Get PDFThis book aims to unravel the work of one of the most important thinkers in the design disciplines due to the impact he has had on the production of knowledge, professional practice and design education. This is a work of great value for students and academics, as it will allow them to approach Richard Buchanan\u27s thought, recognize the value of his contributions, discuss them, question them and, if possible, even continue them. Despite being one of the most important, it is also little known among students, since in order to enter into his thought there is first the language barrier, since the great majority of the texts and video conferences that he has given in universities around the world are in English and are not subtitled. The second obstacle for those who do know the language, perhaps, is the structure of his texts, since in them he addresses problems of the design disciplines that are already complex. Thus, although the author is not incomprehensible, perhaps he does require an investment of time and effort, which are two things that are generally not available when one is inserted in the university dynamic, since academic-administrative tasks tend to consume it. With the objective of collaborating in the understanding and discussion of Buchanan\u27s ideas and bringing them closer to the entire academic community, with students as a priority, the authors who participated in this collective effort took on the task of identifying guiding lines in Buchanan\u27s thought, through his texts and conferences.
Buchanan and Design is a book that presents the results of researchers located in different universities in the country, members of the Design Researchers Network. This work aims to identify the perspectives that have had the greatest impact on the understanding of design disciplines, such as graphic design, industrial design, fashion design, interior design, interaction design, service design, among others. The findings are of great academic value because they allow, first, to present a key author in the understanding of design to a new audience, perhaps because the language did not allow an in-depth approach; second, to recognize central ideas of the author that have had a significant impact in different areas of design; third, to extend his ideas to new fields and current practices to understand the design disciplines. These findings were made possible thanks to the collective review of the author\u27s publications, interviews and conferences that have been saved on the Internet.El presente libro tiene como objetivo desentrañar el trabajo de uno de los pensadores más importantes para las disciplinas del diseño por el impacto que ha tenido en la producción del conocimiento, en la práctica profesional y en la educación del diseño. Éste es un trabajo de gran valor para estudiantes y académicos, pues les permitirá acercarse al pensamiento de Richard Buchanan, reconocer el valor de sus aportes, discutirlos, cuestionarlos y si es posible hasta continuarlos. A pesar de ser de los más importantes, también es poco conocido entre estudiantes, puesto que para entrar en su pensamiento existe primero la barrera del lenguaje, ya que la gran mayoría de los textos y conferencias en video que ha impartido en universidades de todo el mundo, se encuentran en inglés y no están subtituladas. El segundo obstáculo para los que sí conocen el lenguaje, quizá sea el entramado de sus textos, puesto que en ellos aborda problemas de las disciplinas del diseño ya de por sí complejas. Así, aunque el autor no es incomprensible, quizá sí requiere invertir tiempo y esfuerzo, que son dos cosas con las que generalmente no se cuenta cuando se está inserto en la dinámica universitaria, puesto que las labores académico-administrativas suelen consumirlo. Con el objetivo de colaborar en la comprensión y discusión de las ideas de Buchanan y acercarlas a toda la comunidad académica teniendo como prioridad a los estudiantes, los autores que participamos en este esfuerzo colectivo nos dimos a la tarea de identificar líneas guía en el pensamiento de Buchanan, a través de sus textos y conferencias.
Buchanan y el diseño es un libro que presenta los resultados de investigadores ubicados en diferentes universidades del país, miembros de la Red de Investigadores en Diseño. Esta obra pretende identificar las perspectivas que han tenido mayor impacto en la comprensión de las disciplinas del diseño, tales como diseño gráfico, diseño industrial, diseño de moda, diseño de interiores, diseño de interacción, diseño de servicios, entre otras. Los hallazgos son de gran valor académico pues permiten, primero, presentar un autor medular en la comprensión del diseño a un público nuevo, quizá porque el idioma no permitía un acercamiento a profundidad; segundo, reconocer ideas centrales del autor que han tenido un impacto significativo en diferentes áreas del diseño; tercero, extender sus ideas a nuevos campos y prácticas actuales para comprender las disciplinas del diseño. Dichos hallazgos se dieron gracias a la revisión colectiva de publicaciones del autor, entrevistas y conferencias que han quedado guardadas en la red

Get PDFThis book is one of the results of the artistic research-production project “Los Campos”, initiated by Berenice Cortés Campos in 2015, which she continues to develop until the date of publication of this text. What is presented here (first phase of the project), includes references and reflections linked to issues of art history and theory(s), mainly on functionality that lay the foundations for the approach of this proposal as research as well as artistic production.
In addition, by inquiring into and accounting for the social dynamics of the locality of origin of the researcher-artist, it is the beginning of a qualitative social research that, in recent years, has worked in greater depth.
Also included is the documentation of actions that together with the research process (inquiry, observation, reflection, writing) make up the artistic production of the project. Actions/pieces such as conducting interviews, planting vegetables, organizing festive events, documenting traditions, conducting food preparation workshops and photography exhibitions, among others, constitute the “experiential art piece” proposed by the author.Through this document, readers will be able to approach this proposal in which agriculture, history, coexistence, traditions, food, migration, economy and identity converge. All this seen from an artistic and social research perspective.Este libro es uno de los resultados del proyecto de investigación-producción artística “Los Campos”, iniciado por Berenice Cortés Campos en 2015, el cual continúa desarrollando hasta la fecha de publicación de este texto. Lo que aquí se presenta (primera fase del proyecto), incluye referentes y reflexiones vinculadas con cuestiones de historia y teoría(s) del arte, principalmente sobre la funcionalidad que sientan las bases del planteamiento de esta propuesta como investigación a la vez que como producción artística.
Además, al indagar y dar cuenta de dinámicas sociales de la localidad de origen de la investigadora-artista, es el comienzo de una investigación social cualitativa que, en años recientes, ha trabajado más a profundidad.
Asimismo, se incluye la documentación de acciones que junto con el proceso de investigación (indagación, observación, reflexión, escritura) conforman la producción artística del proyecto. Acciones/piezas como la realización de entrevistas, siembra de hortalizas, organización de eventos festivos, documentación de tradiciones, realización de talleres de preparación de alimentos y exposiciones de fotografía, entre otras, constituyen la “pieza de arte experiencial” planteada por la autora.

EL TERCERO CONSTITUCIONAL A DEBATE
Get PDFSecular, free, compulsory, comprehensive, scientific, democratic, nationalist, and quality education, as values for public education that have been incorporated and evolved over time, have given meaning and direction to government action for much of the century since the Mexican Constitution of 1917 was enacted; however, they still seem distant and insufficient to configure the educational project of future Mexico. Therefore, the debate on the right to education, although it has been present among specialists and academics for several decades, seems more relevant today, in the face of the difficulties and controversies that the 2013 education reform has faced.The centenary of Article 3 of the Constitution is a symbolic framework that provides the opportunity to compile the current state of the debate, which has been achieved thanks to the collaboration between the National Pedagogical University, the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences-Mexico (FLACSO) and the Education Commission of the Senate of the Republic, 63rd Legislature, which also opens up the possibility for permanent reflection on the challenges that this important human right will have to face in the coming years.To provide a fair reflection of the national debate, plurality was established as one of the main objectives of this work. The contributions included were developed by their authors, in response to a call from the National Pedagogical University and the Education Commission of the Senate of the Republic, 63rd Legislature, seeking that anyone interested in the subject who had something to contribute to the debate could do so, always within a framework of tolerance for the right of others to dissent, a condition that the participating authors showed in a high example of capacity for dialogue and debate among peers, where totalizing positions gave way to critical reflection.Educación laica, gratuita, obligatoria, integral, científica, democrática, nacionalista y de calidad, como valores para la educación pública que se han incorporado y evolucionado a través del tiempo, han dado sentido y orientación a la acción gubernamental durante gran parte del siglo que ha cumplido la Constitución mexicana de 1917; sin embargo, parecen aún lejanos e insuficientes para configurar el proyecto educativo del México futuro. Por ello, el debate sobre el derecho a la educación, si bien tiene varias décadas de estar presente entre especialistas y académicos, parece más pertinente hoy, frente a las dificultades y controversias que ha enfrentado la reforma educativa de 2013.
El centenario del Artículo Tercero Constitucional es un marco simbólico que brinda la oportunidad de compendiar el estado actual de su debate, mismo que se ha logrado gracias a la colaboración entre la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales-México (flacso) y la Comisión de Educación del Senado de la República lxiii Legislatura, que además abre la posibilidad para la reflexión permanente sobre los retos que deberá enfrentar, en los años venideros, este importante derecho humano.
Para hacer un justo reflejo del debate nacional, la pluralidad se planteó como uno de los principales objetivos de esta obra. Un acercamiento a la investigación multidisciplinar en la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes
Get PDFAccording to the World Health Organization\u27s (WHO) declaration of April 27, 2020, on December 31, 2019, the presence of a new coronavirus was confirmed, causing multiple cases of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, China. Due to its spread and severity, on March 11, 2020, the WHO declared that a pandemic level had been reached (WHO, 2020). In Mexico, on March 24, 2020, an agreement was published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) to establish preventive measures and mitigate the health risks caused by SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19).
This pandemic has made 2020 an extremely challenging year for the entire world. In Aguascalientes, Mexico, we continued with our usual lives during the first quarter; however, in the last week of March, our university implemented health measures to protect its community, which included confinement, the implementation of distance learning, and the suspension of all academic meetings scheduled for that year. This situation, recognized as the "new normal," spurred the creativity of the university community to adapt planned activities and design emerging projects.
In July, the 21st edition of the Research Seminar, convened annually by the General Directorate of Research and Postgraduate Studies with the purpose of disseminating "results of scientific, humanistic, and technological research, as well as strengthening the integration of networks and research groups" (SI, 2020), should have been held.
Given that the Seminar could not be held this year, the Department of Research Support generated an emerging project through which it invited professors from all UAA centers, who had completed research projects, to develop a book chapter for a publication that would allow the recognition of the different disciplines from which research is conducted at our university.
In the act of bringing together in a single publication the diversity of projects - from Agricultural Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Design and Construction Sciences, Economic and Administrative Sciences, Natural and Exact Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities - carried out by an academic community that shares the values, mission, vision, and resources - human and material - provided by an institution, an opportunity is recognized to reflect on the notion of system exposed by Mario Bunge, who was one of the Spanish-speaking scientists who has marked a large number of Latin American research.De acuerdo con la declaración del 27 de abril de 2020 de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), el 31 de diciembre de 2019 se confirmó la presencia de un nuevo coronavirus, causante de múltiples casos de neumonía en la ciudad de Wuhan, China. Por su propagación y gravedad, el 11 de marzo de 2020 la OMS declaró que se había alcanzado el nivel de pandemia (OMS, 2020). En México, el 24 de marzo de 2020, en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) se publicó un acuerdo para establecer medidas preventivas y mitigar los riesgos de salud provocados por el SARS-CoV2 (covid-19).
Esta pandemia ha hecho del 2020 un año sumamente retador para el mundo entero. En Aguascalientes, México, continuamos con la vida habitual durante el primer trimestre; sin embargo, la última semana de marzo nuestra universidad emprendió medidas sanitarias para proteger a su comunidad, entre las que se encontraban el confinamiento, la implementación de cursos a distancia y la suspensión de todos los encuentros académicos programados para ese año. Esta situación, reconocida como “nueva normalidad” impulsó la creatividad de la comunidad universitaria para adecuar las actividades planeadas y para diseñar proyectos emergentes.
En el mes de julio debió haberse realizado la emisión 21 del Seminario de Investigación convocado anualmente por la Dirección General de Investigación y Posgrado con el propósito de difundir “resultados de investigaciones científicas, humanísticas y tecnológicas, así como reforzar la integración de redes y grupos de investigación” (SI, 2020).
Dado que el Seminario no pudo realizarse este año, el Departamento de Apoyo a la Investigación generó un proyecto emergente mediante el cual convocó a profesores de todos los centros de la UAA, que tuvieran proyectos de investigación concluidos, a elaborar un capítulo de libro para una publicación que permitiera reconocer las distintas disciplinas desde las cuales se realiza investigación en nuestra universidad.
En el acto de hacer converger en una misma publicación la diversidad de proyectos –de las Ciencias Agropecuarias, las Ciencias Biomédicas, las Ciencias del Diseño y la Construcción, las Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, las Ciencias Naturales y Exactas, las Ciencias Sociales, las Artes y las Humanidades–, realizados por una comunidad académica que comparte los valores, misión, visión y recursos –humanos y materiales– dispuestos por una institución, se reconoce una oportunidad para reflexionar sobre la noción de sistema expuesta por Mario Bunge, quien fue uno de los científicos de habla hispana que ha marcado una gran cantidad de investigaciones latinoamericanas

It includes a dozen texts that bring together multiple dimensions and account for fundamental social and ideological changes with a historical perspective, from case studies of some companies, actors and journalistic projects, to topics that are highly topical, such as women\u27s and feminist voices and representations in newspapers and magazines, gender roles focused on in advertisements, the press as a stage for film criticism and theatrical censorship, as well as the press as a source for reconstructing daily life, the social and cultural atmosphere, and even key moments in the development of ecclesiastical institutions, as well as museums. Geometría Analítica: Puntos, vectores y matrices
Get PDFGeometry is one of the oldest branches of mathematics and there is a great deal of information about it, both in the literature and on the web. The creation of analytic geometry is traditionally attributed to René Descartes; however, there were already known works before him in which geometry and algebra were combined. Moreover, Descartes did not employ the geometric concept of vector.
This book develops Euclidean Analytic Geometry of the plane and space from a vector perspective. It is not that there are not several texts on the market with this material; unfortunately those that approach the subject with acceptable rigor (without going into detail on what acceptable means) are out of print and difficult to acquire, and those that are commercial, it is precisely this quality that detracts from their rigor and depth when dealing with the concepts. This work is not intended to redefine the rigor of the subject, but rather to contribute as a modern text with a treatment suitable for students of mathematics or physics, or in its case, for engineering students who wish to complement their courses in physics, linear algebra or calculus in several variables as far as geometric interpretation is concerned.La geometría es una de las ramas más antiguas de la matemática y se encuentra bastante información al respecto, tanto bibliográfica como en la red. Por su parte, la creación de la geometría analítica se atribuye tradicionalmente a René Descartes, no obstante, ya se conocían trabajos anteriores a él en los que se combinaron la geometría y el álgebra. Además, Descartes no empleó el concepto geométrico de vector.
En este libro se desarrolla la Geometría Analítica Euclidiana del plano y del espacio desde una perspectiva vectorial. No es que no hayan diversos textos en el mercado con este material; desafortunadamente los que abordan el tema con un rigor aceptable (sin entrar en detalle en lo que significa aceptable) se encuentran fuera de imprenta y son de difícil adquisición, y los que son comerciales, es precisamente esta cualidad lo que les resta rigor y profundidad al tratar los conceptos. Esta obra no pretende redefinir el rigor de la materia, sino más bien contribuir como un texto moderno y con un tratamiento adecuado para estudiantes de matemáticas o física, o en su caso, para estudiantes de ingeniería que deseen complementar sus cursos de física, álgebra lineal o cálculo en varias variables en lo que a interpretación geométrica se refiere
