Get PDFOne of the primary and most typical features of a piece of architecture is its stability, its fixed and anchored state. It is therefore surprising and, at the same time, aesthetically inspiring and intellectually exciting when buildings are moved. In the present study I examine the agency of transportation and the aesthetic consequences of such translocations in three art projects. First, I analyse the work of the Norwegian Marianne Heske, the Georgian Vajiko Chachkhiani, and the Finn Anssi Pulkkinen. I lay out the aesthetic implications of the transformative decontextualization caused by the relocation of the original structure. In the second part of the paper, I present the main aspects that connect these otherwise different projects and explain why the complex and costly transportation of these pieces of architecture is relevant and justified

Az örmény katonai összeomlást és a teljes örmény lakosság elmenekülését csak a saját érdekeit érvényesítő Oroszország beavatkozása tette elkerülhetővé. Azeri részről óriási összegekkel zajlik a visszatért területek gazdasági és társadalmi reintegrációja, miközben örmény és arcahi részről a terület működtetését próbálják biztosítani a gyökeresen megváltozott térségi viszonyok között.
The Second Karabakh War have significantly worsened the prospects of ethnic Armenian state-building in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in late 2020. Although Moscow had its own interests with the move, it was only the Russian political intervention that both impeded the total collapse of the Armenian military and allowed the majority of the ethnic Armenian population of Artsakh to remain in their homes. Since then, Azerbaijan has been investing a vast amount of money into the economic and social reintegration of the Liberated Territories, while Armenia and Artsakh have been trying to procede amid the drastically changed regional circumstances

No full textThis article examines Hungarian foreign relations toward Latin America in the period between the end of World War II and the victory of the Cuban Revolution and characterizes the problems raised by the general guidelines of Hungarian foreign policy toward the region. It seeks to answer the following questions: What political influences triggered Hungary’s turn toward Latin America? Is it possible to distinguish subperiods with independent characteristics within the analyzed period, and if so, what were the incentives of the subperiods? The article also analyzes the extent to which the fluctuations in Soviet–Latin American relations influenced the development of Hungarian trade and diplomatic relations, and how it reshaped Hungarian interest in the region
