Vernon Square Campus of UDC, but the DC Appropriations Committee refused to approve the funding. Eventually, UDC sold its Mt. This video recording includes songs and hymns performed by American Baptist College staff, students, and faculty. The audio and video cuts in and out during acknowledgements starting at 01:48:00. At 01:52:00 the video transitions to a breakfast with opening remarks by American Baptist College President McGlothian followed by a plaque tribute to Rev. Samuel Hale, Jr. At 02:00:45, guest speaker Pearl Glory, Dean of the Methodist Extension Unit, speaks about “Praying in the Midst of Opposition,” in which she emphasizes giving God full control of our lives. At 02:30:30, the video transitions to a luncheon in which Dr. Julius Scruggs introduces guest speaker Rev. Dr. Vincent Leroy McCutcheon, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in East Chicago. At 02:36:25, Dr. McCutcheon speaks about “biological contemplation” and encourages participants to find commonalities between one another to persevere in the midst of economic, political, and social storms
