Nick Scully Headshot
Nick Scully graduated from Christian Brothers College in 1971 but remained pivotal to the school. In 1989, he was promoted from Director of Development to Vice President for Institutional Advancement. His fundraising efforts led to the construction of Buckman Hall, renovations for the School of Engineering, and improvements to athletic facilities like the remodeling of De La Salle Hall and Canale Arena.
A contributing factor in Christian Brothers University’s first win in NCAA national championship in women’s soccer was the 1999 gift for women’s athletic scholarships. During his term, the university raised over 20 million.
For his work in institutional advancement, Scully received the 1999 Dave Jones Award from the Department of Leadership and Organizations of Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Additionally, he was awarded the 2000 Crystal awards for Philanthropy in Memphis and the Mid-South.
