    Search for the Rare Decay (Formula Presented) in Proton-Proton Collisions at (Formula Presented)

    A search for the rare decay (Formula presented) is reported using proton-proton collision events at (Formula presented) collected by the CMS detector in 2022-2023, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of (Formula presented). This is the first analysis to use a newly developed inclusive dimuon trigger, expanding the scope of the CMS flavor physics program. The search uses (Formula presented) mesons obtained from (Formula presented) decays. No significant excess is observed. A limit on the branching fraction of (Formula presented) at 95% confidence level is set. This is the most stringent upper limit set on any flavor changing neutral current decay in the charm sector. © 2025 CERN, for the CMS Collaboration

Here, the cross section ratio of excited (psi(2S)) and ground state (J/psi) vector mesons is measured as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity in proton-lead (pPb) collisions at a center-of-mass (CM) energy per nucleon pair of 8.16 TeV. The data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 175 nb(-1) were collected using the CMS detector. The ratio is measured separately for prompt and nonprompt charmonia in the transverse momentum range 6.5 < p(T) < 30 GeV and in four rapidity ranges spanning -2.865 < y(CM) < 1.935. For the first time, a statistically significant multiplicity dependence of the prompt cross section ratio is observed in proton-nucleus collisions. There is no clear rapidity dependence in the ratio. The prompt measurements are compared with a theoretical model which includes interactions with nearby particles during the evolution of the system. This Letter reports the first measurement of the photon-nucleon center-of-mass energy (W-gamma N) dependence of this process in PbPb UPCs at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV, using 1.52 nb(-1) of data recorded by the CMS experiment. The measurement covers a wide W-gamma N range of approximate to 40-400 GeV, probing gluons carrying a fraction x of nucleon momentum down to an unexplored regime of 6.5 x 10(-5). Compared to baseline predictions neglecting nuclear effects, the measured cross sections exhibit significantly greater suppression at lower x. Additionally, the ratio of incoherent to coherent photoproduction is found to be constant across the probed W-gamma N and x range, disfavoring the establishment of the black disk limit.     The Relation of Air Pollution on Morbidity and Mortality of Sars-Cov Infection in Tekirdag, Türkiye

    Background: We aimed to investigate the relation between environmental air pollutants such as Particulate Matter 10 (PM10), Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) on daily cases and deaths associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods: The ecological research examined the correlations of the air quality metrics and the data of COVID-19 cases and deaths from March 1, 2020 to March 1, 2021 in the central District of Tekirda & gbreve; Province in T & uuml;rkiye. Results: During the study period, the average PM10 concentration was 32.57 +/- 17.86 mu g/m3, PM2.5 was 20.68 +/- 11.31 mu g/m3, SO2 was 11.28 +/- 13.42 mu g/m3, and NO2 was 19.07 +/- 7.26 mu g/m3. The SARS-CoV-2 case fatality rate in the study area during this period was 3.2%. Correlation analyses between air pollutants and SARS-CoV-2 cases and deaths revealed significant positive associations between SARS-CoV-2 cases (r=0.220 for PM10, P2.5, P2, P10, P2.5, P2) levels significantly predicted both COVID-19 incidence and mortality. Conclusion: PM10, PM2.5, and SO2, key parameters for assessing air quality, exhibit a positive relationship with the increasing number of daily SARS-CoV-2 cases and daily deaths in the study area.Science Citation Index Expanded - Social Science Citation Inde

    Türkiye Ekonomisi Üzerinde Marshall-Lerner Koşulu ve J Eğrisinin Test Edilmesi: 2013-2024

    Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; Türkiye’de dalgalı kur dönemine geçildikten sonra uygulanan para politikalarının dış ticarete etkisini Marhall-Lerner koşulu ve J eğrisi kullanarak incelemektir. Tasarım/Yöntem: Araştırmada TCMB, Dünya Bankası ve OECD’nin ikincil veri kaynaklarından yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma 2013:1- 2024:6 olmak üzere aylık verilerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak Fourier tipi birim kök, eşbütünleşme testleri ve AARDL yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Analizler sonucunda; Türkiye’de ihracat ve ithalat talep esneklikleri toplamının Marshall-Lerner koşulunu sağlamadığı, yine uzun dönemde dış ticaretin eğiliminin J eğrisinin özelliklerini sağlamadığı görülmüştür. Özetle, ilgili yıllar arasında Türkiye’de Marshall-Lerner koşulu ve J eğrisinin sağlanamadığı görülmüştür. Sınırlılıklar: Türkiye’nin doğrudan İspanya ile yaptığı ihracat ve ithalatın incelenmesi, aynı zamanda 2013:1-2024:6 yılları arasındaki verilerin kullanılması çalışmanın sınırlılığını oluşturmaktadır. Özgünlük/Değer: Bu alanda yapılmış olan çalışmaların çoğunlukla sabit kur dönemini inceleyerek yapıldığı görülmektedir. Yine çalışmalarda farklı analiz yöntemlerinden yararlanıldığı görülmektedir.     Gemini 1.5 Flash Provides the Most Reliable Content While ChatGPT-4o Offers the Highest Readability for Patient Education on Meniscal Tears

    Purpose The aim of this study was to comparatively evaluate the responses generated by three advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models, ChatGPT-4o (OpenAI), Gemini 1.5 Flash (Google) and DeepSeek-V3, to frequently asked patient questions about meniscal tears in terms of reliability, usefulness, quality, and readability. Methods Responses from three AI chatbots, ChatGPT-4o (OpenAI), Gemini 1.5 Flash (Google) and DeepSeek-V3 (DeepSeek AI), were evaluated for 20 common patient questions regarding meniscal tears. Three orthopaedic specialists independently scored reliability and usefulness on 7-point Likert scales and overall response quality using the 5-point Global Quality Scale. Readability was analysed with six established indices. Inter-rater agreement was examined with intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) and Fleiss' Kappa, while between-model differences were tested using Kruskal-Wallis and ANOVA with Bonferroni adjustment. Results Gemini 1.5 Flash achieved the highest reliability, significantly outperforming both GPT-4o and DeepSeek-V3 (p = 0.001). While usefulness scores were broadly similar, Gemini was superior to DeepSeek-V3 (p = 0.045). Global Quality Scale scores did not differ significantly among models. In contrast, GPT-4o consistently provided the most readable content (p 0.9). Conclusion All three AI models generated high-quality educational content regarding meniscal tears. Gemini 1.5 Flash demonstrated the highest reliability and usefulness, while GPT-4o provided significantly more readable responses. These findings highlight the trade-off between reliability and readability in AI-generated patient education materials and emphasise the importance of physician oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based integration of these tools into clinical practice.Science Citation Index Expande

    Dersim (Tunceli) Müziğinde Diasporanın Etkileri: Mikail Aslan Örneği

    Bu tez çalışması, Dersim müziğinin diaspora bağlamında geçirdiği kültürel, estetik ve kimliksel dönüşümleri Mikail Aslan'ın sanat pratiği üzerinden incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tez kapsamında şu temel sorulara yanıt aranmıştır: Diaspora deneyimi Dersim müziğinin yapısal ve tematik unsurlarını nasıl etkilemiştir? Mikail Aslan'ın müzikal üretiminde diasporik ögeler hangi düzlemlerde görünür hale gelmiştir? Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemleri temel alınmış; literatür taraması, etnografik gözlem ve yapılandırılmış söyleşilerden elde edilen veriler etnomüzikolojik bir perspektifle değerlendirilmiştir. Dersim'in tarihsel olarak maruz kaldığı zorunlu göç, kültürel asimilasyon ve kimlik baskılarının müziğe yansıma biçimleri, diaspora kavramının kavramsal çerçevesi ile birlikte tartışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, Mikail Aslan'ın Almanya'daki sanat hayatı boyunca ortaya koyduğu müzikal üretimler hem yerel hafızanın taşıyıcısı hem de çokkültürlü etkileşimlerin ürünü olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Tezde ulaşılan bulgular, diaspora deneyiminin sadece bir kopuş değil; aynı zamanda kültürel belleğin yeniden inşasına olanak sağlayan yaratıcı bir alan olduğunu göstermektedir. Aslan'ın müziğinde çok dilli repertuvar kullanımı (Zazaca, Türkçe, Kürtçe, Ermenice), geleneksel halk ezgilerinin modern orkestrasyonlarla harmanlanması, sözlü kültürle dijital kayıt tekniklerinin buluşturulması ve müziğin bir kimlik inşası aracı olarak konumlandırılması dikkat çekmektedir. Sanatçının hem bireysel hem kolektif düzlemde kimliksel bir dönüşümü mümkün kıldığı, diaspora hafızasını canlı tutan bir müzikal anlatı geliştirdiği saptanmıştır. Bu yönüyle çalışma, diaspora-müzik ilişkisine dair literatüre katkı sağlamayı hedeflemekte; aynı zamanda Dersim müziği gibi yerel kültürel ifadelerin, küresel bağlamlarda nasıl evrildiğini anlamaya yönelik önemli bir örnek sunmaktadır. The study addresses the following core questions: How has the diaspora experience influenced the structural and thematic elements of Dersim music? In what dimensions do diasporic elements manifest in Mikail Aslan's musical production? The research adopts qualitative methods, with data gathered through literature review, ethnographic observation, and structured interviews, analyzed from an ethnomusicological perspective. The study explores how Dersim's historical experiences of forced migration, cultural assimilation, and identity suppression are reflected in its music, framed within the conceptual lens of diaspora. Accordingly, Mikail Aslan's musical works produced during his artistic career in Germany are evaluated as both a carrier of local memory and a product of multicultural interactions. The findings suggest that the diaspora experience is not merely a rupture but also a creative space enabling the reconstruction of cultural memory. Notable aspects of Aslan's music include the use of a multilingual repertoire (Zazaki, Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian), the blending of traditional folk melodies with modern orchestrations, the integration of oral culture with digital recording techniques, and the positioning of music as a tool for identity construction. The artist is found to facilitate identity transformation on both individual and collective levels, developing a musical narrative that keeps diaspora memory alive. In this regard, the study contributes to the literature on the diaspora-music relationship while offering a significant case study for understanding how local cultural expressions, such as Dersim music, evolve in global contexts

Bu tür kazılarda zemin stabilitesini sağlamak amacıyla iksa sistemleri kullanılmakta olup, özellikle eğimli arazilerde, kayma ve göçme riski taşıyan zeminlerin korunması ve bodrum katlı yapıların temellerinin güvenli bir şekilde yerleştirilmesi için oldukça büyük öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışma, ankrajlı fore kazıklı derin kazı destekleme sisteminin etkin kullanımını ve zemin deformasyonlarının izlenmesinin önemini incelemektedir. Sonlu elemanlar yöntemi (FEM) ile modellenen sistemdeki potansiyel deformasyonlar, saha inklinometre ölçümleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Zemin verileri, raporlardan ve laboratuvar deneylerinden alınarak belirlenen parametrelerle tasarımda kullanılmış, iksa sistemi PLAXIS programı üzerinden modellenmiştir. Zeminin malzeme modelleri oluşturulmuş ve yatay deformasyonlar ile saha ölçümleri arasındaki farkların sebepleri araştırılmış, bu farkların nedenleri geri analizler aracılığıyla ortaya konulmuştur. Sayısal analiz ve saha ölçümleri, iksa sisteminin yatay deformasyonları etkin bir şekilde kontrol altında tuttuğunu ve güvenli bir tasarım sağladığını ortaya koymuştur. İnklinometre ölçümleri, deformasyonların izlenmesi konusunda önemli bir doğrulama aracı olmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular, derin kazı uygulamalarında iksa sistemlerinin başarısını ve zemin parametrelerinin tasarımda ne kadar önemli olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Sonuçlar, iksa sistemlerinin tasarımında ve inşaat sürecinde güvenliği artıran önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır
