In: Sport Mont. Podgorica : Crnogorska sportska akademija, 2025. ISSN 1451-7485. Vol. 23, no. 3 (2025), pp. 103-110.This research aimed to determine and compare the annual prevalence of musculoskeletal problems (MSKP), such as aches, pains, discomfort, and numbness, for professional (PRO) golfers and amateur (AM) golfers. In to- tal, 144 golfers participated in our research: 45 PRO golfers from 18 countries and 99 AM golfers. The primary research method was a non-standardized online questionnaire. The part of the questionnaire focused on the occurrence of musculoskeletal pain in golfers contained questions from the standardized Örebro Musculoskeletal Pain Questionnaire (ÖMPQ). We collected responses from late July 2024 to mid-September 2024. A chi-square test of homogeneity showed that there was a significant difference in the annual prevalence of MSKP between PRO golfers and AM golfers in the shoulder (PRO=40.00%, AM =20.20%, RR=2.63 (95% CI:1.22—5.70)), wrist/hand (PRO=44.44%, AM=23.23%, RR=2.64 (95% CI:1.25—5.60)), hips/thighs (PRO=40.40%, AM=18.18%, RR = 2.56 (95 % CI:1.17—5.59)), and neck (PRO=40,00%, AM=18.18%, RR=3.00 (95% CI:1.37—6.58). Significant associations were found between MSKP and training load, competitive frequency, breaks from golf, age, and gender. Professional golfers reported higher prevalence of MSKP than amateurs, except for the elbows, where amateurs were more af- fected. Understanding these differences highlights the impact of training load and demographic factors on injury risk, which can inform coaches and medical staff in optimizing training programs and reducing pain occurrence

In: Journal of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics. Trnava : The University of Saint Cyril and Metodius in Trnava, The Faculty of Natural Sciences, 2025. ISSN 1336-9180. Vol. 21, no. 1 (2025), pp. 77-93.Big data is often characterized by its volume, velocity, and variety, properties that entail the fact that the data contains values and relationships that are too complex to be stored using standard, relational, or document databases. Graph databases, commonly utilized for their capacity to model complex relationships between sets of objects, provide an effective framework for the processing and storing of such data. Afterwards, it is necessary to work with data further − analyse it using methods of descriptive statistics and statistical analysis, visualize it with the use of exploratory analysis techniques, and especially use this data to build analytical models for predictive and estimation purposes. The main objective of the presented study is the design and implementation of the predictive potential metric in graph databases, which is based on the structures found in the graph databases themselves. We focus on the examination of the correlation between the attribute values of individual database objects and the mutual distance of these objects in the defined graph space. The proposed metric is verified using standard prediction models built on a sizeable graph database.UGA UMB UGA-14-PDS-2025 Korelačné štruktúry a vizuálna analýza vzorov v mnohorozmerných datasetoc

In: Aktuálne otázky trestného práva v teórii a praxi : zborník príspevkov z 13. ročníka interdisciplinárnej celoštátnej vedeckej konferencie s medzinárodnou účasťou / rec. Peter Polák, Adrián Jalč. 1. vyd. Bratislava : Akadémia Policajného zboru v Bratislave, 2025. ISBN 978-80-8293-044-6.

In: TEM Journal : technology, education, management, informatics. Novi Pazar : UIKTEN - Association for Information Communication Technology Education and Science, 2025. ISSN 2217-8309. Vol. 14, no. 3 (2025), pp. 2381-2389.The research explores the use of literary art in preschools from the perspective of preschool educators. A questionnaire, developed by the authors, served as the research tool, with responses collected from 366 preschool educators. The findings indicate that the current utilisation of literary art in preschools was characterised as better than average. However, the extent to which preschool educators are able to gain knowledge of literary art during their pre-service training or lifelong learning were lower than average. Additionally, the educators' attitude to literary art was assessed as lower than average. The research findings show that the extent to which preschool educators are able to gain knowledge of literary art significantly predict the strength of preschool educators' attitude with it. Furthermore, this attitude significantly predicts the extent to which literary art is employed in preschool education.KEGA 001UMB-4/2025 Hry s písmenami v predprimárnom vzdelávaní. In: IPSI transactions on internet research : multi-, inter-, and trans-disciplinary issues in computer science and engineering. Belehrad : IPSI, 2025. ISSN 1820-4503. Vol. 21, no. 2 (2025), pp. 62-75.The process of diagnostic analysis of data often incorporates human experts for problems outside of computer science and data analysis itself. These experts then interpret and explain the events, trends, and relationships identified in the studied data based on their previous domain knowledge. The main insufficiency of this approach to diagnostic data analysis is the lack of experts or their frequent unavailability, which motivated the previous use of pre-trained large language models as a surrogate for human experts in solving simple domain-specific problems. In this work, the web-focused application for diagnostic analysis of data based on the combination of large language models and correlation analysis is designed, implemented, and examined on twocase studies of commonly utilized benchmarking datasets. The proposed model emphasizes the use of interactive visualization techniques in the context of correlation maps, in which the significant relationships between the value of attributes of a dataset are identified, while the large language model offers a brief explanation of these relationships from the point of view of the data domain.KEGA 010TTU-4/2025 Rozvoj informatického a algoritmického myslenia žiakov prostredníctvom efektívneho začlenenia moderných technológií do vyučovania informatiky a matematik

The Perlmann crisis of the academic world

In: Discover Applied Sciences. Cham : Springer Nature Switzerland AG, 2025. ISSN 3004-9261. Vol. 7, no. 5 (2025), pp. 1-21.The article discusses the crisis of academia depicted in the novel Perlmanns Schweigen by Pascal Mercier (1995; Eng. trans. Perlmann’s Silence, 2012). It also examines the question of the novel’s genre classification. Perlmann’s burnout is represented by a web of motifs – such as losing one’s sense of purpose in regard to teaching and research work, competitive struggles such as popularity contests and number of publications, the inaccessible nature of the humanities, the commercialization of research, the contradiction between the philosophy of science and the practice of research work. We consider these to be distinctive because in the 1990s the repeating motifs unmasked the internal decay of the academic tradition along with the identity of the academic teacher or professor. It showed how the academic environment reacts to new trends in university education by distorting academic values and scientific research. In effect, this problem emerged because quality was exchanged for quantity, scientific respectability for social prestige and popularity. Thus the motifs are specifically concerned with the decline caused by the capitalization of academia, research work, and the subsequent thinking of teachers within the profession

Brno : Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2025. ISBN 978-80-7701-026-9. ISSN 2336-6311. S. 329-332.Physical activity in natural environments, often referred to as “green exercise” is linked to numerous benefits (e.g., physical, psychological) including reduction of stress, improved mood, and enhanced motivation for regular exercise (“green”, in our case). University students, who face increased risks of physical inactivity because of academic demands and lifestyle changes, have unique perspectives on participating in physical activity in natural environments; therefore, it (study) aims at exploring university students' perspectives on physical activity in natural environments; in particular, motivations and barriers. Instrument of survey (4Qs) was carried out 2 months (Jan. 1 – Feb. 28, 2025), as means of exploring 1,121 university students' (45.94% of boys, 54.06% of girls) perspectives on physical activity in natural environments. 35.33% (396) of students participated in green exercise 1x/ week (p ˂ 0.01), in general, for 1-3 hours/ week (51.57%; 580) (p ˂ 0.01). 43.69% (225) of male students participated in green exercise because of improving health (p ˂ 0.01), and 56.60% (343) of female students participated in green exercise because of relaxation and stress relief (p ˂ 0.01). “Lack of time” to participate in green exercise reported 67.81% (760) of students (p ˂ 0.01). It (study) highlights the need for strategy (targeted) to promote green exercise in university students by addressing the time constraints and emphasizing gender-specific motivators

The sustainability pension sub-index in the context of the indicators weights

    No full text
In: Statistika : Statistics and Economy Journal. Praha : Český statistický úřad, 2025. ISSN 0322-788X. Vol. 105, no 1 (2025), pp. 49-64.Pension systems are sensitive to economic and demographic challenges. The sustainability sub-index is essential for ensuring the stability and reliability of pension systems for both current and future pensioners. It assists policymakers and stakeholders in identifying areas where reforms may be necessary to enhance the sustainability of pension policies. This contribution focuses on determining the weights for individual indicators of the sustainability sub-index using several methods of weight determination in multi-criteria decision-making, specifically subjective methods. The weights are determined using four methods: Saaty’s exact and approximate method, Thurstone's method of pair comparison, and Best-Worst method. It also provides sustainability sub-index values for selected European countries included in Mercer’s score determination, as well as for Slovakia, which is not yet included in Mercer’s evaluations. Thurstone's method of pair comparison appears to be the method most consistent with Mercer's methodology in determining the weights for indicators of the sustainability sub-index.VEGA 1/0124/24 Slovensko v kontexte dôchodkového indexu a indexu starnutia populácie - perspektíva budúcnost
