serious obstacles to academic performance. Nevertheless, school still represents one of the most meaningful spaces in women’s lives.Con el propósito de conocer la forma en que las experiencias en la esfera de la intimidad intervienen en la trayectoria escolar de estudiantes universitarias, se realizaron historias de vida mediante la narrativa autobiográfica de siete alumnas de licenciatura de la UNAM que cursaban carreras en diferentes áreas disciplinarias. Los resultados mostraron que los conflictos familiares, progenitores exigentes o el desinterés de éstos en la vida escolar de las jóvenes, así como relaciones amorosas asi métricas, representaron serios obstáculos para su desempeño académico. Sin embargo, la es cuela ha resultado ser uno de los espacios más significativos de su vida

Popular refrains and phrases of cultured and important men in history are analyzed. We see, among other things, that in both spaces, there is a similar hegemonic discourse: mockery and contempt about the to pic.El objetivo de este texto es revisar algunas expresiones universales del discurso social en torno a las relaciones de pareja y el matrimonio. Se revisan refranes populares y frases de hombres cultos e importantes de la historia. Y se comprueba, entre otras cosas, que en ambos espacios, hay un discurso hegemónico cultural similar: burla y desprecio sobre el tema.
