Estimating the Impact of R&D Intensity on Manufacturing Firm Performance: An Instrumental Variable (TSLS) Analysis
This study investigates the causal impact of R&D intensity (RDI) on Chinese manufacturing firms' performance (ROA) using a panel instrumental variable approach. By leveraging enterprise life cycle stages (ELC) and industry competition intensity (DIC) as exogenous instruments, two-stage least squares (TSLS) estimates reveal a significant positive effect of RDI on ROA (0.41, p 19.93) and panel data superiority. Policy implications advocate targeted R&D subsidies for growth-phase firms and innovation alliances in competitive sectors. This work resolves the "R&D paradox" by contextualizing innovation impacts, offering actionable insights for industrial upgrading
Mga Guro sa Filipino na Nagtuturo ng Asignaturang ‘Di Filipino: Isang Multiple Case na Pananaliksik
Ang layunin ng multiple case na pag-aaral na ito ay upang galugarin ang mga karanasan, tuklasin ang mga mekanismo sa pagharap sa mga hamon at malaman ang mga pananaw sa mga naging karanasan ukol sa paglalakbay sa propesyonal na pag-unlad ng mga gurong medyor sa Filipino na nagtuturo ng asignaturang hindi Filipino. Gamit ang purposive sampling at pamantayan sa pagpipili ng mga kalahok, natukoy ang kalahok na 3 guro sa medyor Filipino na nagtuturo ng asignaturang Science, MAPEH, at Mathematics at lahat sila ay lumahok sa isang malalim na panayam. Ang mga resulta ay nagsiwalat ng mga karanasan ng mga kalahok nakararanas ng hamon sa: Kahirapan sa Pagtuturo dulot ng Kakulangan sa Kaalaman sa Asignaturang Ituturo; Pagsubok sa Pag-unawa ng Teknikal na mga Termino at Kakulangan ng Kagamitan para sa Epektibong Pagtuturo. Bilang tugon sa mga hamon na kanilang naranasan, itinuturing nilang mahalaga ang mga sumusunod na mekanismo sa pagharap ng mga hamon: Wastong Pamamahala ng Oras; Positibong Pagtanggap sa Hamon ng Pagtuturo; Pag-uugnay ng mga Malikhaing Aktibidad at Online Games sa Aralin at pagtanggap sa sariling pangangailangan at sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon. Sa pagninilay-nilay sa kanilang buong karanasan, narating nila ang mga sumusunod na pananaw kahalagahan ng propesyonal na pag-unlad, Kahalagahan ng Pasyon at Dedikasyon sa Pagtuturo, Kahalagahan ng Pagbibigay ng Seminars at Trainings sa mga Guro; Paghihikayat sa Kapwa Guro ay may malaking ambag sa pag-aaral
A Mixed- method Study on Problem- based Learning Approach and Mathematics Readiness of First- year Students
This study aims to explore the problem-based learning approach and the mathematics readiness of first-year students at Kapalong College of Agriculture Sciences and Technology. It adopts a descriptive correlational design to clearly illustrate specific conditions and analyze the relationships among various variables (McBurney & White, 2009). This design helps clarify the strength and direction of these relationships, making it possible to recognize patterns and trends. Being non-experimental, it involves observing and measuring variables in their natural setting. Although it can highlight associations, it does not determine cause-and-effect relationships. The key findings indicate that the implementation of the problem-based learning (PBL) approach is rated highly by students across the dimensions of authentic problems, collaboration, developing expertise, and authentic assessment. The level of students’ mathematics readiness is also high, particularly in subject knowledge, number sense, reasoning and generalization, and problem-solving. Furthermore, qualitative findings revealed that while students encountered difficulties in understanding and solving mathematical problems, they developed effective coping mechanisms such as seeking support, engaging in self-directed learning, collaborating with peers, and drawing motivation from internal and external sources, which contributed to their readiness in mathematics. There is a significant relationship between the problem-based learning approach and the mathematics readiness of first-year students, indicating that greater implementation of PBL strategies is associated with higher levels of readiness in mathematics. It can be concluded that the use of the problem-based learning (PBL) approach has a positive connection with students’ mathematics readiness. Since a significant relationship was found between PBL and mathematics readiness, it implies that PBL can be an effective instructional strategy to improve students’ mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. However, the presence of difficulties and varying coping mechanisms among students suggests that other factors, such as learning styles, support systems, and instructional delivery, may also influence their readiness. Thus, while PBL enhances mathematical preparedness, it should be complemented with tailored support to address individual student needs
A Convergent Parallel Study on the Level of Students' Mathematics Metacognition
This research sought to examine the extent of mathematics metacognition of first-year and second-year students, learn how they experience regulation of thought in solving mathematics problems, and recommend an intervention program based on the combined quantitative and qualitative results. A convergent parallel mixed methods design was used, integrating survey questionnaires to measure metacognitive knowledge, experience, and monitoring, as well as phenomenological strategies via in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to capture the real experiences of the students. Quantitative results reported a very generalized level of mathematics metacognition (mean = 4.28), proving that students think mathematically while reflecting, monitoring, and controlling. Qualitative results supported this finding, showing that learners apply formal techniques such as Polya's approach and group learning practices—peer discussion and web resources—to ease understanding and accuracy. It can be assumed that despite having good metacognitive knowledge in mathematics, students still encounter significant challenges, particularly in maintaining confidence during complex problem-solving situations, managing their dependence on external aids such as peers or web tools, and relying more on memory than logical reasoning. These results highlight the call for carefully designed interventions that promote autonomous thinking, build conceptual knowledge, and improve students' self-regulation and monitoring of their learning to achieve ultimate math attainment
Determining the Influence of Collaborative Learning on Critical Thinking of Students through a Mixed- method Investigation
This research intended to investigate the influence of collaborative learning (CL) on critical thinking (CT) among Elementary Education students exploring its status, influential domains, student’s experiences and insights using a mixed-method convergent-parallel approach. This study employed a mixed method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data through a convergent parallel design to gain a comprehensive understanding of the research problem. The research design also included descriptive correlational and phenomenological elements, allowing for the examination of relationships between variables and the exploration of lived experiences. Quantitative results exhibit a very high level of student’s attitudes towards collaborative learning and a high level of critical thinking. It also found that there is a significant relationship between the two variables which are the collaborative learning and critical thinking which was substantiated by the result while qualitative data found that collaborative learning is effective in enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving fostering a positive learning environment and promoting intellectual growth. Data triangulation confirmed its positive influence on critical thinking, fostering intellectual growth and problem-solving. The study concluded that collaborative learning has a significant influence on critical thinking among Elementary Education students, supported by both quantitative and qualitative findings that revealed a strong relationship between the two variables
From Strategic Partnership to Managed Frictions: The Political Economy of U.S.–Canada Relations
This article examines the evolving dynamics of U.S.–Canada relations during 2024–2026, arguing that the partnership has transitioned from seamless alignment to a state of managed friction. Despite deep integration in trade, security, energy, and border management, recent disputes over tariffs, defense spending, environmental policy, and migration demonstrate that the relationship now requires active negotiation rather than automatic harmony. Drawing on the theoretical lens of asymmetrical interdependence (Keohane & Nye, 1977) and the literature on middle power diplomacy, the analysis highlights how structural imbalances in size and power allow the United States to impose costs, while Canada relies on institutions and coalition-building to safeguard its interests
Global Research Trends on Learning Resources Accessibility for Pupils with Visual Impairments in Integrated Primary Schools: Bibliometric Analysis
This study employed a bibliometric approach to analyse global research trends on learning resource accessibility for pupils with visual impairments in integrated primary schools. Using the Dimensions scientific database, 82 peer-reviewed empirical studies published between 2020 and August 2025 were examined with VOSviewer 1.6.20 to identify leading authors, journals, countries, organizations, and thematic areas. Findings revealed that Palacious-Rodriguez, Antonio; Ruiz-Palmero, Julio; and Batanero, Jose Maria Fernández were the most influential authors, producing high-impact research shaping inclusive education discourse. The British Journal of Educational Technology, Education Science, and Disability & Society emerged as the top publishing outlets, providing interdisciplinary platforms for scholarship on accessibility and assistive learning technologies. Among institutions, the University of Seville, University of Punjab, and University of Technology Malaysia led in publication impact, while African universities, notably the University of Zambia and University of Dar es Salaam, demonstrated growing regional engagement. Country-wise, the United Kingdom and Russia recorded the highest publication outputs and citations, whereas Tanzania and Zambia showed emerging but influential contributions reflecting low- and middle-income contexts. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed dominant clusters such as technology, inclusion, policy, access, and learners, reflecting a global focus on equitable education through assistive and digital technologies. Despite increased research attention, persistent disparities in learning resource accessibility remain, underscoring the need for enhanced collaboration, policy innovation, and investment in assistive technologies to promote inclusive, equitable, and quality education for pupils with visual impairments

Buku ajar berjudul "Kebutuhan Dasar Manusia Kebidanan" merupakan sumber belajar komprehensif, sistematis, dan relevan yang disusun khusus bagi mahasiswa serta praktisi kebidanan sebagai landasan utama dalam memberikan asuhan kebidanan secara holistik. Materi dalam buku ini disusun secara terstruktur mulai dari konsep dasar kebutuhan manusia menurut teori Maslow dan Virginia Henderson hingga aplikasi praktisnya dalam manajemen asuhan kebidanan.
Pembahasan di dalamnya mencakup 11 bab krusial yang meliputi pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik seperti oksigenasi, cairan, elektrolit, nutrisi, eliminasi urin dan fekal, aktivitas, mobilisasi, istirahat, tidur, personal hygiene, serta termoregulasi. Selain aspek fisik, buku ini juga menekankan pentingnya pemenuhan kebutuhan rasa aman, nyaman, perlindungan, serta dukungan psikososial dan spiritual bagi klien. Buku yang telah dilengkapi dengan Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) terbaru tahun 2025 ini menyajikan latihan soal dan gambar ilustrasi detail pada setiap bab untuk mempermudah mahasiswa dalam memahami proses pengkajian, perumusan diagnosis, perencanaan, hingga evaluasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar manusia secara profesional dan etis. Kehadiran buku ini diharapkan mampu menjadi rujukan utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak yang berbasis pada pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar secara menyeluruh dan berkesinambungan

Buku ajar Manajemen Kinerja ini disusun sebagai panduan komprehensif bagi mahasiswa, dosen, dan praktisi dalam memahami proses manajerial yang berorientasi pada peningkatan produktivitas individu dan organisasi. Dimulai dari pemahaman konsep dasar (Bab 1), buku ini membawa pembaca melalui tahapan siklus manajemen kinerja (Bab 2), perumusan tujuan dan efektivitas sistem (Bab 3), hingga proses perencanaan yang sistematis (Bab 4).
Dalam bab-bab selanjutnya, pembaca diajak memahami faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pencapaian kinerja, seperti budaya organisasi (Bab 5), sistem penilaian (Bab 6 dan 7), serta perumusan indikator dan nilai (Bab 8). Bab 9 membahas secara kritis hambatan dan bias yang sering muncul dalam proses penilaian. Sedangkan Bab 10 hingga 12 fokus pada pengambilan keputusan, evaluasi dan pengembangan SDM, serta strategi peningkatan kinerja.
Bab 13 mengulas metode penilaian berbasis umpan balik 360 derajat, yang semakin populer di organisasi modern. Bab terakhir (Bab 14) menyatukan keseluruhan pemahaman dengan membimbing pembaca merancang sistem penilaian kinerja SDM secara utuh mulai dari desain indikator, proses implementasi, hingga integrasi dengan sistem SDM lainnya.
