Culinary Caravan: Unveiling Klang Valley's food truck frenzy and culture
Investigating the relationships between product quality, food premises and food handlers' cleanliness and customer hygiene satisfaction yielded a crucial implication. The 116 customers of food trucks in Klang Valley revealed the cleanliness attributes related to their hygiene satisfaction. The regression analysis shows that food product quality was the most significant predictor. This study's findings can contribute valuably to improving cleanliness practices among food truck food handlers, serving as a foundation for promoting cleanliness standards within the Malaysia Food Truck Association
Tenancy Management: Tenant perceptions of the pre-tenancy and tenancy execution phases
This study aims to assess the tenant perception towards tenancy management of the properties of the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). A questionnaire was designed based on a breakdown of several attributes during the pre-tenancy and tenancy execution phases and distributed among the tenants. A descriptive analysis was conducted, and the findings show that the areas that the management could focus on to improve the tenancy management are the tenancy advertisement requirements; vacant possession and complaints handling process; facilities and amenities; simplified contract renewal process; interview sessions; and appropriate approach to solve rent arrears
Influence of ‘Bergendang’ Culture in the Spaces of Traditional Sarawak Malay House
Bergendang is a uniquely Sarawak Malay traditional entertainment frequently held during social gatherings . This paper investigates the spatial use of bergendang activity in traditional Malay houses along the Sarawak River in Kuching. The research employed a qualitative case study design approach through field study observation and semi-structured interviews. Findings revealed different spatial use of bergendang for the early and later models of Sarawak Malay houses, which is associated with house owners’ social status. Spatial studies on traditional Malay houses in other parts of Sarawak are recommended for constructing northern Borneo's vernacular Malay house framework

Role of University Campus in Driving Sustainability in Southeast Asia: A systematic content analysis
For the past two decades, the strategic role of universities in driving sustainability in Southeast Asia has been neglected. This paper fills the research gap by exploring the role of university campuses in promoting sustainability. Through a systematic content analysis of 52 articles, the study examines the focus areas of sustainability efforts on campuses. The findings highlight the primary focus on environment and social development (46%), followed by building and layout administrative and governance, and quality of service (40%). However, there is limited literature on inclusivity (8%), transportation, and mobility (6%) in relation to sustainability
Flood Identification and Mitigation: Flood risk trend by using PCA and SPC Analysis
PCA and SPC were used to identify data variables that trigger flooding and assess flood risk in the Muda River basin. Three (3) hydrologic variables, RL, WL, and SF, are analyzed using correlation tests, PCA and SPC. The Pearson correlation test shows SF and WL have significant correlations. The PCA indicates that all hydrologic variables are significant. The SPC shows ideal flood control values for the Muda River basin. The runoff value exceeding the UCL increases flood risk. The rapid expansion of development and anthropogenic activities have caused heavy rainfall and hydrologic variables to increase above normal levels
Malaysian Experience of Orang Asli Involuntary Resettlement Compensation Package
The Malaysian land law provides that upon registration, the title shall be indefeasible under the National Land Code (Revised 2020) (NLC) where the proprietor is guaranteed the security of tenure. However, for the Orang Asli, the Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 (Act 134) only declares a communal right to them and the right to revoke the declaration is vested in the government. Thus, only the courts' decisions proclaim the Orang Asli's land rights and an equitable compensation accorded to them upon eviction. This article examines the Orang Asli's' land rights and the compensation for involuntary resettlement
Strategy used by Small-Scale Food Entrepreneurs against the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic
The presence of small-scale food enterprises contributes significantly to the country's income while also providing numerous job opportunities in the community. The purpose of this study was to look at how small-scale food entrepreneurs try to stay in business while dealing with the effects of COVID-19. The strategies factor was developed using factor analysis, and descriptive analysis was used to examine demography, strategy practices, and the assistance in enhancing entrepreneurial strategy. This research has identified three strategies factors: add skills, service and supply, and reduce expenses. However, entrepreneurs must enhance their strategy by utilizing government assistance. As a result, the government must be vigilant in providing entrepreneurs with the assistance they require to rehabilitate businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
Evaluation of Selected Properties of Modified Sapium Baccatum and Neolamarckia Cadamba
This study was to evaluate the selected performances of modified Ludai (Sapium Baccatum) and Kelempayan (Neolamarckia Cadamba) wood species. Ludai and Kelempayan were impregnated with acetic anhydride at 80°C, 100°C, and 120°C for 15, 30, 60, 180, 300, and 420 min without catalyst. The highest WPG of 16% and 14% for Ludai and Kelempayan were obtained. VC% ranging from 0.5% to 10% were obtained. The ultimate OH-groups substituted of acetylated Ludai and Kelempayan at 120°C were 3.77 mmoles/g and 3.98 mmoles/g, respectively. Unlike the conventional preservative treatment in the industry today, wood-acetyl bonds pose a positive impact on the ecosystem
Use of Social Media by Adolescents for Nutrition Intervention: Factors to consider
Adolescents are the largest population using social media in daily life, and their use is influenced by a wide range of factors. Hence, it is applied in nutrition intervention, which improved their health. However, some intervention lacks participation and engagement. This study identifies factors influencing adolescents’ social media use for nutrition interventions. An in-depth interview was conducted virtually for 30 to 60 minutes focusing on nutrition-related matters with 15 adolescents. Almost all of them were interested to participate in nutrition interventions on social media. User characteristics, environmental factors, and social media features were identified as the factors impacting them
A Correlation Analysis between the Sense of Direction and Spatial Visualization in the Wayfinding System of a Complex Environment
This paper presents the findings of an ongoing study that explores the potential relationship between visitors' sense of direction and spatial ability in the context of navigation experience on a university campus. A structured questionnaire and tests were administered to 57 visitors who were unfamiliar with the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Puncak Alam, Selangor campus. The findings suggest that visitors' sense of direction and spatial ability are not significantly correlated. Although previous research has demonstrated a positive correlation between spatial visualization ability and a sense of direction, the relationship between these two factors may be more complex. Effective wayfinding systems require the consideration of visitors' spatial ability, as well as other cognitive processes involved in wayfinding, such as attention, memory, and decision-making of visitors' spatial ability as well as other cognitive processes involved in wayfinding, such as attention, memory, and decision-making. The findings of this study arguably contribute to the discussion of navigation and wayfinding in a complex environment
