Učíme používať Gen AI v školách a zakomponovať ich do vzdelávania v škole a ako s nimi majú deti pracovať.KEGA 010TTU-4/2025 Rozvoj informatického a algoritmického myslenia žiakov prostredníctvom efektívneho začlenenia moderných technológií do vyučovania informatiky a matematik

In: Acta aerarii publici : vedecký časopis Ekonomickej fakulty Univerzity Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici. Banská Bystrica : Vydavateľstvo Univerzity Mateja Bela Belianum, 2025. ISSN 1336-8818. Roč. 22, č. 1 (2025), s. 13-25.The textile industry is associated with negative environmental impacts due to the constant use of pesticides and polluting dyes, excessive use of water and electricity, and the release of emissions and polluting fumes into the atmosphere. Textile waste ends up in landfills or is incinerated, which poses a risk of soil, watercourses and air pollution. The increasing amount of textile waste and the lack of technologies for its recycling lead textile companies to seek alternative options for managing this type of waste and to the inevitable implementation of a circular economy. This article highlights the consequences of the fast fashion business model and alternative ways of dealing with textile waste. An analysis of waste flows in an industrial company is presented through a case study. The discussion presents possible solutions and ideas that could be applied in textile waste management in the fast fashion model

Prospective study on time-to-tertiary care in alcohol-associated hepatitis: space-time coordinates as prognostic tool and therapeutic target
In: Alcohol and alcoholism. Oxford : Oxford University Press, 2025. ISSN 0735-0414. Vol. 60, no. 2 (2025), pp. 1-11.Background and aims: Alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH) frequently triggers acute decompensation (AD) in cirrhosis, with severe AH linked to high short-term mortality, especially in acute-on-chronic liver failure. Current corticosteroid treatments have limited efficacy, highlighting the need for new therapies. We hypothesized that severe AH outcomes are influenced by early specialized care; thus, we examined the impact of time-to-tertiary care (TTTc).
Methods: Adults with cirrhosis or advanced chronic liver disease were enrolled (RH7, NCT04767945). AH was diagnosed using National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism criteria. Primary admission site, TTTc, and adverse outcomes (death or liver transplantation) were analyzed.
Patients admitted directly to tertiary care were assigned a TTTc of zero. Results: Of 221 AD-AH patients, 107 were transferred from secondary care to tertiary care (TTTc >0) and 114 were admitted directly (TTTc = 0). TTTc >0 patients were younger (48.3 vs. 52 years, P = .008) and had more severe disease, as shown by model for end-stage liver disease scores (25.5 vs. 20.8, P < .001) and Maddrey’s discriminant function (59.3 vs. 40.6, P < .001). Propensity-score matching yielded 49 case pairs. The Cox model showed that transfer from secondary care was not associated with increased risk, but delayed transfer (days, hazard ratio = 1.03, 95% confidence interval 1.01–1.05) independently predicted adverse outcomes.
Conclusions: Delayed initiation of specialized care adversely impacts outcomes in AD-AH. If validated, timely care bundles could improve AH survival, similar to sepsis or vascular syndromes

In: Hry 2025 = Games 2025 : sborník abstraktů z konference s tématikou her v programech tělovýchovných procesů. 1. vyd. Plzeň : Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, 2025. ISBN 978-80-261-1294-5. S. 56-58.Background: Students of artistic disciplines exhibit a unique study style that involves prolonged concentration on creative activities and individual projects. This nature of study influences their physical activity habits and opportunities for engaging in sports. Physical activity serves not only as a means to maintain physical fitness but also as an effective tool for psychological regeneration and enhancing creativity, which is particularly relevant for this group of students. Playful sports and movement activities offer an ideal opportunity to relieve mental tension, support social interactions, and develop teamwork skills, thereby naturally complementing the demanding artistic studies.
Objectives: This study analyzes the motivational factors and barriers to participation in physical activities, particularly sports games, among students of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. It also identifies gender differences in preferences and obstacles.
Methodology: The research was conducted during the winter semester of 2024/2025 using an anonymous online questionnaire. The sample consisted of 143 students (69 males, 74 females) with an average age of 21.9 years for males and 22.7 years for females. Data were analyzed using descriptive methods and the chi-square test at a significance level of α = 0.05.
Results: The physical activities of students predominantly have a recreational character, a trend observed in 66.4% of males and 66.2% of females. The most frequent daily step count ranged between 6,000 and 10,000 steps, reported by 55.1% of male and 59.5% of female respondents. The dominant motivational factor for engaging in physical activities involving sports games was health improvement, declared by 28.9% of males and 32.4% of females. The most significant limitation for such activities was a lack of free time, identified by 53.6% of males and 52.7% of females. The chi-square test analysis did not reveal statistically significant gender differences among the observed variables (p > 0.05).
Conclusions and Recommendations: Physical activity among students of artistic disciplines is predominantly recreational, with time constraints being the primary barrier to engaging in playful physical activities such as sports games. We recommend introducing flexible sports activities directly within the university environment, such as movement workshops or recreational sports games, many of which are both time- and cost-effective while also providing effective psychological relaxation and supporting recovery after demanding academic obligations.VEGA 1/0512/24 Epidemiológia porúch muskuloskeletálneho systému u študentov múzických umen

Effectiveness of mass marking of juvenile sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus) with alizarin red S stain on field detection
In: Fisheries management and ecology. Hoboken : John Wiley & Sons, 2025. ISSN 0969-997X. Vol. 32, no. 1 (2025), pp. 1-11.Sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus), one of the last sturgeons in the Danube basin, is regularly stocked in national and international restoration programs, but the efficacy of stocking has not yet been evaluated. Effectiveness of stocking should involve marking and evaluating growth and survival of juveniles. Chemical marking with alizarin red S (ARS) was evaluated to establish optimal ARS staining approaches for juvenile sterlet. Bathing in a 100–200 mg l−1 ARS concentration for 12 h had no affect on fish mortality or growth. Use of a green laser on the upper five external structures (dorsal, lateral, and ventral scutes and rostral and anal plates) allowed easy detection for at least a year. Simultaneous use of multiple external structures was effective for distinguishing stocked from wild fish without harm or sacrifice. We conclude that ARS staining enabled a cost-effective, quick, and labour-nonintensive way to mark sterlet, with a high-field detectability and minimal previous experience required.CINEA 101069837-LIFE21-IPE-SK-LIFE Living Rivers : Implementation of the river basin management plan in selected river sub-basins in Slovaki
