Ustava Republike Slovenije / Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia. Dvojezična izdaja / Bilingual edition
This edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia is accompanied by photographs taken on 19 June 2020, when during a wave of protests in defence of democracy, a group of citizens decided to make a symbolic gesture – to read the Slovenian Constitution in front of the National Assembly building. The response of the authorities confirmed that the democratic rights guaranteed by the Constitution are indeed threatened.Ta izdaja Ustave Republike Slovenije je opremljena s fotografijami, posnetimi 19. junija 2020, ko se je med valom protestov v obrambo demokracije skupina prebivalcev odločila za simbolno gesto upora – branje slovenske ustave pred stavbo državnega zbora. Iacobus Gallus: Opus musicum I/3. A dominica septuagesimae per quadragesimam de poenitentia
From the very beginning, one of the most important and ambitious goals of the MAMS collection has been publication of the collected works of Iacobus Handl-Gallus in a modern transcription tailored to the needs of contemporary performers. The publication of his famous collection of motets, Opus musicum, consisting of four books containing a total of 374 motets, partially achieved this goal in 1990. The transcriptions and critical commentaries were prepared by Edo Škulj, and Gallus’s motets were published in thirteen volumes between 1985 and 1990. The edition is enriched by numerous facsimiles from Gallus’s original prints, published between 1586 and 1590 by the Prague printer Georg Nigrin (Jiří Černý).
Gallus divided the first book of his Opus musicum (1586) into three sections, which have been retained in the MAMS edition. The third volume (I/3) consists of 4-, 5-, 6- and 8-part motets for the pre-Lenten (Septuagesima) and Lenten (Quadragesima) seasons of the church year.
The 2024 digitized post-edition is accompanied by a new preface and an introductory study by Dr Marc Desmet that summarizes and compiles all recent findings about the composer and his work.Med glavne in najambicioznejše cilje zbirke MAMS je že od vsega začetka sodila izdaja zbranih del Iacobusa Handla - Gallusa v sodobni transkripciji, prilagojeni zahtevam sodobnega izvajalca. Ta cilj je začela uresničevati izdaja slovite zbirke Gallusovih motetov Opus musicum, ki jo sestavljajo štiri knjige s 374 moteti. Transkripcije in revizijska poročila je pripravil Edo Škulj in Gallusovi moteti so v letih med 1985 in 1990 izšli v trinajstih zvezkih. Izdajo bogatijo številni faksimili iz Gallusovih originalnih tiskov, ki jih je v letih med 1586 in 1590 natisnil praški tiskar Georg Nigrin (Jiří Černý).
Gallus je prvo knjigo svojega Opus musicum (1586) uredil v treh razdelkih, ki jim sledi tudi izdaja MAMS. Tretji zvezek (I/3) vsebuje 4-, 5-, 6- in 8-glasne motete, namenjene za predpostni (septuagesima) in postni (quadragesima) čas cerkvenega leta.

Between Ravenna and Constantinople. Rethinking Late Antique Settlement Patterns
The book presents the settlement in a period of European history (late 3rd to early 7th century) when the highly exposed areas between the Late Antique capitals in Ravenna and Constantinople underwent a radical transformation. The relentless pressure of barbarian populations from beyond the Roman limes resulted in political, military, economic and social changes that finally led to the decline of the former forms of human habitation. Cities in the continental parts were largely abandoned or continued in heavily reduced and ruralised skeletons of their former selves; only the urban centres along the coasts of the Mediterranean met a kinder fate. Other forms of lowland settlement, primarily the once prominent Roman villas, ceased to exist as early as the middle of the 5th century. The population began retreating to remote areas and naturally well-protected hilltop settlements of an autarchic character, where the achievements of the ancient civilisation were upheld to the late 6th century. Alongside these, there was a series of forts constructed under the Emperor Justinian, which show a carefully thought-out system defending the lines of communications between the two capitals. The book offers a comprehensive overview of the mass of characteristic cities, lowland hamlets and fortified settlements illustrated with plans, maps and photographs, but also an interpretation of the profound transformation of the settlement patterns.Knjiga predstavlja naselbinsko podobo prelomnega časa (konec 3. do začetka 7. st.) v zgodovini Evrope na izpostavljenem geografskem območju med prestolnicama poznoantičnega sveta Raveno in Konstantinoplom. Politične, vojaške, gospodarske in socialne razmere so ob močnem pritisku barbarov izza limesa povzročile propad nekdanjih naselbinskih oblik: mesta so bila v celinskem delu največkrat opuščena ali pa so obstajala le še v močno skrčenih in ruraliziranih skeletih nekdanjih mest. Bolje so se ohranila le urbana središča v mediteranskem pasu. Tudi nižinske naselbine, predvsem nekdaj močne rimske vile, so prenehale obstajati že do sredine 5. st. Prebivalstvo se je zato začelo postopno umikati v odročne kraje in na naravno zavarovane hribovske naselbine avtarkičnega značaja, kjer pa so še vedno ohranjali antične civilizacijske pridobitve vse do konca 6. st. Predstavljene so tudi utrdbe iz Justinijanovega časa, ki dokazujejo domišljen sistem varovanja komunikacij med obema prestolnicama. Delo podaja temeljni pregled množice značilnih mest, nižinskih zaselkov in utrjenih naselbin z načrti, zemljevidi in fotografijami, kot tudi interpretacijo celovite preobrazbe naselbinske slike
Slovenski literati in cesarska cenzura v dolgem 19. stoletju
The book ('Slovenian Writers and Imperial Censorship in the Long Nineteenth Century') summarizes the results of three years of research in which members of the project group from three institutions (ZRC SAZU, UL and UNG) collaborated with invited specialists on individual censorship topics. From the perspective of censorship, the “long nineteenth century” was extremely dynamic. During this period, which is symmetrically divided into two parts by the revolutionary year of 1848, Slovenian secular literature emerged, the first newspapers appeared, and the national movement strengthened. All these processes were significantly influenced by imperial censorship: until 1848 in the form of pre-censorship, which was concretized in the censorship network of the notorious duo Metternich-Sedlnitzky, and after the March Revolution mainly in the form of post-censorship, which curbed problematic authors with the help of the judicial apparatus. The monograph consists of twenty-one richly illustrated chapters: The introduction is followed by two chronologically arranged central sections (“1789–1848: Censorship from the French Revolution to the March Revolution” and “1848–1918: Censorship from the March Revolution to World War I”), each consisting of ten chapters.Monografija prinaša rezultate triletne raziskave, v kateri so člani projektne skupine iz treh ustanov (ZRC SAZU, UL in UNG) združili moči z vabljenimi specialisti za posamezne cenzurne teme. Obravnava t. i. dolgo 19. stoletje – čas med francosko revolucijo in prvo svetovno vojno, ki je bil z vidika cenzure izredno dinamičen. V tem obdobju, ki ga simetrično razpolavlja revolucionarno leta 1848, se je oblikovala slovenska posvetna književnost, rojevali so se prvi časopisi v slovenščini, vzpostavljalo in krepilo se je narodno gibanje. Vse te procese je pomembno sooblikovala cesarska cenzura: do leta 1848 v obliki prevladujoče predcenzure, konkretizirane v policijsko-cenzorskem omrežju razvpitega dvojca Metternich–Sedlnitzky, po marčni revoluciji, ki je za hip razprla vrata svobode izražanja, pa zlasti v obliki pocenzure, ki je problematične avtorje krotila s pomočjo sodnega aparata. Poetika slovenske slovstvene folklore. Besedna umetnost v koreninah
The monograph is a pioneer work in Slovenia on the three types of poetics of folk creation, i.e. sound, image and composition. The work shows how Slovenian (folk) man responds to reality on a linguistic-aesthetic level, how he names, narrates and at the same time helps to shape it. The first chapter is devoted to sound poetics, e.g., the translation and folk meaning of birdcalls and bells; in the chapter on visual poetics, the author discusses the perception and representation of space, fairy-tale creatures, colours, numbers; in the last chapter on composition, she emphasises the importance of the category of time and the logic of the formation of beginnings and endings in narrative, especially in Kračman's fairy tales and the individual poetics of Gašper Križnik. Using a very diverse and rich material, the author illustrates the extraordinary metaphorical abilities of the Slovenian people and proves that even grammatical folklore has its own aesthetic laws, or as she says in her conclusion, "... in grammatical folklore - if it is the art of spoken language! - there is always an aesthetic function as well."Monografija je na Slovenskem pionirsko delo o treh vrstah poetik ljudske ustvarjalnosti, tj. zvočni, vizualni in kompozicijski. Delo priča o tem, kako se slovenski (ljudski) človek na jezikovno estetski ravni odziva na resničnost, kako jo poimenuje, upoveduje in hkrati soustvarja. Prvo poglavje je namenjeno zvočni poetiki, npr. prevajanju in ljudskem osmišljanju oglašanj ptičev (ptičjic) in zvonov (zvončic); v poglavju o vizualni poetiki avtorica obravnava dojemanje in upovedovanje prostora, bajčnih bitij, barv, števil; v zadnjem poglavju o kompoziciji poudari pomen kategorije časa ter logiko oblikovanja začetkov in koncev pri pripovedovanju, posebej na primeru Kračmanovih pravljic in individualne poetike Gašperja Križnika. Z nadvse raznovrstnim in bogatim gradivom avtorica ilustrira izjemne metaforične kompetence slovenskega človeka in dokazuje, kako so tudi slovstveni folklori lastne estetske zakonitosti ali kot pravi v sklepu: “... v slovstveni folklori – če je umetnost govorjenega jezika! – je vedno navzoča tudi estetska funkcija.
Fra Josip Markušić, Josip (Jože) Plečnik. Korespodencija 1932.-1956.
The correspondence between the architect Jože Plečnik (1872–1957) and Bosnian Franciscan friar fra Josip Markušič (1880–1968) is of utmost importance for the research of Plečnik’s oeuvre. Plečnik met Markušić, who was one of the most notable members of Franciscan order in the province Bosnia Srebrena, for the first time during the construction of St. Anthony of Padua church in Belgrade. Their correspondence contains 800 units (letters, postcards) and covers a wide time span between 1932 and 1956.
The critical source edition, written by the historian Jozo Džambo, PhD, and art historian Damjan Prelovšek, PhD, undoubtedly represents an important source of understanding Plečnik’s ecclesiastical oeuvre, furthermore it brings various information on religious life in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as other parts of former Yugoslavia. The publication of correspondence between Plečnik and Markušić is of a great importance for every researcher of art, ecclesiastical, social and political history on the territory of former Yugoslavia.
Co-published with Franjevački samostan sv. Luke (Jajce), Synopsis (Zagreb/Sarajevo), Franjevački samostan sv. Ante (Beograd).Izjemnega pomena za raziskovanje arhitekta Jožeta Plečnika (1872–1957) je njegovo dopisovanje z bosenskim frančiškanom, fra Josipom Markušićem (1880–1968), eno osrednjih osebnosti frančiškanskega reda v provinci Bosna Srebrena, s katerim se je arhitekt spoznal ob gradnji cerkve sv. Antona Padovanskega v Beogradu. Obsežno korespondenco, ki obsega 800 enot (pisem, dopisnic ipd.) in zavzema široko časovno razdobje od leta 1932 do 1956, sta za natis pripravila zgodovinar dr. Jozo Džambo in umetnostni zgodovinar dr. Damjan Prelovšek.
Delo brez dvoma predstavlja izjemen vir za razumevanje Plečnikovega sakralnega opusa, prinaša pa tudi precej podatkov o verskem življenju v Sloveniji, Bosni in Hercegovini ter drugih delih nekdanje Jugoslavije. Izdaja korespondence med Plečnikom in Markušićem predstavlja dobrodošel vir za raziskovalce umetnostne, cerkvene, družbene in politične zgodovine po vsej nekdanji Jugoslaviji.

A Memory Without Evidence. A collaborative newspaper publication
A Memory Without Evidence is a collaborative publication featuring histories and narratives of people on the move and refugees who have traversed the Balkan refugee route and managed to reach the European Union. Created through a series of workshops and dialogues with displaced communities, the collaborative publication presents the stories of those who have traded their imprisonment behind the razor wire, land mines, and systemic violence that was enforced upon them on the Balkan refugee route for being held captive by the EU asylum system. For many involved in the creation of the publication, the struggle for their existence, recognition, and freedom does not end once they reach their desired safe haven but remains a distant prospect. The writings are divided into three segments (In Prisons and Camps; Born in a Line of Displaced; 4517 Kilometres Later), each offering a critical, poetic, and in-depth reflection on different questions related to displacement and exile. The collaborative project was initiated by the photographer and artist Jošt Franko, who has coedited the publication with Zied Abdellaoui.
Co-published with Moderna galerija.A Memory without Evidence ('Spomin brez dokazov') je skupnostna publikacija, v kateri so predstavljene pripovedi beguncev in ljudi na poti, ki so prečkali balkansko begunsko pot in jim je uspelo priti v Evropsko unijo. Publikacija, ki je nastala na podlagi skupnosntih delavnic in dialogov z razseljenimi skupnostmi, predstavlja zgodbe tistih, ki so ujetost za rezilno žico, minami in sistemskim nasiljem na balkanski begunski poti, zamenjali za ujetništvo v azilnem sistemu EU. Za mnoge, ki so sodelovali pri nastajanju publikacije, se boj za njihov obstoj, priznanje in svobodo ne konča, ko dosežejo varno zatočišče, temveč ostaja nedosežen cilj. Prispevki so razdeljeni na tri segmente: V zaporih in taboriščih; Rojeni v begunstvo in 4517 kilometrov pozneje. Vsak od njih ponuja kritičen, poetičen in poglobljen razmislek o različnih vprašanjih, povezanih zbegunstvom. Pobudnik skupnega projekta je bil fotograf in umetnik Jošt Franko, ki je publikacijo uredil skupaj s Ziedom Abdellaouijem.

Hydrodynamic modelling of tidal range energy. Severn Estuary barrage and Swansea Bay lagoon
This book presents a method for hydrodynamic modelling of tidal power plants. In the face of climate change, tidal power plants will play an important role in the transition to renewable energy and in the decarbonisation of society. Tidal energy is not dependent on weather conditions and is fully predictable, allowing accurate forecasts for several years into the future. Its main drawback is that it is limited to areas with high tidal ranges, such as the Atlantic coasts of the UK, France and Canada, as well as other seacoasts around the world. The role of hydrodynamic models in the design of hydropower plants is primarily to understand the impact on the environment and to optimise the operation of the plant itself.
The book is divided thematically into three sections. The first section provides a comprehensive overview of the background to tidal power and reviews the available literature. The second section contains a detailed description of the theoretical background and the numerical modelling methodology using the open source software Delft3D. The last section consists of two case studies on which the methodology was tested. They deal with the hydrodynamic impacts of two planned tidal power plants in the UK, namely a barrage in the Severn Estuary and an artificial lagoon in Swansea Bay.V monografiji je opisan postopek za hidrodinamično modeliranje plimskih elektrarn. V luči podnebnih sprememb bodo imele plimske elektrarne pomembno vlogo pri prehodu na obnovljive vire energije in razogljičenje družbe. Plimovanje namreč ni odvisno od vremenskih razmer in je popolnoma predvidljivo, z možnostjo natančnih napovedi več let v prihodnost. Glavna pomanjkljivost plimskih elektrarn je njihova omejenost na območja z intenzivnim plimovanjem, kot so atlantske obale Združenega Kraljestva, Francije in Kanade ter druge oceanske obale po svetu. Vloga hidrodinamičnih modelov pri načrtovanju hidroelektrarn je predvsem v razumevanje okolijskih vplivov in optimizaciji delovanja same elektrarne

Šolski etimološki slovar slovenskega jezika 2022 ('Learner's Etymological Dictionary of Slovene 2022') is based on the need to provide younger users, who as yet lack sufficient linguistic and historical background to gain insight into the history and prehistory of the words they use on a daily basis. With this in mind, the etymological explanations are provided in a simplified manner without compromising scholarly veracity.
The entry term is followed by an indication of whether the word is inherited or borrowed. If the word is inherited and arose within the Slovene language, the explanation continues with its word-formation history, followed by its etymological meaning. If a word arose during the Proto-Slavic periods, the explanation provides related words from a selection of Slavic languages and a Proto-Slavic reconstruction, followed by an etymological explanation. If a word is older, the Proto-Slavic reconstruction is followed by material from other Indo-European languages, the presentation of its original form or at least the root and related words, followed by an etymological explanation and, if possible, the original meaning. If a word is borrowed, its foreign source is presented, followed by its etymological explanation.Šolski etimološki slovar slovenskega jezika 2022 je zasnovan na potrebi, da tudi mladostniki s še ne zadostnim jezikoslovnim in zgodovinskim znanjem dobijo vpogled v zgodovino in predzgodovino besed, ki jih vsakodnevno uporabljajo. Zato je slovarski geslovnik vezan na geslovnik Šolskega slovarja slovenskega jezika, etimološke razlage pa podane na način, ki kljub poenostavitvam ustrezajo znanstveni resnici. Slovar sestoji iz 502 enot.
Naslovni besedi najprej sledi ugotovitev o domačem ali tujem izvoru. Če je beseda domačega izvora in je nastala ali je motivirana znotraj slovenskega jezika, je v nadaljevanju povedano, iz katere besede je tvorjena. Če je nastala v splošnoslovanskih, praslovanskih ali še starejših, morda praindoevropskih časih, so v nadaljevanju navedene sorodne besede iz izbranih sorodnih jezikov in podana praslovanska, po potrebi še starejša rekonstrukcija, tej pa sledi etimološka razlaga. Če je beseda tujega izvora, je najprej navedena tujejezična predloga, tej pa sledi njena etimološka razlaga. Pri besedah domačega izvora je naveden časovni okvir nastanka, pri besedah tujega izvora pa časovni okvir prevzema.
Šolski slovar slovenskega jezika 2022
Šolski slovar slovenskega jezika 2022 ('School Dictionary of the Slovenian Language 2022') with a concept based on established lexicographical principles contains a linguistic description of the lexical units of the Slovenian standard language, intended for pupils aged 6 to 10 years. It includes 502 dictionary entries and provides a lexicographically based display of information adapted to the abilities and knowledge of the youngest users. Only lexical units of the standard language are examined, and the dictionary also includes multi-word lexemes, both non-phraseological and phraseological. The main source of material is the Korpus šolskih besedil slovenskega jezika (Corpus of School Texts of the Slovene Language), which encompasses texts from textbooks, children’s literature by select authors and school essay materials. The lexis examined in the dictionary is thus taken from texts that are the main source of new standard vocabulary for children at this age; in particular, it covers the standard language of literature and the basic terminology of the scientific fields and disciplines discussed in class, which are represented as equally as possible. As the dictionary also serves as a teaching accessory, basic lexis has been included using criteria of problem selection as well (based on issues pupils might have relating to orthography, pronunciation, inflectional patterns).Šolski slovar slovenskega jezika 2022 s konceptom, utemeljenim na uveljavljenih leksikografskih načelih, prinaša jezikovni opis leksikalnih enot slovenskega knjižnega jezika, namenjen učencem, starim od 6 do 10 let. Glavni vir gradiva je Korpus šolskih besedil slovenskega jezika, ki zajema učbeniška besedila, otroško literaturo izbranih avtorjev in gradivo šolskih spisov. Obravnavana leksika je tako zajeta iz besedil, ki so za otroke te starosti glavni vir novega knjižnega besedišča, ter obsega zlasti knjižni jezik leposlovja in osnovno terminologijo pri pouku obravnavanih znanstvenih in strokovnih področij, pri čemer so le-ta kar se da enakovredno zastopana. Ker Šolski slovar slovenskega jezika služi tudi kot učni pripomoček, je temeljna leksika vključena zlasti po kriterijih problemskega izbiranja (glede na pravopis, pravorečje in oblike)
