    Festival Sebagai Bentuk Sosialisasi Terhadap Kontinuitas Eksistensi Tari Galombang Duo Baleh di Nagari Sintuak Padang Pariaman

    This article was purposed to reveal the urgency of dance festival and exhibition socialization toward the continuity of Tari Galombang Duo Baleh in community of Nagari Sintuak [village]. Tari Galombang Duo Baleh was a tradition that borne and grew in Nagari Sintuak Padang Pariaman. Tari Galombang Duo Baleh was one of cultural heritage in community of Nagari Sintuak. Lately, Tari Galombang Duo Baleh was coped an existence problem, one of degradation factors was lack of publication or lack of appreciation from community toward Tari Galombang Duo Baleh. In this article, writer offered one of the ways to promote the existence of Tari Galombang Duo Baleh to community of Nagari Sintuak.     Puncak Pato Sebagai Destinasi Wisata Alam Sumatera Barat

    Puncak Pato, West Sumatra, is a tourist destination located on the border of Sungayang and Lintau. Puncak Pato as a tourism destination has natural and cultural  potential. It also has historical meaning in Minangkabau for uniting indigenous peoples and religions known as the "Satie Marapalam Oath Agreement". Pato Peak (Bukit Marapalam) is the place where this  agreement was signed between the adat  and religious communities of Minangkabau. This research is a qualitative study that aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth description of Puncak Pato as a tourist destination. Pato Peak is located in highlands surrounded by hills and pine trees. There is beautiful natural scenery with cool winds drawing many visitors from West Sumatra and  other areas. Existing tourist facilities encourage bicycling , jogging, gymnastics, with meeting places and sites for various cultural arts activities. The facilities also include a large parking area , prayer rooms, and rest rooms. Visitors to Pucak Pato need only buy an adult ticket of IDR 10,000, IDR 5000 for a child. . Puncak Pato (Bukit Marapalam) merupakan tempat terjadinya suatu kesepakatan dan penandatanganan surat perjanjian antara kaum adat dan kaum agama di Minangkabau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang menyeluruh  dan  mendalam  tentang  eksistensi  Puncak  Pato sebagai Destinasi Wisata. Puncak Pato terdapat di dataran tinggi dikelilingi bukit dan pohon pinus. Pemandangan alam yang indah dan tiupan angin yang memberikan kesejukan sehingga banyak pengunjung yang dari Sumatra Barat maupun dari daerah lainnya. Spot wisata yang ada diantaranya sepeda, joging, senam, tempat rapat dan kegiatan berbagai seni budaya. Fasilitas yang dimiliki adalah parkir yang luas, mushola, dan toilet. Untuk berkunjung ke Pucak Pato hanya dengan tiket dewasa Rp 10.000 dan anak Rp 5000.     This research is conducted based on the low appreciation of the public and tourists towards the existence of the Dalam Loka Palace in Sumbawa Regency. Istana Dalam Loka was designed as a leading regional tourist attraction, yet its existence is not outstanding both in terms of management and facilities. It is expected that the research on the design of Sumbawa Batik whose pattern is inspired by Istana Dalam Loka will motivate Sumbawa people and tourists to show more appreciation towards the Istana Dalam Loka better. In addition, it can provide new ideas or alternatives related to the batik industry in Sumbawa Regency. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Methods of collecting data used are observation, literature study, and interview. The research data were analyzed to determine the design of ornamental motifs and designs of Sumbawa Batik.     AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikan Manajemen Seni Pertunjukan di Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati dalam mengelola sanggarnya dengan baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan instrumen pendukung seperti alat tulis, kamera dan perekam suara. Data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara Studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kerja organisasi seni pertunjukan di Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati dikategorikan sebagai organisasi semi profesional. Karena Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati telah melakukan pendekatan manajemen, baik dari segi fungsi maupun prosesnya. Anggota Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati juga memiliki profesi lain selain pekerja seni, mereka tetap tunduk pada aturan yang berlaku dari sudut pandang etika. Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati bergerak dibidang seni dengan sistem demokrasi, dimana segala keputusan yang diambil berdasarkan hasil kesepakatan bersama, dan segala proses manajemen dilakukan dengan sebaik mungkin.  Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati didirikan oleh Adityo Nugraha selaku pimpinan sanggar dan masih mampertahankan nilai-nilai budaya dalam pertunjukannya meskipun ada beberapa karya sudah termasuk seni modern.Kata Kunci: Popularitas; Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati; Manajemen Abstract This study aims to reveal and describe the Management of Performing Arts at the Binuang Sati Art Studio in managing its studio well. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. This research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and voice recorders. The data in this study used primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data reduction, data presentation and inferring data. The results showed that the workings of performing arts organizations in the Binuang Sati Art Studio are categorized as semi-professional organizations. Because Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati has taken a management approach, both in terms of function and process. Members of the Binuang Sati Art Studio also have other professions besides art workers, they are still subject to the rules that apply from an ethical point of view. Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati is engaged in art with a democratic system, where all decisions taken are based on the results of mutual agreement, and all management processes are carried out as well as possible.  Sanggar Seni Binuang Sati was founded by Adityo Nugraha as the head of the studio and still maintains cultural values in its performances even though there are several works including modern art.Keywords: popularity: Binuang Sati art studio; Managemen

    Bentuk, Kontruksi Fungsi dan Makna Mebel Antik Melayu Istana Siak

    Furniture is a means of supporting daily human activities, in the form of tables, chairs and so on. The tradition of using furniture also took place in Malay society in the past, including in the palace environment. This study aims to document and analyze the form, construction, function and meaning of antique Malay furniture found in the Siak Palace. Data obtained through observation and literature study. The results showed that the furniture at the Siak Palace resembled furniture developed in Europe, consisting of cupboards, tables, chairs, beds, chests, decorative glass, partitions, pendant lamps and wall lamps. Each type of furniture is divided into specific forms and functions. Furniture at the Siak Palace are generally made of wood, made as beautiful as possible with carvings, finishing and attractive accessories. The construction uses various types of wood joints, the most widely used is the interlocking joint system. The meaning of furniture in the Siak palace is related to the legitimacy of the king and the royal family, meaning the power, economic capacity, politics and social position of the royal family. Keywords: Furniture; Antique; Malay; Siak Palace  AbstrakMebel merupakan sarana pendukung aktivitas manusia sehari-hari, berupa meja, kursi dan lain sebagainya. Tradisi penggunaan mebel juga berlansung dalam masyarakat Melayu pada masa lampau, termasuk di lingkungan istana.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mendokumentasikan dan menganalisis bentuk, konstruksi, fungsi serta makna mebel antik Melayu yang terdapat di Istana Siak. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mebel di Istana Siak menyerupai mebel-mebel yang berkembang di Eropa, terdiri dari lemari, meja, kursi, tempat tidur, peti, kaca hias, partisi, lampu gantung dan lampu dinding. Masing-masing jenis mebel tersebut tebagi dalam bentuk dan fungsi khusus. Mebel di Istana Siak umumnya terbuat dari bahan kayu, dibuat seindah mungkin dengan ukiran, finishing serta aksesoris yang menarik. Konstruksinya memakai bermacam tipe sambungan kayu, yang banyak digunakan adalah sistem interlocking joint. Makna mebel di istana Siak terkait dengan legitimasi raja dan keluarga istana, bermaknakan kekuasaan, kemampuan ekonomi, politik dan kedudukan sosial dari keluarga istana tersebut. Kata Kunci: Mebel; Antik; Melayu; Istana Siak

    This article eximines randai training as culture facts from enculturation process that creates appreciation of culture.  This article was made based on the results of dedication to the comunity in SDIT Al Azhar Darul Jannah Buksittinggi. Based on randai as a performance art, this article factually describes the individuals reality of studying and adapting their thoughts and attitudes to randai.This article uses an action research method that aims to solve important and meaningful problems at SDIT Al Azhar Darul Jannah Bukittingi. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, randai training is very relevant to be carried out in elementary schools, considering that elementary schools are the foundation of education. In addition to the elements of randai training in this article, it is adjusted to the level of students.AbstrakArtikel ini mengkaji pelatihan randai sebagai fakta budaya dalam proses enkulturasi yang melahirkan sikap apresiasi terhadap budaya. Artikel ini berangkat dari penelitian di SDIT Al Azhar Darul Jannah Bukittinggi. Berpijak pada sebuah randai sebagai seni pertunjukan secara faktual artikel ini akan menggambarkan realitas individu dalam mempelajari dan menyesuaikan alam pikiran serta sikapnya dengan randai. Dengan menggunakan riset aksi, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang penting dan bermakna di SDIT Al Azhar Darul Jannah Bukittingi.     Minang or Minangkabau is an ethnic cultural group that adheres to a distinctive customary system, namely a family system according to female lineage which is called the matrilineal system. In Minangkabau culture, marriage is one of the important events in the life cycle and is a very significant transitional period in forming a small group of new families to continue the lineage. For the Minangkabau people who are Muslim, marriages are carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. There are 2 (two) types of marriages for the Minangkabau indigenous people, namely: 1) Ideal marriage, namely marriage between close families such as children from nephews; 2) Abstinence marriage, namely marriage that cannot be carried out like the child of a mother or father. There are 2 (two) marriage procedures for the Minangkabau indigenous people, namely: 1) Marriage according to female relatives, namely the woman who is the initiator in marriage and in household life, from starting to find a mate to carrying out the marriage; 2) Marriage according to male relatives, namely the man who is the initiator in marriage and households, from starting to find a mate to carrying out the marriage and daily living expenses.     Gerhana merupakan proses tertutupnya bulan atau matahari oleh benda langit yang melintas di depannya. Perubahan warna bulan dan matahari saat terjadinya gerhana ini merupakan ilusi warna. Ilusi warna tidak berbicara tentang kebenaran, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti intensitas cahaya, intensitas warna, dan warna benda di sekitarnya. Dari hal tersebut, pencipta terinspirasi menciptakan karya busana dengan konsep ilusi warna yang terinspirasi dari gerhana dengan judul Kapangan. Penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan karya seni yang memadukan pengetahuan ilmiah dan fashion yang bergaya edgy dramatic dan street dramatic. Penciptaan ini menggunakan metode Hawkins, yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan pembentukan. Pada tahap eksplorasi proses penciptaan dimulai dengan membuat mindmap, menentukan kata kunci, dan membuat moodboard. Tahap improvisasi dibagi menjadi dua yaitu improvisasi medium dan improvisasi visual. Improvisasi media merupakan tahap menentukan alat, material, dan teknik. Sedangkan improvisasi visual merupakan tahap eksperimen dan mengembangkan konsep menjadi desain dan gambar kerja. Tahap pembentukan, proses terumit dalam menciptakan karya, pencipta melakukan pewujudan karya yang dilanjutkan dengan konsep hasil karya berupa photoshoot, publikasi, dan fashion show. Kapangan terdiri atas koleksi busana Candra Kapangan sebagai pemvisualisasian gerhana bulan dan Surya Kapangan sebagai pemvisualisasian gerhana matahari. Koleksi Candra Kapangan terdiri atas tiga look busana, yaitu Gerhana Bulan Total, Gerhana Bulan Sebagian, dan Gerhana Bulan Penumbra. Koleksi Surya Kapangan terdiri atas empat look busana, yaitu Gerhana Matahari Total, Gerhana Matahari Sebagian, Gerhana Matahari Cincin, dan Gerhana Matahari Hibrida. Penciptaan ini merupakan penggabungan antara pengetahuan ilmiah dan fashion dengan mengadopsi teori warna Bezolt Effect dan Chubb Illusion. Candra Kapangan terdiri dari warna hitam, abu tua, abu muda, dan abu kebiruan. Sedangkan Surya Kapangan terdiri atas warna kuning, biru, dan hitam.Ilusi warna direpresentasikan dengan menggunakan bentuk lingkaran yang menghasilkan perubahan warna berdasarkan intensitasnya. Kata Kunci: Gerhana; Bezolt Effect; Chubb Illusion; Fashion KontemporerABSTRACTAn eclipse is the process by which the moon or sun is covered by a celestial body that passes in front of it. The change in the color of the moon and sun at the time of this disaster is an illusion of color. Color illusion does not speak the truth, it is influenced by several factors such as light intensity, color intensity, and the color of the objects around it. From this, the creators were inspired to create fashion works with the concept of color illusion inspired by the title Kapangan. This creation aims to create works of art that combine scientific knowledge and fashion in an edgy dramatic and street dramatic style. This creation uses the Hawkins method, namely exploration, improvisation, and shaping. In the exploration stage, the creation process starts with creating a mindmap, determining keywords, and creating a moodboard. The stages of improvisation are divided into two, namely media improvisation and visual improvisation. Improvised media is the determining stage of tools, materials, and techniques. Meanwhile, visual improvisation is the experimental stage and develops concepts into designs and working drawings. The formation stage, the most complicated process in creating a work, the creator carries out the embodiment of the work followed by the conceptualization of the work in the form of photoshoots, publications and fashion shows. Kapangan consists of the Candra Kapangan fashion collection as a visualization of the cold weather of the moon and Surya Kapangan as a visualization of the sun's weather. The Candra Kapangan collection consists of three fashion looks, namely a total lunar eclipse, a partial lunar eclipse, and a penumbral lunar eclipse. The Surya Kapangan collection consists of four fashion looks, namely Total Solar Eclipse, Partial Solar Eclipse, Ring Solar Eclipse, and Hybrid Solar Eclipse. This creation is a combination of scientific knowledge and the art of Fashion by adopting the Bezolt Effect and Chubb Illusion color theories. Candra Kapangan consists of black, dark gray, light gray, and bluish gray. While Surya Kapangan consists of yellow, blue and black.     Kesenian Sikambang dalam Kajian Resepsi Budaya Masyarakat Pesisir Kota Sibolga

    Sikambang Art Research in the Study of Cultural Reception of the Coastal Communities of Sibolga City with the aim of knowing the opinions of the Sibolga coastal communities about their own Sikambang Art culture, what causes Sikambang art on the coast of Sibolga City to be underdeveloped, and the function of Sikambang Arts in Sibolga coastal communities. However, this Sikambang art is still found on the coast of Sibolga City. This research is expected to increase the interest of young people in Sibolga City, because there are also few other writings that talk about the art of Sikambang. Indeed, there are some writings, but they do not really lead to public opinion. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which includes several aspects, namely observation, interviews, documentation, data analysis, with data reduction, data presentation, data verification and literature study.
