The purpose of this study is to explain the fishermen's struggle in dealing with abrasion and rebuilding the economy back to normal. The area on the west coast of Minangkabau facing the Indian Ocean is inhabited by people living on the coast. The west coast of Sumatra is very prone to coastal abrasion, because it faces the Indian Ocean which has high waves and big waves, so that coastal erosion always occurs in several areas, including Agam Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, Padang City, and Pesisir Selatan Regency. In general, the west coast of Sumatra is a maritime-oriented residential area, both fishermen and other maritime cultural-oriented people. The nuances of their economic life are very dependent on the sea, such as fishing, processing of dried fish, sea transportation, port activities, shipping and trade. Ideally, all activities of fishing communities run smoothly according to the available natural and human resources. The method used is the historical research method, which includes heuristic (data collection), criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Several fishing settlements on the west coast of West Sumatra experienced coastal abrasion. As a result, they were forced to be moved to other settlements, so they could avoid the beach abrasion disaster. Automatically their livelihood changes and income also changes, resulting in social change. Those who initially worked as fishermen were forced to switch to the agricultural economy, because their settlement was far from the coast

Needle-stick Incidents among Nurses: Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices in the Workplace
This cross-sectional study assessed the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of nurses regarding needle-stick injuries (NSIs) in a public hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The majority of nurses exhibited good awareness of NSIs and related infections. Concerns about NSIs and sharps disposal containers were common among nurses. Most nurses practiced safe handling and disposal of needles but had room for improvement in consistent glove usage and adherence to post-exposure prophylaxis. Targeted interventions and educational programs are needed to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and practices, ensuring better workplace safety for healthcare workers and reducing the risk of blood-borne pathogen transmission

PVC Mesh as Adaptable Recycled Textile Waste towards Innovative Tropical Building Façade
Textile fibres are commodity materials that society will continue to use in large quantities for various applications yet also generate massive waste. Through coating application, upcycled textile waste has significant potential in building construction. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the usage of PVC mesh textile waste as a novel textile facade for Malaysian structures. Content analysis is used to analyse various textile façade constructions that perform architectural tasks. The overall conclusion found that PVC mesh covers all features in balance as a creative building façade that responds to the needs of the Malaysian tropical climate
Assessing Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Elements at Earlier-Built Transit Stations
Urban inaccessibility is part of urban transportation issues. TOD is a solution to promote accessibility, and land use planning is part of TOD principles. This paper shares the outcome of a study that focuses on the interrelationship of land use and TOD and evaluates the core areas of two earlier-built transit stations before TOD was put forward in Malaysia. Thematic analysis was employed together with site investigations, and results demonstrated the essential requirement of integrating land use planning in TOD and the performance of two transit stations which embrace some of the critical principles of TOD
Investigating the Effectiveness of Game Development for Educators
Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) has become a popular topic recently due to the rapid development of mobile devices. The objective of this study is to revalidate game principles via MALL and to obtain consensus and expert opinions on the principles. The study employs the Fuzzy Delphi technique to collect responses from nine English Language specialists. The triangular fuzzy numbering method was used to analyze the data, and the 'defuzzification' process was used to determine each variable's position (ranking). According to the findings, the response and expert consensus on the game principles scale is satisfactor
