Realismo científico típico versus antirrealismos. El argumento del “no milagro” frente a tres posturas rivales
Get PDFIn this paper we intend to investigate the debate raised within the philosophy of science between realists and anti-realists. We will examine the argument known as the non-miracle argument , which seeks to establish realism as the only legitimate explanation for the success of science. In order to dismiss this claim, we will oppose it with three counter-arguments: the criticism of scientific realism that Larry Laudan makes in A Confutation of Convergent Realism; Bastiaan Van Fraassen's jungle plot of tooth and claw ; and the implications of the assumption of separability proposed by Paul Feyerabend.En el presente trabajo nos proponemos indagar en el debate suscitado al interior de la filosofía de la ciencia entre realistas y antirrealistas. Examinaremos el argumento conocido como argumento del no milagro, que pretende establecer al realismo como la única explicación legítima del éxito de la ciencia. Con el objetivo de desestimar esta pretensión, opondremos al mismo tres contraargumentos: la crítica al realismo científico que Larry Laudan lleva a cabo en A Confutation of Convergent Realism; el argumento de la jungla de dientes y garras de Bastiaan Van Fraassen; y las implicancias del supuesto de separabilidad propuesto por Paul Feyerabend
Cambios de paradigma: Macedonio Fernández o la confluencia entre filosofía y literatura
Get PDFMacedonio Fernández (1874-1952) has been one of the most influential names for writers and thinkers of the 20th century in Argentina. His work is made up of stories, novels, stories, essays, poems and theses that participate, in turn, in currents belonging to the field of literature, as well as philosophy. His poetry, far from being an organic whole, presents deep tensions that produce the confluence of a lucid ontological writing that coexists with resources and forms from fiction. In the following work, we will analyze what issues determined the pre-eminence of a literary reading of his texts before an equally viable one from the perspective of philosophy. To do this, we will analyze not only the context in which his writing appeared, but also his career as a writer and the repercussions that the approach to his writings produced.Macedonio Fernández (1874-1952) ha sido uno de los nombres más influyentes para los escritores y pensadores del siglo XX en Argentina. Su obra está integrada por cuentos, novelas, relatos, ensayos, poemas y tesis que participan, a su vez, de corrientes pertenecientes al ámbito de la literatura, así como de la filosofía. Su poética, lejos de ser un todo orgánico, presenta profundas tensiones que producen la confluencia de una lúcida escritura ontológica que convive con recursos y formas provenientes de la ficción. En el siguiente trabajo, analizaremos qué cuestiones determinaron la preeminencia de una lectura literaria de sus textos antes que una igualmente viable desde la perspectiva de la filosofía. It contains everything that is, and everything that could be, every time it dares to name the sublime ecstasy of love and everything that shines. Here I resign myself, to sing and speak to the heart of man. Everything that is revealed around my restlessness is nothing more than a mirror. The vision of a tremendous majesty fills my conscience for the ironic feats of omnipotence that was granted to me. Short is my eternity. Short is my eternity! I live and exist whenever kings dream. We hope that the laughter, the tension, the efforts, the bodily pain, our reflections, the vitality, the sensations reach them; in short, everyone's eyes.Deseamos aportar una perspectiva íntegra de nuestro proceso formativo a partir de una práctica artística como lo es la danza, y las inquietudes suscitadas durante nuestra formación filosófica acerca de la relación filosofía-danza; en otras palabras, la relación entre nuestro pensamiento y cuerpo. He teaches Aesthetics at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires and was a teacher of the same subject at the Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Dr. Joaquín V. González” and at the National University of Arts. She is the author of the book The life that comes. Aesthetics and political philosophy in the thought of Giorgio Agamben (EUDEBA, 2015) and coordinator of the collective book El situationismo y sus derivas actuales. About the relations between art and politics in contemporary aesthetics (Prometheus, 2015). He has published numerous articles in specialized international journals and has participated in conferences, meetings and conferences and has given lectures in various places in Argentina and Latin America. Participates in research groups on aesthetics and contemporary philosophy. He is a member of the Matter Collective. Práctica estética, vanguardismo y hegemonía en Ricardo Piglia
Get PDFThe aesthetic reflection corresponding to the production critic- theory of Ricardo Piglia, is part of the debates within the field of Marxist discussion, from the '60s to the present, in Argentina. Piglia's contribution to the discussions about the link between literature and production conditions, aesthetic practice and capitalism ranges from his original reading of Walter Benjamin, Mao Tse-tung, Yuri Tinianov and Russian Formalism, to cultural studies and the Althusserian structuralism. From this complex plot of readings, and in permanent tension with the various currents of the left-wing intelligentsia(s) of his time, Piglia develops some reading hypotheses that he would continue to re-elaborate until his last interventions and conferences. In this sense, I will develop some links between the categories of aesthetic practice, hegemony and avant-garde, that emerge from piglian aesthetic reflection, in relation to the conditions of the Argentine cultural field of the last century.La reflexión estética correspondiente a la producción crítico-teórica de Ricardo Piglia, se inscribe en los debates al interior del campo de discusión marxista, desde los años ’60 hasta la actualidad, en la Argentina. El aporte de Piglia a las discusiones en torno al vínculo entre literatura y condiciones de producción, práctica estética y capitalismo, va de su original lectura de Walter Benjamín, Mao Tse-tung, Yuri Tinianov y el Formalismo Ruso, a los estudios culturales y el Estructuralismo Althusseriano. A partir de esta compleja trama de lecturas, y en tensión permanente con las diversas corrientes de la intelectualidad de izquierda(s) de su época, Piglia desarrolla algunas hipótesis de lectura que continuaría re-elaborando hasta sus últimas intervenciones y conferencias. Get PDFThe lines that follow are intended to investigate the formulation from the dimension aesthetics in Marcuse. For this, some considerations of the author about art and the revolutionary possibilities that it entails will be addressed. For Marcuse, art can become a subversive element that would configure a sensitivity different from that produced by a society governed by a principle of reality that stagnates the realization of pleasure based on a burdened and wasted life among men. The possibilities of a new configuration of social relations, which are in accordance with the pacification of existence and the free development of human capacities, have their condition of possibility in the aesthetic form that shows, and until now immediately hides, the horizon of a principle of reality that establishes the bases on which human life would be worth living.Las líneas que siguen se proponen indagar la formulación de la dimensión estética en Marcuse. Para ello se abordará algunas consideraciones del autor sobre el arte y las posibilidades revolucionarias que éste comporta. Para Marcuse, el arte puede llegar a ser un elemento subversivo que configuraría una sensibilidad diferente a la que produce una sociedad regida por un principio de realidad que estanca la realización del placer en función de una vida agobiada y malograda entre los hombres. Las posibilidades de una nueva configuración de las relaciones sociales, que estén de acuerdo con la pacificación de la existencia y el libre desarrollo de las capacidades humanas, tienen su condición de posibilidad en la forma estética que muestra, y hasta ahora inmediatamente esconde, el horizonte de un principio de realidad que establezca las bases sobre las cuales la vida humana sería digna de ser vivida

Get PDFThe slow incorporation of the gender category since the 1960s involved a questioning of the great academic paradigms of social analysis. In this framework, the present work reflects the results of a historiographical investigation that addresses the theoretical production of the writer Joan Scott, of outstanding academic recognition in gender studies, both in the Social and Human Sciences in general and within Feminist History. He himself undertakes a bibliographic review of his career in contrast to that of the historians of British Marxism Edward Thompson and Eric Hobsbawm, whose debated works made such international recognition possible. With the technical-qualitative implementation of documentary observation, through a feminist historical approach, we intend to deepen the problem of the discussion about the category of gender in critical and intertextual debates, in addition to the trajectories of the English writers and the North American author.La lenta incorporación de la categoría de género desde los años 60s supuso un cuestionamiento a los grandes paradigmas académicos de análisis social. En ese marco el presente trabajo refleja los resultados de una investigación historiográfica que aborda la producción teórica de la escritora Joan Scott, de destacado reconocimiento académico en los estudios de género, tanto en las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas en general como al interior de la Historia feminista. El mismo encara un recorrido bibliográfico de su trayectoria en contraste con la de quienes, con cuyas debatidas obras, posibilitaron tal reconocimiento a nivel internacional, los historiadores del marxismo británico Edward Thompson y Eric Hobsbawm. Con la implementación técnico-cualitativa de observación documental, mediante un enfoque histórico feminista, pretendemos profundizar la problemática sobre la discusión acerca de la categoría de género en los debates críticos e intertextuales, además de las trayectorias propias de los escritores ingleses y la autora norteamericana
