The Meaning of Social Justice
This paper showcases the context of social justice as well as the development of modern concept of inclusive distributive justice. Looking at treaties, protocols, and universal human rights as bases of fundamental objective of the right to life and the dignity of human persons, as well as in lay man’s term, it touches the concepts of primary social goods such as rights, liberty, and opportunity. Essentially, summarizing the term as opportunities and aspects of institutions that the citizens should have in order to live a sense of their own worth as moral persons and thereby, realizing the individual’s highest interest and advancing people’s self-confidence and self-worth
MY VISION, MISSION AND DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR THE POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THEPHILIPPINES
The concept of epistemic community as applied in the academe has been the selling point in the crafting of the vision, mission and development goals of the author in his initial vie for the presidency of PUP. Using this context “clearing the path towards making PUP a reputable academic and professional epistemic community,” he proposes that changes could be done , in terms of devolution and democratization of processes, transparency in rewards and sanctions, refurbishing classrooms and creation of spaces for students to decongest the main campus, reconceptualization and reinstitutionalization of the student council and the student paper, and lobby for higher state subsidy as well as look for opportunities to augment budget through research and academic excellence

Pernicious Martial Law Imprints Still Palpable
The article highlights the premise that human rights violations and martial law abuses are still at the fore in today’s context. The author, a political prisoner during martial law regime, and a victim of torture himself, provides somewhat an insider’s account and discusses impunity as one of the reasons why there is still markings and shadow military rule, also why such conditions prevailed up to now, and as well as why military police abuses have not been stopped despite the new administrations effort.
The Plight of Informal Settlers and the Value of People’s Participation in Implementing Housing Projects
The research undertaken served as an imperative material as it looks intothe circumstance of lack of housing of urban poor people and how these people struggle amidst their condition, its a bottom-up approach development initiative, and it documents people’s voices and sentiments, and how conflict was resolved. Specifically, it focuses on social capital formation in the context of establishing organizations such as cooperatives and peoples organizations that would address the need of the community: the basic need for shelter. In the process of building the housing projects, the research looks at how people’s participation, cultural background becomes critical for both the effectiveness and sustainability of the project.
