Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika 2023
Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika 2023 ('Dictionary of the Slovenian Standard Language 2023') contains a modern linguistic description of the multifaceted and complex linguistic reality of the Slovenian language based on language use as reflected in diverse language resources, primarily corpora. A total of 545 dictionary entries introduced by single-word headwords offers a wholesome and systematic description of semantic, grammatical, pragmatic and other characteristics of single-word and multi-word phraseological and non-phraseological lexical units. The concept of the dictionary is described in detail in Koncept novega razlagalnega slovarja slovenskega knjižnega jezika (Concept of the New Explanatory Dictionairy of the Slovenian Standard Language), ratified in 2015 by the Scientific Council of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language ZRC SAZU, the Scientific Council of ZRC SAZU, the Section of Philological and Literary Sciences of SAZU and the Presidency of SAZU.Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika 2023 prinaša sodoben jezikovni opis izseka večplastne in kompleksne jezikovne realnosti slovenskega jezika glede na jezikovno rabo, izkazano v raznovrstnih sodobnih, predvsem korpusnih, gradivskih virih. V okviru 545 slovarskih sestavkov, ki jih na makrostrukturni ravni uvaja enobesedna iztočnica, so celovito in sistematično opisane pomenske, slovnične, pragmatične in druge lastnosti eno- in večbesednih nefrazeoloških in frazeoloških leksikalnih enot. Slovarska zasnova je natančneje prikazana v Konceptu novega razlagalnega slovarja slovenskega knjižnega jezika, ki so ga leta 2015 potrdili in sprejeli Znanstveni svet Inštituta za slovenski jezik Frana Ramovša ZRC SAZU, Znanstveni svet ZRC SAZU, Razred za filološke in literarne vede SAZU in Predsedstvo SAZU
Slovar neglagolske vezljivosti v slovenščini 2023
Slovar neglagolske vezljivosti v slovenščini 2023 ('Dictionary of non-verbal valency in Slovenian 2023') contains 500 entries, encompassing a representative display of non-verbal valency with them. Non-verbal valency or valence highlights properties and relationships that can be expressed, especially with adjectives and nouns. The particularity of these proportional adjectives and nouns lies in their proportional meanings, allowing them to establish further external binding relationships with other words that appear as their bindable participants. Adjectives thus open up their binding capabilities, such as good for, lazy for, crazy about (someone or something). With nouns, binding fields are triggered, like money for (something), road to (something/somewhere), price for (something), father (to whom), friend (to whom), etc. The presentation of valency is complemented by the section on Established Phrases, which adds compatibility of words in the most commonly used phrase expressions. We can argue that valency, as one of the fundamental conditions for word-syntax, is simultaneously a good indicator of the state and changes in Slovenian syntax, and thus also an indicator of the current abilities of syntax in Slovenian in general.Slovar neglagolske vezljivosti v slovenščini 2023 obsega 500 iztočnic in z njimi vzorčno prikazuje neglagolsko vezljivost.
The first yearly addition to the explanatory historical Dictionary of the 16th-Century Slovenian Literary Language (eSSKJ16, 2023) presents 200 words, beginning with E and F attested in the Slovenian literary language in the period of its establishment, i.e. during the Reformation. The dictionary entries include Slovenian material from all printed works of Protestant writers from 1550 to 1603, but not from contemporary manuscripts by other authors. The entries were only partly selected in alphabetical order, as semantically or formally related headwords within E in F were given priority. The comprehensive dictionary presentation of words at various levels includes information on parts of speech, frequency, inflection and accent reconstruction etc., as well as hierarchically structured semantic descriptions supplemented by modern equivalents (intralingual translation); phrases and multi-word terms are highlighted. The dictionary data are illustrated with examples from original texts. The structure of the dictionary entries and other information (cross-referencing of sources, list of references used) is presented in the introduction. Slovarski podatki so ilustrirani s ponazarjalnimi zgledi. Struktura slovarskih sestavkov in drugi podatki (razvezava virov, seznam uporabljene literature) so predstavljeni v uvodnem besedilu
Kritične izdaje stare glasbe med preteklostjo in prihodnostjo. Ob štiridesetletnici zbirke Monumenta artis musicae Sloveniae
The series of critical editions of early music from the Slovenian national heritage Monumenta artis musicae Sloveniae celebrated in 2023 forty years of its existence. The first volume came out in 1983 and currently 63 volumes have been published in the main series and four in the Supplementa sub-series. A number of eminent Slovenian and also other musicologists and musicians have contributed to this important mission of the Institute of Musicology. This publication is a brief history of the 40 years of the series, told by its authors and editors. Special attention is paid to the Opera Omnia by the most important Slovenian Renaissance composer Jacobus Handl - Gallus, but also to two musicians who actively contributed to musical life in the territory of present-day Slovenia: Gabriello Puliti and Giacomo Gorzanis. Their music has survived in various written formats, from white mensural notation in separate partbooks to organ and lute inatabulations all ‘translated’ in the Monumenta series into scores readable to modern musicians. The final section is devoted to the challenges of the editions of early music in the digital future. To sta Gabriello Puliti in Giacomo Gorzanis. Glasba teh avtorjev so preživela v različnih glasbenih zapisih, od tiskov posameznih glasovnih zvezkov v beli menzuralni notaciji do orgelskih in lutenjskih tabulatur, ki so v zbirki Monumenta vse prevedene v današnjim glasbenikom berljive zapise. Zadnji del publikacije je posvečen izzivom izdajanja stare glasbe v digitalni prihodnosti
Until I Become Home. A collaborative newspaper publication
Until I Become Home is a collaborative newspaper publication that focuses on the Balkan refugee route as well as communities and individuals that try to traverse it. The publication looks at the numerous journeys that people on the move make before they reach their desired safe haven in Europe. While attempting to reach Europe, people fleeing war, conflict, poverty, or persecution are often pushed to the fringes, forced to live precariously in refugee camps, abandoned buildings, or improvised shelters in the forest. The thick forests along the Balkan refugee route not only offer invisibility to people on the move, but they also utterly mask the institutionalized violence committed by the European Union member states, which use brutal means and tactics, to deter migration while increasingly criminalizing solidarity shown by the local population. On the other hand, the collaborative newspaper publication also aims to negotiate the invisibility of those who seek shelter in Europe by offering statements, poetry, oral histories, essays as well as a visual archive and collected images from the route.

Co-published with Kunsthaus Graz.

Iacobus Gallus: Opus musicum II/3. De resurrectione et ascensione Domini nostri Iesu Christi
From the very beginning, one of the most important and ambitious goals of the MAMS collection has been publication of the collected works of Iacobus Handl-Gallus in a modern transcription tailored to the needs of contemporary performers. The publication of his famous collection of motets, Opus musicum, consisting of four books containing a total of 374 motets, partially achieved this goal in 1990. The transcriptions and critical commentaries were prepared by Edo Škulj, and Gallus’s motets were published in thirteen volumes between 1985 and 1990. The edition is enriched by numerous facsimiles from Gallus’s original prints, published between 1586 and 1590 by the Prague printer Georg Nigrin (Jiří Černý).
Gallus divided the second book of his Opus musicum (1587) into four sections, which have been retained in the MAMS edition. The third volume (II/3) consists of 4- to 16-part motets for church festivals lying between the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ.
The 2024 digitized post-edition is accompanied by a new preface and an introductory study by Dr Marc Desmet that summarizes and compiles all recent findings about the composer and his work.
