AIR POLLUTION AND PUBLIC HEALTH: EXAMINING THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PM2.5 LEVELS AND RESPIRATORY DISEASES IN MAJOR CITIES IN NIGERIA
Air pollution poses a significant and escalating public health challenge in rapidly urbanizing regions, particularly in developing countries. This study investigates the correlation between ambient PM2.5 (particulate matter with diameter ≤2.5 micrometers) levels and the prevalence of respiratory diseases in major Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Kano. Leveraging air quality monitoring data from 2018 to 2023 alongside hospital records and public health reports, we employed a mixed-methods approach combining geospatial analysis, regression modeling, and health impact assessments to quantify the relationship between PM2.5 exposure and incidence rates of respiratory illnesses such as asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The findings reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between elevated PM2.5 concentrations and increased respiratory morbidity, particularly among vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly. Seasonal variations and proximity to industrial or high-traffic zones further intensified health risks. This study underscores the urgent need for national air quality standards, improved emission control policies, and targeted public health interventions. Strengthening environmental monitoring infrastructure and integrating air pollution mitigation into Nigeria’s urban development strategy are crucial steps toward safeguarding population health and achieving environmental justice
Technological Capabilities of a Large Solar Facility
This study investigates the technological capabilities of a large-scale solar power facility,
addressing a knowledge gap in comprehensive performance assessments beyond simple energy
generation. Using a mixed-methods approach combining real-time operational data analysis with
advanced modeling techniques, we assessed the facility’s energy conversion efficiency, grid
integration stability, and operational resilience under varying environmental conditions. Key
findings reveal peak efficiency levels exceeding industry benchmarks and robust grid stability even
during periods of intermittent sunlight. However, results also indicate vulnerabilities in operational
resilience due to reliance on specific weather forecasting models. The implications of this research
highlight the need for sophisticated monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies, informing the
design and operation of future large solar facilities for enhanced reliability and optimized energy

THE INFLUENCE OF THE METHOD OF MATERIAL COLLECTION ON THE RESULTS OF CYTOMORPHOLOGICAL EXAMINATION IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF NEOPLASMS OF THE ORAL MUCOSA
The oral mucosa and underlying tissues have a complex anatomical structure, which determines the specificity of the clinical course and treatment of tumors developing here. Malignant tumors that occur in the oral cavity, in most cases, have a structure of squamous cell keratinizing cancer. In a dental clinic, diagnostics of precancerous and tumor changes presents serious difficulties, the main reason for which is the low oncological alertness of dentists, as well as the lack of the necessary equipment and modern minimally invasive methods for early detection of cancer. Histological examination is rarely used in dentistry, since it involves the intravital collection of pathological tissue (biopsy) and has a number of disadvantages associated with the work with a sharp instrument, the possibility of bleeding, errors in collecting material, and the duration of waiting for the result from the pathologist. Considering the external localization of neoplasms of the ORAL MUCOSA and KCG, the procedure for collecting material for cytological examination is simple and highly sensitive (the sensitivity of the methodis 90-95%).Aim: assessment of the possibility of cytological diagnostics in the practical activities of a dentist and the influence of various methods of collecting material on the results of morphological analysis.Materials and methods of research. A total of 114 samples from 38 patients who sought dental care with complaints of neoplasms in the oral cavity were analyzed. Material from each patient was collected in three ways with subsequent cytological examination.Results. The obtained results indicate that the lowest percentage of detection of malignant changes in the cells of patients was observed with self-washing from the oral mucosaes, and the highest percentage of pathologically altered cells was detected when collecting material using the smear print method. The obtained results of the cytological study were compared with the histological data, where various percentage matches were revealed depending on the method of collecting the material. Conclusion: the use of the cytological method of research in dental practice with adequate material collection allows to identify malignant changes in cells in more than 80% of cases.EUROPEAN JOURNAL OFMODERNMEDICINEAND PRACTICEVol. 5No. 1(Jan-2025) EJMMPISSN: 2795-921

Development of Logical Thinking in Preschool Age Children through Quantitative Tasks
The article analyzes how preschool children canuse quantitative tasks to build their logical thinking abilities. Early cognitive development needs logical reasoning since it helps children both identify patterns and understand causal connections followed by independent conclusion making. The research investigates the pedagogical together with psychological principles regarding how quantifier language elements assist students in problem-solving and skill development. The examined research shows interactive teaching methods using didactic games together with structured play that promotes logical learning activities for children. Dienesh geometric blocks serve educational purposes because they support students in developing analytical and abstract thinking capabilities. A planned organizational method for logical exercises leads to development of cognitive skills with maintained student interest. The research establishes that intellectual growth of children depends heavily upon using structured learning strategies which develop their reasoning abilities andskills for problem solving. Preschool educators should apply these methods because they create a solid intellectual base which prepares students for academic success in the coming years. Logic emerges from early age training and educational practice so practitioners need to initiate sustained awareness programs to support children's intellectual development
