Weights refinement for the Active Ageing Index

Pp. 16-16.The Active Ageing Index (AAI) is a composite measure designed to assess the potential of older individuals for active and healthy participation in society. It comprises 22 individual indicators, categorized into four domains. Each domain has a corresponding sub-index, calculated as a weighted mean of its indicators, while the overall AAI is determined as a weighted average of the four sub-indices. Initially, a panel of experts established the relative importance of the indicators and domains, expressed through implicit weights. To mitigate discrepancies arising from variations in indicator magnitudes, explicit weights were derived. Despite significant changes in some indicators over time, the explicit weights remained unchanged across all AAI editions for European countries. This prompted us to develop an optimization program to refine explicit weights based on current indicator data. The revised weights aim to minimize differences between individual indicators’ contributions to the AAI and expert recommendations. Conceptualizations of inclusive schooling by pre-service teachers in Slovakia

Vol. 83, no. 5 (2025), pp. 689-704.Understanding how pre-service teachers conceptualize inclusive schooling is critical for effective teacher education. The present study examined how 455 pre-service teachers from eight Slovak universities perceive and prioritize eight distinct conceptualizations of an inclusive school, analyzing influences of professional specialization, study mode, and experience with diversity. A quantitative survey, utilizing ratings on a 6-point Likert scale and forced choice ranking, revealed "every child is valued" as the most preferred concept, signaling a strong normative commitment to individual children's worth. "Bottom-up inclusion," emphasizing practical, team-based approaches, also ranked highly. While no significant differences were found across teacher specializations or personal experience with diversity, part-time students showed stronger preference for "bottom-up inclusion" compared to full-time students, who prioritized "every child is valued". Držanie tela u študentov múzických umení v závislosti od BMI indexu

Roč. 13, č. 1 (2025), s. 1-10.Proper posture plays a crucial role in the lives of students in music and other artistic disciplines, as their activities often lead to static and asymmetrical postural positions, potentially contributing to the development of musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to analyse posture and its individual segments in relation to Body Mass Index (BMI) among female students of performing arts. The research sample consisted of 107 female students from the Faculty of Performing Arts, divided into two groups based on BMI: students with optimal weight (BMI 18.5–24.99) and underweight students (BMI 0.05). Underweight students achieved a higher proportion of good to nearly perfect posture (57.58%) compared to students with optimal weight (33.78%). The findings highlight the necessity for an individualized approach to students based on their BMI and the implementation of targeted physical interventions to improve postural habits. Regular monitoring and educational activities can enhance the health and well-being of students in artistic disciplines, thereby promoting the achievement of optimal postural balance.VEGA 1/0512/24 Epidemiológia porúch muskuloskeletálneho systému u študentov múzických umen
Afinná geometria v analytickom a didaktickom kontexte - Zobrazenia, vizualizácie, aplikácie
Cieľom učebnice je poskytnúť študentom prehľad základných princípov afinného priestoru a zobrazení. Prezentované učivo postupne prechádza od fundamentálnych konceptov vektorového priestoru cez základy afinných transformácií až po ich aplikácie. Učebnica je štruktúrovaná tak, aby nadväzovala na znalosti z lineárnej algebry, čím poskytuje čitateľom pevný teoretický základ a zároveň ich pripravuje na pokročilejšie štúdium geometrie a príbuzných oblastí.
Prvá časť sa venuje základom vektorových priestorov, čo zahŕňa lineárnu závislosť, dimenziu, bázu a skalárny súčin. Táto sekcia slúži ako vstupná brána pre pochopenie štruktúry afinného priestoru, kde sú predstavené jeho základné vlastnosti vrátane vzájomnej polohy podpriestorov. Nasledujúca časť sa sústreďuje na afinné zobrazenia, ktoré sú kľúčovým nástrojom na pochopenie transformácií geometrických útvarov, ako sú posunutia, rovnoľahlosti a osové súmernosti. Záver učebnice zahŕňa aj konkrétne príklady a úlohy, ktoré pomáhajú študentom upevniť teoretické poznatky prostredníctvom praktických aplikácií.
V súčasnosti zohrávajú informačné a komunikačné technológie (IKT) dôležitú úlohu vo vzdelávaní, a analytická geometria nie je výnimkou. Prostredie GeoGebra, ktoré ponúka intuitívne ovládanie a široké možnosti vizualizácie, predstavuje efektívny nástroj na demonštráciu princípov afinných zobrazení a ich aplikácií. Applety vytvorené v GeoGebre umožňujú študentom interaktívne skúmať rôzne geometrické situácie, meniť parametre a okamžite sledovať výsledky svojich úprav. Tento prístup podporuje nielen lepšie pochopenie abstraktných konceptov, ale aj aktívne zapojenie študentov do procesu učenia. Okrem toho poskytuje možnosť skúmať zložité geometrické transformácie, ktoré by inak vyžadovali zložité manuálne výpočty.
Učebnica je určená pre študentov vysokých škôl, najmä tých, ktorí sa zaoberajú matematikou, fyzikou či informatickými disciplínami. Utilization of AI-driven manufacturing technologies: an empirical study

Pp. 139-146.The article aims to identify the current and anticipated use of AI-driven manufacturing technologies in Slovak manufacturing companies. Building on a 2017 study by Závadský& Závadská, the research revisits and expands the original sample to 115 companies. The study examines the adoption and future expectations of 10 selected AI technologies through a structured survey of quality and production managers. Key findings show that 3D Printing, Predictive Maintenance Systems, Generative Design, and Supply Chain Optimization Systems are the most widely used. Digital Twins, Robotic Process Automation, and Collaborative Robots are the most anticipated. Predictive Maintenance, though widely used, has limited future growth potential. The data reveal the current state and trajectory of AI integration in manufacturing. Statistical tests confirm the sample’s representativeness across industries. Phenomenon of footbal l Hooliganism - an evidence-based analysis

It is a systemic approach focused on the application of the latest evidence on the problem of football hooliganism as well as the authors’ experiences aimed at preventing and eliminating this problem. Football hooliganism as a socio-pathological part of sports fandom is becoming a global social phenomenon. The contribution sets two basic goals. The first goal is the interpretations of football hooliganism through current literary sources, political documents and conducted research, as well as the authors’ experiences from scientific research and social prevention activities in this area. The second goal is the identification of football hooliganism prevention strategies and the possibilities of cooperation between helping professionals and public authorities in the prevention and elimination of this negative social phenomenon
Modern digital phenomena that disrupt the parent-child relationship

Family bonds and relationships are formed here. However, the large and easy availability of digital media and high Internet connectivity affects not only children, but also parents and families as a whole. Modern phenomena enter the parent-child relationship, which disrupt it. They are e.g. parental technoference, that is technological distraction, where a parent interrupts the interaction between him and his child to control a digital device, also includes parental phubbing, referring to the extent to which parents use or are distracted by their mobile phones while interacting with their children. Technoference is a term used to describe what people do when they "phub" someone around them. We will also focus on the phenomenon of sharenting, which is the sharing of information, photos and videos of children by their parents on the Internet. The development of technology brings more positives to humanity, but the biggest impact of negatives affects the family and its entire survival. Research-oriented model of cognitive learning in the subject of Technique

Sonderausgabe 1 (2025), pp. 75-89.This article focuses on the research-oriented model of student education in the subject of Technique in lower secondary education in the Slovak Republic. The proposed model reflects the long-term educational needs in the subject of Technique, which, despite updates to the curriculum in the Educational Standard of the subject, have yet to be fully addressed. The learning model includes worksheets for students that feature experiments, along with a methodology for carrying out each experiment. Students discover new knowledge through research activities during the experiment, which they then evaluate at the end of the worksheet. Fuzzy masks for correlation matrix pruning

Vol. 13 (2025), pp. 35387-35400.Among statistical methods used in data analysis processes, correlation analysis holds one of the most significant places. Using correlation, analysts measure prediction potential between values of a pair of attributes of a dataset which can be summarized into a correlation matrix for any multidimensional dataset. Such matrices are usually sizable, and hard to read. Pruning of the correlation matrix for the precise selection of attribute pairs of a considered dataset which bear strong prediction potential is conventionally conducted via correlation matrix masks. Since these masks are commonly designed as crisp borders for the acceptability of values in the matrix, there is a strong lack of nuance in this approach. The work presented in the scope of this study focuses on the design and implementation of fuzzy masks for correlation matrices.
This objective is divided into three main tasks - firstly, the visualization of correlation coefficient value frequency and its relationship to fuzzy membership function is designed and implemented, then visualisation of basic regression analysis and correlation context of attribute pairs in the fuzzy area of a studied dataset is designed and implemented, and lastly, the proposed approach is evaluated via case studies on three benchmarking datasets. The results obtained with the fuzzy approach to correlation matrix masks show a qualitative improvement in the matrix pruning task and a more appropriate identification of the relevant parts of the dataset compared to the conventional, crips approach
