Data associated with the publication: Does chatting with chatbots improve language learning performance? A meta-analysis of chatbot-assisted language learning
Given the importance of conversation practice in language learning, chatbots, especially ChatGPT, have attracted considerable attention for their ability to converse with learners using natural language. This review contributes to the literature by examining the currently unclear overall effect of using chatbots on language learning performance and comprehensively identifying important study characteristics that affect the overall effectiveness. We meta-analyzed 70 effect sizes from 28 studies, using robust variance estimation. The effects were assessed based on 18 study characteristics about learners, chatbots, learning objectives, context, communication/interaction, and methodological and pedagogical designs. Results indicated that using chatbots produced a positive overall effect on language learning performance (g = 0.486), compared to non-chatbot conditions. Moreover, four characteristics (i.e., educational level, language level, interface design, and interaction capability) affected the overall effectiveness. In an in-depth discussion on how the 18 characteristics are related to the effectiveness, future implications for practice and research are presented

Data associated with publication: CGPart: A part segmentation dataset based on 3D computer graphics models
This archive stores the synthetic images with part annotations from CGPart. CGPart is a comprehensive part segmentation dataset that provides detailed annotations on 3D CAD models, synthetic images, and real test images (https://qliu24.github.io/#Projects
). CGPart involves five vehicle categories: car, motorbike, aeroplane, bus, and bicycle. For each category, we rendered 30 000 to 40 000 synthetic images by varying the rendering parameters and automatically generated the part segmentation ground-truth. Here, we crop the original images based on the object bounding boxes and resize the images to have longer edge equal 800 pixels. Content is in split 2GB .zip that can be recombined with 7-Zip or similar programs
PMA Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa, Kongo Central) Phase 2 Client Exit Interview (2021)
PMA Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa & Kongo Central) Phase 2 Client Exit Interview Baseline Survey includes 57 enumeration areas (EAs) in Kinshasa and 57 EAs in Kongo Central selected using a multi-stage stratified cluster design. The results are representative at the provincial level. The final sample included 58 clients in Kinshasa and 25 clients in Kongo Central who completed the interview. PMA Burkina Faso Phase 4 Household and Female Survey (2024)
PMA Burkina Faso Phase 4 Household and Female survey collects data on knowledge, practice, and coverage of family planning services in 167 enumeration areas (EAs) selected using a multi-stage stratified cluster design with urban-rural strata. The results are representative at the national level and in the urban/rural areas. Results from Centre region are representative of the urban environment only and results from the Hauts-Bassins region are representative of the region and the urban/rural areas. The final sample included 5,306 households and 6,089 de facto women who completed the interviews for the cross-sectional survey. The data was collected between December 2023 and February 2024Phase 4 panel data were collected among 7,936 women from Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 who consented to follow-up and aged 15-49y at Phase 4. 70.1% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 1 between December 2019 and February 2020, 16% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 2 between December 2020 and March 2021 and 13.9% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 3 between December 2021 and February 2022. Of the 7,936 women eligible for the panel survey at Phase 4, 26.4% of were not reached for follow-up at Phase 4. Of those reached, 4,592 (57.9%) completed the survey, for a response rate of 96.2% among contacted women. PMA2020 Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) Round 1 Household & Female Survey (2014)
Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) Round 1 Household and Female (HQFQ) survey data collection used a representative urban sample in Kinshasa. A sample of 60 enumeration areas (EA) was drawn (PPS). For each EA, 30 households were selected. Households were systematically sampled using random selection. Households with eligible females of reproductive age (15-49) were contacted and consented for interviews. The final sample included 1. 813 completed households, and 2, 132 completed de facto females. Data collection was conducted between October 2013 and January, 2014. PMA Ethiopia 2022 Cross-section Service Delivery Point Survey
PMA Ethiopia Service Delivery Point (SDP) 2022 Cross-sectional survey used a two-stage cluster design with urban-rural, major regions as strata. A total of 162 enumeration areas (EAs) selected from the master sample frame of the Central Statistical Agency. For each EA, all public SDPs that served the EA and up to 3 private facilities were selected. Due to the ongoing security issues, a total of 23 facilities in the Oromiya region could not reached for the survey. The final sample included 504 SDPs which completed the interview. Data collection was conducted between October 2022 and February 2023. PMA2020 Ghana Round 4 Household & Female Survey (2015)
Ghana Round 4 Household and Female (HQFQ) survey used a two-stage cluster design with urban and rural, major ecological zones as the strata. A sample of 100 enumeration areas (EAs) was drawn by the Ghana Statistical Service from its master sampling frame. For each EA, 42 households were randomly selected using a random number generator. Occupants in selected households were enumerated and eligible females of reproductive age (15-49) were contacted and consented for interview. Data collection was conducted between May and June, 2015. The final sample of completed households included 4,053 households in 100 EAs and 5,185 completed female interviews among de facto females. PMA2020 Uganda Round 6 Household & Female Survey (2018)
Uganda Round 6 Household and Female (HQFQ) survey used a two-stage cluster design with urban-rural and region as strata. The project used the same set of 110 enumeration areas (EAs) as those that were selected in the previous round and drawn by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics from its master sampling frame. In each EA and households were listed and mapped, with 44 households randomly selected. Households were surveyed and occupants enumerated. All eligible females age 15 to 49 were contacted and consented for interviews. The final sample included 4,559 households and 4,288 de facto females.
