Objective: To assess whether N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)treatment can improve inflammatory markers and nutritional status in patients undergoing Maintenance Hemodialysis (MHD). Methods: A total of 71 patients who had been on hemodialysis for more than 6 months were selected and randomly divided into an NAC treatment group (NAC 600 mg, twice daily,41 cases) and a control group (no medication,30 cases). Routine clinical data were collected, and a 3-month observation period was initiated. Inflammatory markers, including high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (h s-CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-10(IL-10), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), and homocysteine levels, were measured before and after treatment. Nutritional indicators, such as hemoglobin, serum albumin, and prealbumin levels, were also assessed before and after treatment. Results: After 3 months of NAC treatment in hemodialysis patients, h s-CRP and IL-6 levels significantly decreased compared to pre-treatment levels(both P<0.01).Homocysteine levels also significantly decreased(P<0.05).Hemoglobin, serum albumin, and prealbumin levels significantly increased(P<0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).The reduction in h s-CRP levels in female MHD patients was significantly greater than that in male patients(P<0.01).Conclusion: NAC treatment can reduce inflammatory marker levels and improve nutritional status in hemodialysis patients, thereby benefiting these patients from anti-inflammatory therapy

In the field of research on the detection of various harmful gases, nano-semiconductor metal oxide gas sensors hold a very important position. As an n-type semiconductor metal oxide, tungsten oxide has become a research focus and hotspot in gas-sensitive materials in recent years due to its unique structural and performance characteristics. This paper briefly introduces the gas-sensing response mechanism of tungsten oxide-based gas-sensitive materials, summarizes the main processes and directions for improving the gas-sensing performance of nano-tungsten oxide materials in recent years, and finally points out its own shortcomings and future research and development directions

Study on Biology and Ecology of Rare Tree Acer miaotaiense

Acer miaotaiense is a third-grade nationally protected plant in China. It was originally recorded as sporadically distributed in a few areas of the western section of the Qin ling Mountains. In recent years, a wild population of Acer miaotaiense was discovered for the first time in the Fu Niu Mountains of Henan Province. This discovery has refined and corrected the delineation of the distribution range of this species in China over the past half-century, and it is of great significance for research on its origin, resource protection, and cultivation techniques. The morphological characteristics and biological traits of Acer miaotaiense were observed and described, and its wild populations were investigated. The results show that the species has stringent habitat requirements. Although it is one of the dominant species in the surveyed community, its age structure is extremely incomplete, and the population shows a trend of gradual decline. This paper also explores the reasons for the endangerment of Acer miaotaiense and proposes conservation strategies

The diagnostic value of combined TCD and CTA in intracranial arterial stenosis

To investigate the clinical diagnostic value of computed tomographic angiography (CTA)and transcranial Doppler (TCD)used separately and in combination for intracranial arterial stenosis. Methods: A total of 47 patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Qiqihar Medical University from June 2015 to June 2016 were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent both TCD and CTA examinations, followed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA). Results: Using DSA as the gold standard, the results of TCD and CTA were evaluated. Among the 47 patients, a total of 67 intracranial arterial stenoses were detected by DSA.TCD identified 53 stenoses, CTA identified 52 stenoses, and the combined diagnosis of CTA and TCD identified 64 stenoses. The combined diagnosis of CTA and TCD was significantly higher than that of a single examination method.().Conclusion: The combined diagnosis of intracranial arterial stenosis using TCD and CTA can avoid missed diagnoses and provides a reliable basis for clinical decision-making, offering an objective foundation for further clinical treatment

Objective To investigate the effects of rAd-p53 and cisplatin (DDP)alone or in combination on the proliferation, apoptosis, and KAI1/CD82 protein expression of human gastric cancer SGC7901 cells. Methods SGC7901 cells were treated with rAd-p53, DDP, or their combination for 24,48, and 72 hours. The proliferation activity of SGC7901 cells was measured using the CCK-8 assay. Apoptosis rates were determined by flow cytometry, and the expression of KAI1/CD82 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Both rAd-p53 and DDP alone, as well as their combination, inhibited the proliferation of SGC7901 cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner. The proliferation inhibition rate of the combination group was significantly higher than that of the single-agent groups, with statistically significant differences compared to the negative control group(P<0.05).After 48 hours of treatment with rAd-p53,DDP,or their combination, the apoptosis rates were 36.94%±0.78%,28.79%±2.37%,and 69.26%±0.63%,respectively,all of which were significantly higher than that of the negative control group(16.72%±1.54%,P<0.05).Both rAd-p53 and DDP alone, as well as their combination, upregulated the expression of KAI1/CD82 protein, with the combination group showing the most significant increase. Conclusion Both rAd-p53 and DDP alone, as well as their combination, can inhibit the growth of gastric cancer SGC7901 cells and induce apoptosis. The combination of the two drugs enhances the inhibitory effect on gastric cancer cells. rAd-p53 may induce apoptosis in SGC7901 cells by upregulating the expression of KAI1/CD82, thereby enhancing the antitumor effect of DDP
