GNSS Total Electron Content Data (60 s) at Bjørnøya in 2022
This data set contains Total Electron Content data at 60 seconds time resolution from Bjørnøya, Svalbard.
The measurements were collected by the University of Bergen using a NovAtel GPStation-6 global navigation satellite system receiver. The measurements include signals from GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO at different frequencies. These data are used for research on space weather disturbances in the polar ionosphere.

Replication Data for: The long and the short of it: Russian predicate adjectives with zero copula
Description of Dataset
This is a study of examples of Russian predicate adjectives in clauses with zero-copula present tense, where the adjective is a short form (SF) or a long form nominative (LF). The data was collected in 2022 from SynTagRus (https://universaldependencies.org/treebanks/ru_syntagrus/index.html), the syntactic subcorpus of the Russian National Corpus (https://ruscorpora.ru/new/).
The data merges the results of several searches conducted to extract examples of sentences with long form and short form adjectives in predicate position, as identified by the corpus. The examples were imported to a spreadsheet and annotated manually, based on the syntactic analyses given in the corpus. For present tense sentences with no copula (Река спокойна or Река спокойная), it was necessary to search for an adjective as the top (root) node in the syntactic structure. In order for the R code to run from these files, one needs to set up an R project with the data files in a folder named "data" and the R markdown files in a folder named "scripts".

The present article presents an empirical investigation of the choice between so-called long (e.g., prostoj ‘simple’) and short forms (e.g., prost ‘simple’) of predicate adjectives in Russian based on data from the syntactic subcorpus of the Russian National Corpus. The data under scrutiny suggest that short forms represent the dominant option for predicate adjectives. It is proposed that long forms are descriptions of thematic participants in sentences with no complement, while short forms may take complements and describe both participants (thematic and rhematic) and situations. Within the “space of competition” where both long and short forms are well attested, it is argued that the choice of form to some extent depends on subject type, gender/number, and frequency. On the methodological level, the approach adopted in the present study may be extended to other cases of competition in morphosyntax. It is suggested that one should first “peel off” contexts where (nearly) categorical rules are at work, before one undertakes a statistical analysis of the “space of competition”.</p
Replication Data for: From machine learning to classroom learning: mobile vowels and the Russian preposition v ‘in(to)’
The present study reports on a machine learning experiment concerning mobile vowels in the Russian preposition v ‘in(to)’. Data are extracted from the Russian National Corpus.
It is shown that a neural network is able to predict mobile vowels in 97.4% of the cases in our dataset, and a decision tree is used to extract a set of three rules that a language learner can use to achieve nearly the same level of accuracy. We argue that these rules are valuable from the perspective of language pedagogy, but that some adjustments are necessary in order to make the rules simpler and more precise. Our study lends support to earlier analyses which emphasize the capacity of mobile vowels to prevent sequences of identical segments. We advance the Word Onset Hierarchy, which enables us to evaluate the relative importance of phonological features for mobile vowels and highlights the gradient and asymmetric nature of mobile vowels. It is suggested that machine learning represents a valuable tool for language pedagogy, not only for mobile vowels, but also for other areas of Russian grammar that are challenging for students of Russian as a foreign language.</p

Conductive Metal-covalent Organic Frameworks as Novel Catalytic Platform for Reduction of Nitrate to Ammonia
DATASET MIGRATED FROM FIGSHARE: With their abundant metal sites, ordered porous structure and great conductivity, conductive metal-organic frameworks display many excellent single-atom electrocatalytic activities, superior to conventional inorganic nanostructure. However, their electrochemical application is greatly limited by the fragile coordinated frameworks. Here, we describe a metal-covalent organic frameworks (MCOFs) strategy to construct nitrate reduction (RNA) catalyst using M3∙HATN as the subgroup. Assisted by salt-template, M-HATN-COFs with abundant metal sites (M at% ≈ 12.5 %) are achieved by a one-step coordination-condensation approach. More importantly, the M-HATN-COFs provide a reasonable platform for studying of metal-atom catalytic mechanism, surpassing the current inorganic structures. The Mo-HATN-COFs exhibit outstanding electrocatalytic properties with a high ammonia yield rate (8.52 mg h−1 cm−2), FE (91.3 %) and stability for RNA reaction. As the first work of MCOFs for electrochemical NRA, the M-HATN-COFs strategy will innovate the design concept of next-generation catalyst and catalytic mechanism of single-metal-atom.</p

DATASET MIGRATED FROM FIGSHARE: Article Abstract - Related PublicationThis study presents results from small-scale experiments on the rapid phase transition of pressurized liquefied carbon dioxide in a vertical tube. The main motivation for the study was to provide reference data for the source terms in 1-D phase transition models. In addition a phase transition rate estimate and an energy estimate is presented. To initiate the test runs, a diaphragm was ruptured which led to the expansion towards atmospheric pressure and rapid boiling of the superheated liquid. The main contributions were the calculated front velocities and bulk flow velocities. Evaporation waves were observed, propagating with a velocity of 30±0.5 m/s into the superheated liquid. The initial pre-rupture condition was saturated liquid at ambient temperatures (19-21C). The pressure reduction in the bottom during the boiling period was typically 8 bar (reduction from 56 to 48 barg). Due to the high pre-rupture pressure, the tube was made of polycarbonate. High speed images showed that the tube surface was not sufficiently smooth to suppress heterogeneous nucleation entirely. Consequently, the evaporation wave front was rather diffuse, mainly caused by upstream wall nucleation. This limited the degree of superheat, hence homogenous bulk nucleation was not observed. A contact surface between the vapor and vapor-liquid phases was observed, accelerating out of the tube with a velocity of 90±5 m/s. A liquid layer front propagated with a constant velocity of 8.0±0.1 m/s. Gas bubbles in the upstream liquid bulk moved with a constant velocity of about 5 m/s after passage of the rarefaction wave.</p

The dataset is from the project "Bedre verktøy" (Better tools) with the purpose of evaluating psychometric properties of two instruments used to assess children's psychosocial functioning and listening performance:
The Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) (Goodman et al., 2000) and the Parents’ Evaluation of Aural/ Oral Performance of Children (PEACH+) (Ching & Hill, 2007).
The sample consists of parent reports for 295 children aged between 3 and 100 months, on SDQ and PEACH+ as well as on the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL, Rescorla & Achenbach, 2000) for comparison with SDQ scores. The data collection was anonymous.

This dataset contains corpus data used in the paper described below.
The dataset set consists of html-pages that contain the results for corpus searches in the Russian National Corpus (RNC) as described in the methodology of the corresponding paper and in the methodological information of this README file. Furthermore, it contains the scripts that were used to save these html-pages and to extract the relevant information from them. The scripts created csv files which were then imported into a LibreOffice Calc document with the ".ods" extension.Article description:
The present small-scale study compares the usage of the verbal prefix do- in contemporary Russian and Ukrainian using the Ukrainian parallel corpus of the Russian National Corpus. Two datasets were analyzed: In the first one, translations of Russian do- verbs into Ukrainian were analyzed, whereas the second dataset dealt with translations of Ukrainian do- verbs into Russian. The focus of the discussion was on cognate translations with different prefixes.
While the amount of data does not allow any strong conclusions, it is shown that in both languages do- prefixes can express the same meanings, namely REACH, REACH (ABSTRACT), ADD, CONVEY, and, when used together with postfix -sja, EXCESS. As the discussion shows, there is reason to believe that the CONVEY meaning is less productive in Russian where it is used in words restricted to official contexts and in fixed expressions.
A quantitative analysis showed that among cognate translations from Ukrainian into Russian, the prefix was more often different than in translations from Russian into Ukrainian. This can be seen as a further clue for a wider application of Ukrainian do- compared to its Russian counterpart.</p
Supplementary dataset for "Characterization of Human Stem Cell-Derived Hepatic Stellate Cells and Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Cells During Extended in vitro Culture"
The dataset contains confocal immunofluorescence images of human pluripotent stem cell-derived hepatic stellate cells (scHSCs) and human primary HSCs (pHSCs).
In the homeostatic liver, HSCs exist in a quiescent state. Upon liver injury, HSCs differentiate into an activated, myofibroblast-like state. The activated HSCs are phenotypically characterized by the intracellular expression of alpha-smooth muscle actin (a-SMA). Transforming growth factor beta (TGF-b) is a potent HSC activator and is commonly used to assess the activation capacity of cultured HSCs.
In this dataset, scHSCs and pHSCs were grown in vitro and stained with immunofluorescent labels for the HSC marker PDGFR-b as well as the activation-related proteins a-SMA and COL1a1. Image analysis of the dataset was performed to quantify a-SMA fluorescence intensity to assess the activation status of the HSCs in the presence and absence of TGF-b.
