PMA2020 Nigeria Round 4 Service Delivery Point Survey (2017)
No full textNigeria (National) Round 4 Service Delivery Point (SQ) survey used a three-stage sampling approach within a sample of seven states - Anambra, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Nasarawa, Rivers, Taraba. One state per zone was selected using probability proportional to size from among each of Nigeria’s six zones. The seventh state (Kaduna) was allocated to the northwest zone. A total of 284 clusters of enumeration areas (EAs) were drawn from the National Population Commission’s master sampling frame. In each cluster of EAs, households and private health facilities were listed and mapped; public facilities were included if a selected EA fell within the catchment area. Private facilities were included if they fell within the boundaries of the EA. The final sample included 718 SDPs. Data collection was conducted between April and May 2016 in all states. A sample of 221 enumeration areas (EAs) was drawn by the Central Statistical Agency from its master sampling frame. Each EA was listed and mapped. Public facilities were included if a selected EA fell within the catchment area. Private facilities were included if they fell within the boundaries of the EA. Data collection was conducted between April and May, 2015. The final completed sample in Ethiopia Round 1 was 445 SDPs. No full textPMA Kenya COVID-19 Female Follow-up (FQFU) phone survey was conducted in 11 counties in June 2020 among females aged 15-49 at the time of the COVID-19 Survey who were interviewed at the PMA Kenya Phase 1 survey, consented to follow-up and owned or had access to a phone (68% of the Phase 1 population). Of the 6,377 eligible respondents, 5.1% were not reached. Of those reached, 5,986 completed the survey for a response rate of 93.9% among contacted women

No full textPMA Côte d’Ivoire Phase 4 Household and Female survey collects information on knowledge, practices and coverage of family planning services in 122 enumeration areas using a multi-stage stratified cluster design with urban-rural strata. The results are representative at the national level and within urban/rural strata. Data were collected between November 2023 and February 2024 from 834 households (96.0% response rate) and 1,187 women aged 15 to 49 (95.3% response rate).Phase 4 panel data were collected among 1,213 women from Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 who consented to follow-up and aged 15-49y at Phase 4. 73.0% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 1 between December 2019 and January 2020, 10.6% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 2 between December 2020 and January 2021, and 16.4% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 3 between December 2021 and January 2022. Of the 1213 women eligible for the panel survey at Phase 4, 19.2% of were not reached for follow-up. Of those reached, 976 (80.5%) completed the survey, for a response rate of 99.8% among contacted women. One state per zone was selected using probability proportional to size from among each of Nigeria’s six zones. The seventh state (Kaduna) was allocated to the northwest zone. A total of 302 clusters of enumeration areas (EAs) were drawn from the National Population Commission’s master sampling frame. In each cluster of EAs, households and private health facilities were listed and mapped; 35 households (40 in Lagos) were selected per cluster of EAs. Occupants in selected households were enumerated and eligible females of reproductive age (15-49) were contacted and consented for interview. The final sample included 10,131 households and 10,957 females. Data collection was conducted between May and June 2016 in all states. No full textPMA Ethiopia Panel Cohort 1: 6-month Follow-up survey followed women who were eligible to remain in the Panel Cohort 1 study and did not refuse to follow-up at their previous interview. Women who were 5-9 weeks postpartum at baseline who consented to follow-up; women who are pregnant or 0-4 weeks postpartum at baseline, completed the 6-week follow-up survey, and Women pregnant or 0-4 weeks postpartum at baseline, who consented to the 6-week follow up, and had incomplete 6-week forms with results other than “Refused” or “Respondent died” were included in this survey. A total of 2,418 mother or caregivers completed the 6-month follow-up survey. Panel women could become ineligible for 6-month follow-up if they refused follow-up at some point, died, or had no live births.
