ISBN 978-80-228-3441-4.

In: Acta Educationis Generalis. Dubnica nad Váhom : Vysoká škola DTI, 2024. ISSN 2585-741X. Roč. 14, č. 1 (2024), s. 94-108.Introduction: The grading process in secondary education is always challenging to navigate since the subjective dimension of the human parameter always seems to interfere dynamically in combination with the variety of the submitted assessment questions grounded on the grading teacher’s style. The central questions asked are: a) what are the applied assessment styles among Greek Religious Education (RE) teachers? b) What are their main assessment criteria? Moreover, c) What kind of evaluation plans are used to benefit the students? The above assessment issue is affected by the culture and mentality of each teacher. Methods: The method uses a quantitative survey designed by Google Forms to research the grading and topic patterns used by RE teachers and colleagues of humanities during their class assessments, both oral and written. Results: RE teachers have particular inclinations concerning the students’ assessment issues. They consider their discipline demanding and often prefer to apply written form assessments in class. Moreover, more methods emerged, which belong to the new school perception but are still placed statistically as auxiliary assessment weaponry. Microsoft Excel was also used for data visualization and quantitative analysis. Discussion: The assessment point of view might differ in each subject’s nature and, indeed, be planned by the objectives of each teacher. However, RE teachers and affiliated colleagues (literature teachers – affiliated colleagues should prioritise adjusting knowledge to the social realm. Limitations: The present research paper aims to stimulate educational interest regarding RE evaluation subjectivity by converting some subjective elements into precise statistical questions. Therefore, the questions used were a few but accurate, while the magnitude of the participants needed to be bigger, hindering the accumulation of more statistical information. Conclusions: Written-test assessments are prioritized, though oral inquiries are vital to the RE teachers’ methodology because of time scheduling issues explained throughout the text. The whole assessment scenery is grounded on the fact that RE discipline is considered demanding and essential. Some statistical inconsistencies undergird the necessity of applying knowledge in the social praxis to benefit Greek society. The latter lack is a drawback

Pp. 411-418.This study investigates the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the context of higher education, focusing on the divergent patterns of AI adoption among students and teachers at Matej Bel University. Employing a questionnaire as the primary research method, the objectives were twofold: to ascertain the extent of AI usage among the university's students and teachers and to examine the scope of AI references within academic materials. The findings reveal significant differences in AI utilization between students and teachers. This empirical study contributes to the burgeoning discourse on AI ethics in higher education, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive understanding of AI's role in shaping teaching methodologies and learning experiences. Empirical research was carried out on a sample of teachers at Matej Bel University and on a sample of students at the Faculty of Economics. The representativeness of the sample was verified by the chi-square test. The research confirmed greater use of AI by students, but on the contrary, a more ethical approach by teachers.KEGA 023STU-4/2023 Vyučovanie finančnej gramotnosti pomocou informačných technológií ako prostriedok na zvyšovanie kvality života a na elimináciu dopadov ekonomickej kríz

An exclusively urban phenomenon? Radical agrarianism in political practice of interwar fascism: a case study of Slovakia

In: Historica : revue pro historii a příbuzné vědy. Ostrava : Ostravská univerzita v Ostravě, 2024. ISSN 1803-7550. Roč. 15, č. 2 (2024), s. 149-161.Fascism is frequently considered to be a political movement associated with cities. The article attempts to contest this idea through a case study, which illustrates the agrarian-focused drive of fascism by profiling two fascist organisations in interwar Slovakia. It stresses agrarianism as a core factor of their political practice. The case study is based on an analysis of Rodobrana (1923–1929), a paramilitary organisation of Hlinka’s Slovak People’s Party, which became a significant pioneering fascist movement in Slovakia, and the National Fascist Community (1926–1938), the most notable political party representing nationwide Czechoslovak fascism. Even though both streams were written down in history as relatively unsuccessful cliques of cads, their palingenetic discourse, based on radicalised agrarian thought, helped create an atmosphere that resulted in the acceptance of the latter measures adopted by Hlinka’s Slovak People’s Party’s regime (confiscation of properties belonging to the “political parvenus”, Aryanisation of Jewish assets, agrarian reforms, and the programme of Slovak national socialism).APVV-19-0358 Dejiny Hlinkovej slovenskej ľudovej strany v domácich a európskych dimenziách (1905 - 1945) KEGA 003UMB-4/2022 Kultúrne konflikty ako faktor polarizovania a radikalizovania modernej slovenskej spoločnosti: Kompendium učebných materiálov pre univerzitné programy historických vied, politických vied, sociológie a sociálnej antropológi

In: Studia Scientifica Facultatis Paedagogicae : Universitas Catholica Ružomberok. Ružomberok : Verbum vydavateľstvo KU, 2024. ISSN 1336-2232. Roč. 23., č. 3 (2024), s. 33-44.On the one hand, children and youth are among the most numerous and active users of social media, on the other hand, they are also the most risky group due to the fact that they cannot always critically select the information that the media offers them. The Internet environment creates opportunities for the emergence of risky behavior such as cyberbullying, sexting, addictive behavior in relation to the Internet, compulsive playing of online games, intolerant and racist expressions in the Internet environment, cybersex and other forms of inappropriate behavior that can determine the insufficient development of a child. In Slovakia, as well as abroad, there is a trend of an increase in the risky behavior of pupils, which the authors of the study will point out in its introduction in the theoretical-empirical reflection. More and more experts point to the need to pay more attention to the prevention and solution of risky online behavior. In the article, we will present a model of prevention and solutions in the school environment with regard to cyberbullying of students
