Analysis of the Enhanced Boyer-Moore Search Algorithm for a Desktop PC Search Engine
In the digital era, the volume of digital contents stored on personal computers has been rapidly and continuously increasing. Finding documents among this bulk of files has become tedious and stressful. In this regard, string searching and pattern matching algorithms must be employed to alleviate the performance of search engines, making it easier to find the desired documents. This paper aims to analyze the performance of an enhanced Boyer-Moore (BM) search algorithm to assist in finding the intended information or files. A series of tests have been conducted in order to compare the enhanced BM algorithm with the traditional BM algorithm. The results have shown that the Enhanced Boyer-Moore Algorithm performed the search and managed to speed up the searching process by reducing the time duration and the accuracy of the overall performance as the input text increased
Understanding the Influence of Consumer Demographics and Factors Driving Online and Offline Shopping: Implications for Businesses and Policymakers in Antique
This study explores the influence of consumer demographics on preferences for online and offline shopping in the province of Antique. With the rapid growth of e-commerce and the changing retail landscape, understanding the factors that drive consumer decisions is crucial for businesses and policymakers. A quantitative research design was employed, and data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed to consumers in Antique. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between demographic characteristics (gender, age, educational attainment, marital status, and occupation) and the preference for online or offline shopping. However, convenience, access to customer reviews, competitive prices, and the ability to compare items were identified as key factors driving online shopping preferences. On the other hand, the sensory experience, immediate product availability, personalized customer service, and the avoidance of shipping fees and delays were significant factors for offline shopping preferences. Businesses in Antique should focus on establishing a strong online presence, optimizing websites, and providing competitive pricing. They should also enhance the offline shopping experience and adopt an omnichannel strategy. Policymakers can support businesses by promoting e-commerce development and facilitating digital literacy programs. By aligning their strategies with these findings, businesses and policymakers can effectively cater to consumer preferences and drive growth in the province of Antique
Development of an Academic Performance Monitoring System Using Least Squares Regression for Predicting Student Academic Performance Status on Professional Courses
This study deals with the development of an academic performance monitoring system using least squares regression to predict a student’s academic performance status on professional courses. The proposed system monitors the student’s academic performance to promote education and achieve learning outcomes. The study aims to design and create a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and its functions, to utilize MATLAB for forecasting and a least squares regression model to show and predict the relationship between two factors, and to evaluate the system’s predicting accuracy using Percentage Forecast Error (PFE) and Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) to compare actual and forecasted data for every semester. The sample size includes 182 students of BS Information Technology, of whom thirteen (13) were successfully chosen using simple random sampling with their GPAs for the purpose of predicting future academic performance

In this paper, as human-computer interface (HCI) technology advances, opportunities are analyzed to provide a better service environment for the visually impaired. The system and user interaction for the visually impaired will become possible through the convergence of technologies that include location-based services, wireless body sensor networks, and smart devices, which can have direct and positive impacts. The system connects to the user\u27s mobility assistance device through a smartphone app and helps the user walk to identify and guide through obstacles. This interactive technology is expected to provide a convenient environment for visually impaired users

Website Traffic Patterns and User Behavior: A Comprehensive Study of Visitor Interactions and Engagement Metrics
Websites play a crucial role in disseminating information, promoting communication, and engaging various stakeholders. In the context of universities, websites serve as central online hubs for academic programs, campus life, faculty profiles, resources, news, and more. This study focuses on the website of the University of Antique (UA), a state university in the Philippines, to analyze visitor behavior and engagement. The research objectives include collecting and analyzing data on website visits, page views, bounce rates, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns. The study aims to identify frequently accessed pages, assess the impact of marketing campaigns, capture visitor demographics, and identify areas for website improvement. Data collection took place over a 60-day period using Google Analytics tools, including acquisition, page statistics, and search tools. The study follows a systems approach, where visitor data is automatically recorded in the Google Analytics database. The research methodology involves measuring acquisition metrics, page and screen metrics, device and browser metrics, and geographic metrics. The results indicate that organic search traffic performs well in attracting new users, with the home page showing the highest engagement. Mobile devices are dominant in accessing the website, while the majority of users are from the Philippines. The findings provide insights for optimizing website design, content relevance, and user experience to enhance engagement and achieve conversion goals

Documents Component Ontology (DoCO): Laguna University Accreditation Tool
The document layers’ representation, arrangement, and discourse in machine-readable survey forms are pivotal for both users and machines in organizing and understanding the documents. In this endeavor, the researchers instituted DoCO, the Document Components Ontology for the Accreditation of Laguna University. This is the classification that gives an all-purpose organized file elements’ vocabulary to chronicle units of a document. As a result of the overall assessment of the respondents and clients in terms of Functional Suitability, Performance Efficiency, Compatibility, Usability, Reliability, Security, Maintainability, and Portability which got 4.12 as the overall weighted mean, which is verbally interpreted as “Good.” The respondents perceived the developed project as effective because it could give quick, valid, and fixed information. This can be utilized for the accreditation purposes of the institution

Emergency Number Services Rescue Mobile App in Sta. Cruz, Laguna
This paper aimed to support and help people who are experiencing emergencies, mishaps, crimes, vehicle problems, or disasters in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. With this, an Emergency Number Services Rescue Mobile App in Sta. Cruz, Laguna was devised, developed, and evaluated. This app provides different emergency units where people can send emergency message information, GPS location, and direct calls where users or victims encounter an emergency, crime, vehicle problem, or disaster situation. Respondents from Sta. Cruz Laguna using stratified random sampling was utilized. The use of the descriptive method of research was identified in the study. Questionnaires, formal interviews, observation, library resources, and Internet resources were used for data gathering. The emergency application was assessed by the respondents through software evaluation using ISO/IEC 25010:2011, which got an overall weighted mean of 3.79 with an interpretation of “Agree.
