A comparative study of differences between participants in two popular sports
The article aims to explore the differences in leisure activity frequency between cyclists and runners, as well as the frequency of participation in various mass sports activities. It also analyzes the habits and experiences of participants in these two activities and explains the correlation between their participation in mass sports activities and their lifestyle. The study sample consists of leisure cyclists (194) and runners (664), including participants in two of China\u27s largest mass sports events, the Lake Taihu International Cycling Race and the Beijing Marathon. The research is based on both quantitative and qualitative methods, and the results show that cyclists are more active than runners and participate in more activities. Moreover, the majority of those classified as "enthusiastic" participants are cyclists. The conclusion is that an individual\u27s active lifestyle is influenced by their previous sports participation and experiences. Most of them consider engagement in sports as a way to evaluate themselves, and participation in different sports activities represents a unique leisure lifestyle
Preliminary discussion on the current status of city marathons in China
In recent years, city marathons in China have shown a significant upward trend, spreading across the country. The more recognized city marathons are, the more they reflect their endless charm and powerful functions. By consulting a large amount of literature, conducting discussions with numerous marathon experts and participants, and visiting marathon events on site in various locations, the author has concluded that in addition to the often-mentioned role as a city\u27s calling card, there are many "functions" that organizers need to explore and many details that require improvement. Furthermore, city marathons have become a necessary choice for people to alleviate life pressures, reduce status anxiety, and achieve a strong physique, a perfect personality, and a healthy lifestyle
Psychological factors influencing volleyball serving techniques in vocational college students
This paper takes volleyball specialty students from several higher vocational colleges in Tianjin as the research subjects and investigates the psychological factors affecting the serving technique of volleyball players in higher vocational colleges. Through surveys and analyses of teachers and students, the following conclusions are drawn: The majority of volleyball specialty students in Tianjin higher vocational colleges recognize the importance of psychological factors in volleyball competitions. The focus of their understanding of the role of psychological factors in volleyball matches varies, with the highest recognition rates being the stabilization of technical performance levels, enhancement of self-confidence, and improvement of adaptability on the court. The understanding of the role of positive psychological factors is not comprehensive, but most volleyball specialty students agree that serving technique affects the outcome of the match. The objective factors affecting the serving psychology of volleyball players in competitions are diverse, with the top three being the accelerated pace of scoring, shortened match duration, and changes in match rhythm. The proficiency in serving technique, lack of concentration, and poor emotional control are the objective factors that influence the serving psychology of volleyball players in competitions
Monitoring Pre-competition Indicators in Elite Adolescent Racewalkers
This study tracked the physiological and biochemical indicators of five elite adolescent racewalkers during the phase training before the final of the 18th Jiangsu Provincial Games. The results indicate that the training of adolescent racewalkers should follow the principle of individual differences. In the training plan, emphasis should be placed on the arrangement of speed intensity and training load. Adjustments should be made in a timely manner based on the changes in the athletes\u27 physiological and biochemical indicators. In addition to rational training, attention should also be paid to nutritional supplementation, especially in the recovery from physical fatigue. Furthermore, given the significant emotional and psychological fluctuations of adolescent athletes, timely psychological counseling is also necessary
Ink and Brush: The way of transforming calligraphy and painting
Calligraphy and painting, created with a brush on rice paper, are unique art forms of the Chinese people. After thousands of years of development, Chinese calligraphy and painting have formed a complete system of ink and brush expression. Although calligraphy and painting appear in different forms, they share the same spirit of brush and ink. Today, due to the influence of Western trends, calligraphy and painting have strayed from tradition, often focusing only on the shaping and expression of form, without further capturing the spirit or embodying the essence of Chinese Confucian, Buddhist, and Taoist cultures. The future development of calligraphy and painting must first return to the context of traditional Chinese culture and be reviewed from the perspective of Chinese cultural vision and the inheritance of calligraphy and painting
New-type urbanization and the aesthetics of Jiangnan towns
Urban aesthetics is an interdisciplinary science between aesthetics and urban studies. Its emergence is both the result of aesthetics transitioning from theory to practice and the inevitable reflection in the field of aesthetic research of the modern city\u27s development trend from a purely functional city to a composite aesthetic city. The research on the aesthetics of Jiangnan towns integrates the theoretical achievements of Chinese and Western urban aesthetics, environmental aesthetics, and ecological aesthetics. It meets the needs of coordinated development among various types of cities in China, follows the strategic layout of new concepts and trends in modern urban development regarding ecological and humanistic environments, and widely connects with the specific aspects of local aesthetic experience in Jiangnan\u27s characteristic cities, especially small towns (mainly in northern Zhejiang and southern Jiangsu), including nature, history, human culture, and individuality. This research provides theoretical positioning and practical criticism of the aesthetic character of Jiangnan towns, forms an organic constraint on the economic behavior and legal system of urban construction, and constructs an aesthetic system for Jiangnan towns
The effects of exercise intensity on energy expenditure, weight, and lee\u27s index in adolescent obese rats
Objective: To investigate the effects of different intensity exercise prescriptions on immediate energy expenditure, body weight, and Lee\u27s Index in adolescent obese rats immediately after exercise during an 8-week weight loss process. Methods: After 7 weeks of modeling, 32 obese rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 8 rats in each group: obese control group, low-intensity exercise group, moderate-intensity exercise group, and high-intensity exercise group. The running speeds on the treadmill for the three intensity levels were set at 15–18 m/min, 21–25 m/min, and 28–32 m/min, respectively, with 5 sessions per week and 60 minutes per session for 8 weeks. Body weight was measured and Lee\u27s Index was calculated weekly. A rat metabolic system was used to measure the immediate oxygen uptake and energy expenditure in rats after exercise. Results: During the 8-week intervention, the exercise groups showed significantly higher immediate post-exercise muscle oxygen uptake and total oxygen uptake, as well as muscle energy expenditure and total energy expenditure compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). The high-intensity group had higher values than the low-intensity group (P<0.05). Weight gain was significantly lower in the intervention groups compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). Lee\u27s Index was significantly lower in the intervention groups at week 8 compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01), with no significant differences between different exercise intensities (P>0.05). In adolescent obese rats, body weight tends to increase with age, while muscle oxygen uptake, total oxygen uptake, muscle energy expenditure, and total energy expenditure tend to decrease. After 8 weeks of exercise intervention, different intensity exercise prescriptions can increase immediate post-exercise oxygen uptake and energy expenditure in adolescent obese rats, with the most significant effects observed in the high-intensity group. Weight gain and Lee\u27s Index were reduced, but the effects were less influenced by exercise intensity

Social work strategies for puberty rebellion
Puberty is an important and inevitable stage for adolescents\u27 physical and psychological development and the establishment of their ideological concepts. As adolescents\u27 self-awareness strengthens during puberty, they tend to exhibit rebellious behaviors, with their actions and attitudes becoming confrontational and critical. This is a highly prominent psychological phenomenon of rebellion among adolescents in puberty. However, when adolescents experience rebellious issues, they often fail to be understood by their parents and teachers and do not receive proper guidance from the outside world. This ultimately leads to the further development of their rebellious problems, which may transform into pathological or criminal mindsets, causing serious consequences. In response to this situation, this paper analyzes the emergence of rebellious issues among adolescents in puberty, which is influenced by various factors from multiple aspects, including their own physiological and psychological conditions as well as influences from society, family, or school. By combining case studies in practice, the research has identified effective strategies for social work intervention in addressing adolescents\u27 rebellious issues
Ecological EF in alcohol-dependent patients
Objective: To investigate the characteristics of ecological executive functioning in alcohol- dependent patients. Methods: The Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Adult Version (BRIEF-A) was used to assess 103 alcohol-dependent patients and 106 healthy volunteers. Results: The total score and all factor scores of the alcohol-dependent patients were significantly higher than those of the healthy volunteers (all P<0.01). The daily alcohol consumption of alcohol-dependent patients was significantly positively correlated with working memory and emotional control of executive functioning (both P<0.05). Emotional control of executive functioning was identified as a risk factor for alcohol dependence (OR=1.375,P<0.05). Conclusion: Alcohol-dependent patients exhibited significant impairment in ecological executive functioning, with greater impairment observed in those with higher alcohol consumption. Poor emotional control was identified as a risk factor for alcohol dependence
