Das Querschnittsthema Nachhaltigkeit in betriebswirtschaftlichen Studiengängen
No full textDie Integration von Nachhaltigkeit in betriebswirtschaftliche Studiengänge gewinnt angesichts globaler ökologischer, sozialer und wirtschaftlicher Herausforderungen an Bedeutung. Hochschulen sind gefordert, Studierende auf diese Themen vorzubereiten, um sie zu befähigen, nachhaltige Lösungen zu entwickeln. Diese Kompetenz fördert nicht nur die gesellschaftliche Verantwortung der Unternehmen, sondern auch deren langfristigen Erfolg. Dieser Beitrag untersucht, wie Nachhaltigkeitsthemen in betriebswirtschaftliche Curricula integriert werden können, wobei organisatorische und inhaltliche Aspekte betrachtet werden. Die Methode basiert auf einer Schneeball-Literaturrecherche und der Analyse von internationalen Rahmenbedingungen sowie praktischen Beispielen. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf einem MBA-Programm der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, dessen Nachhaltigkeitsintegration untersucht wurde. Es werden sowohl die Notwendigkeit als auch die Herausforderungen der Integration diskutiert. Abschließend gibt der Beitrag Empfehlungen zur Umsetzung und fördert eine ganzheitliche Sichtweise auf nachhaltige betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung
Bryophyllum pinnatum modulation of signaling pathways relevant for preterm labor in human myometrial cells
No full textPreparations of Bryophyllum pinnatum have been used as a well-tolerated treatment of preterm labor, initially in anthroposophic hospitals and, more recently, also in conventional settings. In vitro studies with human myometrial cells have shown that B. pinnatum leaf press juice inhibits both intracellular Ca2 + signaling and the activation of inflammatory pathways induced by the relevant hormone oxytocin. However, the compounds responsible for these inhibitory effects and the potential involvement of related signaling pathways remain unknown. In the present study, we aim to address these knowledge gaps. In vitro experiments were conducted in hTERT-C3 human myometrial cells, using alamarBlue assay, fluorescent intracellular Ca2+ assay, ELISA, proteomics and real-time PCR. Contractility studies were conducted in an ex vivo organ bath model using human myometrial tissue. No single compound from B. pinnatum leaves mimicked the inhibitory effect of the whole leaf press juice on OT-induced Ca2+ signaling. However, a bufadienolide-enriched fraction and the bufadienolides bersaldegenin-1,3,5-acetate, bryophyllin A and bersaldegenin-3-acetate, but not bersaldegenin-1-acetate, reduced OT-induced COX-2 expression and attenuated NFκB activation. That the juice can inhibit prostaglandin F2α-induced contractions was shown in the myometrium bath model. Proteomics analysis revealed that the leaf juice reduced expression of various extracellular matrix proteins. Cell viability assays showed that the various inhibitory effects cannot be attributed to cytotoxicity. Taken together, these results further support investigations on the use of B. pinnatum as a well-tolerated candidate for long-term treatment of preterm labor
Integration of land administration data into BIM/IFC. An open source approach for Swiss cadastral survey data
No full textIn der Bau- und Infrastrukturbranche verzeichnet Building Information Modelling (BIM) ein signifikantes Wachstum. Für den Datenaustausch innerhalb dieses Sektors hat sich Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) als Austauschformat durchgesetzt. Die Geodaten von Bund und Kantonen, insbesondere die Daten der amtlichen Vermessung (AV), sind aktuell jedoch nicht oder nur spärlich im IFC-Format verfügbar. Hauptherausforderungen für die Bereitstellung von Geodaten im IFC-Format sind die zumeist fehlende dritte Dimension sowie fehlende Standards für die Modelltransformation. In diesem Beitrag wird ein Ansatz vorgestellt, der darauf abzielt, den Austausch von Daten der amtlichen Vermessung zu vereinfachen und die Nutzbarkeit von Geodaten für BIM-Projekte deutlich zu verbessern. Als Basis für den Proof of Concept (PoC) wurde ein generisches Lösungskonzept für die Modelltransformation und eine offene Systemarchitektur entwickelt, welche im Prinzip auf beliebige Geodaten anwendbar ist. Für die Geometriekonvertierung wurde ein Ansatz entwickelt, der 2D-Geodaten auf das digitale Terrain projiziert und dadurch die Informationen der dritten Dimension wiederherstellt. Der im Rahmen eines PoC implementierte prototypische Dienst wurde auf den Geobasisdaten Grundstücke und Bodenbedeckung getestet und dessen Praxistauglichkeit deutlich demonstriert. No full textThe influence of parents on the educational transition and vocational orientation of adolescents and young adults is also widely discussed in the Swiss research context. Thereby, depending on the different disciplinary approaches, not only the theoretical way in which this influence is researched varies, but also the methodological framework in which ‘parents’ are constructed as a social category and problematizes as at “at-risk”. While, for example, pedagogical-psychological perspectives still point on the importance of parental support in matching process (keyword: parenting), sociological and economic perspective on education relying on rational-choice premises tend to emphasize the path dependency of parental origins – understood as social and national origins – on educational and vocational choices (keyword: secondary effects of origin). Despite their differences, both research poles share a “hidden” epistemological premise - namely: that they mainly talk about but hardly with parents when it comes to understanding their influence in this complex process. The aim of the article is to reconstruct how this empirical and perspectival blank space ‘parents’ developed in the pre-dominant research about the influence of parenthood in the context of vocational orientation of adolescents in Switzerland. In particular, the question is raised as how the attribution ‘migrant parents do not understand and recognize the value of the Swiss VET System’ emerged and established in educational sciences and policy context although the empirical evidence is controversial. To this end, the article reconstructs and analyses the (research) “genealogy” of this attribution while furthermore considering the reception in educational policy documents from federal and cantonal authorities
