Concerning the notion of pleasure, this article links to thinking about the creativ process of contemporary artist Celeste Boursier-Mougenot. In essence, it will introduce the notion that the aesthetic experience of pleasure, experienced by the viewer in the context of these installations, is the fruit of the artist’s research on temporal anachronism. If the spectator feels pleasure, it is because the artist constructs a particular connection to time, via compositions of anachronisms. This article will hightlight both her experiments developed in her studio as well as certain installations, notably Vidéodrones

In order to contribute to the analysis of the “disseminations of video games”, this article attempts to examine the “Serious Game” designation itself. Our study relies on a corpus of texts aiming to define what a “Serious Game” is, alongside with a corpus of video games matching its definition. We will begin with a study of the historical origins of the “Serious Game” designation, in order to identify what it refers to, and why it is used today. Using these elements, we will then try to discuss the underlying purpose of the “Serious Game” designation, and how it might challenge the current definitions of “game”
More and more so, robots are developed in the image of their makers. Human markedness manages much of the robots interactions. Paradoxically, the robot, although made in the human’s image, lacks mainly in humanity. Humanoid robots are the product of programs, artificial intelligence, and other digital interactions. The further it bears human likeness, the further it strays from humanity, resulting in the experience of the grotesque. Engaging in anthropologic and semiotic inquiries, we consider now the grotesque as the entry point to understanding the robot’s “humanity”
This paper is based on a previous research about the use of the light in the touchscreen of smartphones, in 2009. This deals, now with simplexe motion implied in the same touchscreens. According to Jean Baudrillard, we compare the functional system he described in his book, The system of objects, to give an accurate model of this system including now the smartphones. The way motion controls devices inspires a new way of thinking our relationship with the augmented functional space. This paper shows how motion build the coherence in between the user and the system of the objects, and how nature of motion has evolved from the use of tools to the use of smartphones to become simplexe. Understanding, the role of the motion in the use of devices, helps industrial design to get the spread of smartphones and tablets easier
Since the 2000th and moreover with smartphones or touchpads, the mobile Internet trigs a shift of paradigm as well as a deep mutation of Human being and Society, kind of new way to be altogether, a new post modern “art de vivre”. Starting from examples of mobile applications and leveraging on Sociology of Imagination and day life, we will follow these new social tracks to figure out if these social spaces arising on the Net eventually are new way of life symptoms rather than only signs among others of postmodernism
