Expert System to Diagnose Mental Health Disorders Using the Dempster Shafer Algorithm
This study aims to address the challenge of diagnosing mental disorders by using an expert system to provide accurate and efficient diagnosis. Mental health is crucial for achieving harmony in life, and the ability to face problems, feel happiness, and maintain positivity are all essential aspects of this. However, diagnosing mental disorders can be difficult and time-consuming, as symptoms may vary depending on the patient's condition and lifestyle. The study utilizes symptom data from 30 patients with 6 types of mental disorders, with each symptom assigned a weighted value of belief for the corresponding disorder. The Dempster Shafer algorithm is then used to process this data and obtain a total confidence value for each disorder. The results show a 97% confidence value for the patient's mental disorder, which can help psychologists make informed decisions and provide appropriate treatment
Syntactic Generation of Research Thesis Sketches Across Disciplines Using Formal Grammars
A part of the prerequisites for granting a degree in higher education institutions, students at postgraduate levels normally carry out research, which they do report in the form of theses or dissertations. Study has shown that students tend to go through difficulties in writing research thesis across all disciplines because they do not fully comprehend what constitutes a research thesis. This project proposes the syntactic generation of research thesis sketches across disciplines using formal grammars. Sketching is a synthesis technique which enables users to deliver high-level intuitions into a synthesis snag while leaving low-level details to synthesis tools. This work extends sketching to document generation for research thesis documents. Context-free grammar rules were designed and implemented for this task. Inventory Information System Development to Improve Goods Data Collection Process
The study subject is a company operating in the iron industry, where its business processes are hampered by challenges in effectively managing its inventory. The existing inventory system is characterized by disorganized stock storage within the warehouse, leading to difficulties in monitoring stock availability. Moreover, the tracking of incoming and outgoing goods lacks consistency, further impacting inventory accuracy. Additionally, the generation of reports relies on manual processes, resulting in prolonged report completion times. To address these issues, this study developed a comprehensive inventory website aimed at enhancing the company's inventory management. The website serves as a platform to monitor incoming and outgoing goods, providing real-time visibility into stock levels. The development approach chosen for this endeavor was the Waterfall method, known for its systematic and structured nature. The outcomes of this research encompass the successful creation of an inventory website that proficiently records and manages incoming and outgoing goods data. The website also facilitates the automated generation of accurate purchase and sales reports, significantly reducing the time required for this task. Thorough testing, employing blackbox testing techniques, confirmed the robust functionality of the website, with all components performing effectively
Elevating 'TutorYuk' Online Peer Tutoring Services Through Information System: A Design Thinking Framework Approach
Through applications supporting informal education services, the development of information technology during the fourth industrial revolution has promoted the growth of the education industry in Indonesia. This study uses the Design Thinking framework to design and analyze information systems for the online peer tutoring services known as TutorYuk. The stages in system design are as follows: empathize stage, namely the process of identifying user needs and classifying practical problems related to requirements in the informal education sector; define the location, analyze the priority of user needs and issues that need to be solved through information systems; the idea stage, the process of networking aspirations related to solutions to problems in the education sector that shows the urgency of system design; prototype stage, design system flow and function and visualization of application interfaces; Testing stage, testing system performance. The findings of this study demonstrate that TutorYuk is built to suit student needs for learning help based on course names and instructor qualities chosen by users. The duration and experience of the instructor are considered when providing tutoring services so that they can be tailored to the client's needs. Consequently, by offering digital media to service suppliers (tutors) and service recipients, TutorYuk can become a commercially successful application (tutees)
Evaluation of Integration and Human Resources in Information Technology Governance using COBIT 2019: PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia Tanjung Priok Branch
The Tanjung Priok Branch of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia is a state-owned enterprise fully owned by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, representing the Republic of Indonesia. Despite its commitment to governance, the branch encounters certain deficiencies. These include challenges related to system optimization, hindering the realization of effective processes. Moreover, there's a recognized need to enhance the expertise of the workforce to better leverage existing knowledge assets. To address these concerns, a comprehensive study focused on the IT governance of the Tanjung Priok Branch was conducted. The research employed the COBIT 2019 framework to evaluate the IT governance landscape. The investigation pinpointed areas requiring attention and enhancement within the organization. Notably, three key domains emerged as pertinent: APO08 - Managed Relationship, APO11 - Managed Quality, and BAI08 - Managed Knowledge. The assessment revealed noteworthy insights into the organization's IT governance structure. The evaluation of the APO08 process indicated that its performance fell short of the anticipated target, remaining at level 3. On the other hand, the APO11 process achieved the desired level, reaching level 4 and demonstrating significant progress. Similarly, the BAI08 process attained level 4, successfully meeting the intended target. These findings shed light on areas of accomplishment as well as those requiring further attention. To propel the Tanjung Priok Branch of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia towards its envisioned level of excellence, it's imperative to address the identified gaps and build upon the areas of success. This strategic approach will pave the way for the realization of optimized IT governance, efficient processes, and empowered human resources, aligning with the organization's overarching objectives
Factors Affecting Career Preferences and Pathways: Insights from IT Students
The selection of an appropriate career path plays a pivotal role in shaping students' futures and can greatly enhance their employability prospects. By making well-informed decisions, students can align their educational pursuits with their professional aspirations, ensuring a seamless transition from academia to the workforce. This study aims to investigate the career choices of IT students within the Department of ICT. Through an analysis of the career choices made by students in these specific areas, the research seeks to uncover the underlying factors that influence their decision-making processes. By examining the career preferences of IT students, this research endeavor seeks to provide valuable insights into the motivations, interests, and aspirations that drive their choice of specialization. Additionally, it aims to explore how external factors, such as industry trends, job market demands, and personal experiences, impact their decision-making. Understanding these factors can offer valuable guidance to educational institutions, curriculum developers, and career advisors, enabling them to provide tailored support and guidance to IT students, thus facilitating more informed career decisions. Ultimately, the findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the career preferences and pathways within the IT field. This knowledge can aid educators and institutions in developing relevant and responsive curricula, fostering an environment that nurtures students' talents and equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge for their chosen career paths. Additionally, it can assist students in making informed choices that align with their passions and long-term goals, ultimately enhancing their employability and success in the dynamic and ever-evolving IT industry
Cybersecurity Cloud-Based Online Learning: A Literature Review Approach
Cloud-based online learning is the electronic learning activity that supports teaching and learning (T&L) that could be done from anywhere and in the world. Some of its benefits are scalability and affordability that could in a decision-making support on the mechanisms of material selection. Cloud computing has been adopted by most universities around the world. In this regard, lecturers and students will use it to facilitate T&L; however, due to concerns of information technology or systems security, cloud-based online learning users are also not immune. In this regard, the users could be affected by different cybersecurity attacks. In this paper, a systematic literature review method was used to sift the different models and solutions used to address the cybersecurity concerns surrounding cloud-based online learning. A brief Likert-scale questionnaire was used to obtained data that could corroborate the systematic literature findings. In this regard, a group of 20 online learning designers were sampled as participants. It was found that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability issues are a concern. This led to issues of security awareness, authentication and blended attacks being issues. In this regard, a cloud-based online learning model is not immune from security issues. In this paper, a conceptual framework as the line-of-defense is proposed as a solution towards having a cybersecure cloud based online learning

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the pervasive growth of social media platforms has resulted in an era of unprecedented data generation. These platforms are responsible for generating vast volumes of data on a daily basis, forming intricate webs of patterns and connections that harbor invaluable insights crucial for informed decision-making. Recognizing the significance of exploring social media data, researchers have increasingly turned their attention towards leveraging this data to address a wide array of social research issues. Unlike conventional data collection methods such as questionnaires, interviews, or focus groups, social media data presents unique challenges and opportunities, demanding specialized techniques for its extraction and analysis. However, the absence of a standardized and systematic approach to collect and preprocess social media data remains a gap in the field. This gap not only compromises the quality and credibility of subsequent data analysis but also hinders the realization of the full potential inherent in social media data. This paper aims to bridge this gap by presenting a comprehensive framework designed for the systematic extraction and processing of social media data. The proposed framework offers a clear, step-by-step methodology for the extraction and processing of social media data for analysis. In an era where social media data serves as a pivotal resource for understanding human behavior, sentiment, and societal dynamics, this framework offers a foundational toolset for researchers and practitioners seeking to harness the wealth of insights concealed within the vast expanse of social media data
Innovating Information Management System for Cow's Milk Distributor
This study explores the recent advancements in cattle farming, focusing on the significant role of dairy farming in bolstering the economy, particularly in rural communities. It highlights how dairy farming enhances the economic value for farmers, with an emphasis on Banyuanyar Boyolali, where residents predominantly engage in this practice. The research underscores the profitability of selling cow's milk, noting the local milk prices, and aims to develop a web-based milk data management system. This system seeks to bring transparency and accessibility to milk production data, benefiting both farmers and collectors. Utilizing the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which involves minimal personnel, the study demonstrates how this web-based system streamlines data entry and access, facilitating better record-keeping and decision-making in dairy farming
Usage of Gamification and Mobile Application to Reduce Food Loss and Waste: A Case Study of Indonesia
Food loss and waste (FLW) are major global issues, and Indonesia has been identified as the world's second-largest contributor to this problem. Bappenas research indicates that FLW in Indonesia, particularly food waste, is increasing annually, with the household sector being the primary source. In response, we developed a gamification mobile application for FLW, drawing on a case study from Cechetti et al. to encourage households to reduce food waste. We tested the application's acceptance using the modified TAM model and analyzed the data using content analysis. Our findings provide insights into the potential of gamification to address FLW in Indonesia and contribute to environmental sustainability
