    This data set contains phase and amplitude scintillation data at 60 seconds time resolution at Bjørnøya, Svalbard. The measurements were collected by the University of Bergen using a NovAtel GPStation-6 global navigation satellite system receiver. The measurements include signals from GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO at different frequencies. These data are used for research on space weather disturbances in the polar ionosphere.     NTNU-HARChildren for the Validation of HAR-models for typically developing children and children with Cerebral Palsy

    The data set include 63 typically developing (TD) children and 16 children with Cerebral Palsy(CP), Gross Motor Functions Classification System (GMFCS) I and II wearing two accelerometers, one on the lower back and one on the thigh, together with the corresponding video annotations of activities. The files includes accelerometer signal and annotation for each study subject. The files named 001-120 is individuals with CP, and the files named PM01-16 and TD01-48 are typically developing children. The study protocol was approved by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health research ethics (reference no. nr:2016/707/REK nord) and the Norwegian Center for Research Data (NSD-nr:50683). All participants and guardians signed a written informed consent before being enrolled in the study. The NTNU-HAR-children was used to validate a machine learning model for activity recognition in the paper "Validation of two novel human activity recognition models for typically developing children and children with Cerebral Palsy."     The dataset contains the quantitative data used as input for the Principal Components Analysis conducted in the article "The many guises of productivity: a case-study of Spanish inchoative constructions". The data originates from the Spanish Web Corpus (esTenTen18), accessed via Sketch Engine (Kilgariff & Renau 2013). Only the subcorpus for European Spanish Data was selected. After downloading, the samples were manually cleaned. In the dataset, maximally 500 tokens were retained per auxiliary. The data were annotated for 'Subject', 'AUX', 'Filler', 'Person', 'Tense', 'LexicalTypeInf', SyntaxInf, 'Intercalation', 'Intentionality', and 'Abruptness', besides other criteria that are not taken into account for this study. For this analysis, only the variables auxiliary, abbreviated as 'AUX' and infintive, abbreviated as 'INF' are taken into account.     This dataset contains all the necessary data (including cluster flares locations and flow rate, CTD temperature, salinity and methane concentration, cold coral reefs locations, nodes locations as well as seep locations) for reproducing the results in the associated article: "Contrasting methane seepage dynamics in Hola trough offshore Norway: Insights from two different summers" (19/01/2024) Abstract: This study investigates the temporal variations in methane concentration and flare activity in the Hola trough (offshore Norway) during May 2018 and June 2022. Between these time periods, methane seep activity exhibits 3.5 times increase, as evidenced by hydroacoustic measurements. As the seep area in the Hola trough is constantly within the hydrate stability zone, the observed increase cannot be attributed to migration of its shallow boundary due to temperature increase. However, a decrease in the sediment pore pressure resulting in a combination of an increase in bottom water temperature and low tide conditions is likely to explain the increase in seep observations in June 2022. The hypothesis of tide influence is supported by data collected from a piezometer deployed and recovered during the cruise showing that the tidal effect was observed 3 meters below the seafloor. Despite the numerous methane seeps detected, methane concentration and gas flow rates near the seafloor were low (<19 nM and <70 mL min-1, respectively) compared to other areas with methane seep activity. This is likely due to strong currents rapidly dispersing methane in the water column. Sub-seafloor investigations identified pathways for gas migration in methane seep areas, influenced by topography. This study provides valuable insights into the temporal dynamics of methane concentrations, flare activity, and gas distribution in the Hola trough, contributing to our understanding of offshore methane dynamics in the region

    In order to get a clearer picture of the constructions of grozit’ and grozit’sja, we have put together a database with examples of usages of both words from the Russian National Corpus (RNC). The dataset covers the period from 1800 to 2020 and consists of 473 examples, where 250 are examples of grozit' and 223 of grozit'sja. For 1800-1849, only 23 examples are available for grozit'sja. For all other periods, which in the corpus are represented with a larger number of texts, we extracted a random sample of 50 examples for each 50-year period. All search results were exported and then merged into one spreadsheet. Doublets were manually removed. The data was later tagged for the following properties: Argument structure, type of event (persons/entities as thretener and threatenee), type of threat (verbal/gestural), and consequences (serious or not)

    This dataset contains the quantitative data for the related publication: "Thermal adaptation affects the temperature-dependent toxicity of the insecticide imidacloprid to soil invertebrates". This study is part of the MULTICLIM project, financed by The Research Council of Norway, through the Program of Climate Research (KLIMAFORSK), grant 280843. The data was generated in a long-term laboratory experiment exposing two populations of the Collembola Hypogastrura viatica with contrasting thermal adaptations to sub-lethal concentrations of imidacloprid across a temperature range of 10-25°C, measuring the response in multiple life history traits.Abstract: Terrestrial ectotherms are vulnerable to climate change since their biological rates depend on the ambient temperature. As temperature may interact with toxicant exposure, climate change may cause unpredictable responses to toxic stress. A population´s thermal adaptation will impact its response to temperature change, but also to interactive effects from temperature and toxicants, although this has only rarely been studied. Here, we assessed the combined effects of exposure to the insecticide imidacloprid across the temperatures 10-25°C of two populations of the Collembola Hypogastrura viatica (Tullberg, 1872), by determining their responses in multiple life history traits. The con-specific populations differ considerably in thermal adaptations; one (arctic) is a temperature generalist, while the other (temperate) is a warm-adapted specialist. For both populations, the sub-lethal concentrations of imidacloprid became lethal with increasing temperature. Although the thermal maximum is higher for the warm-adapted population, the reduction in survival was stronger. Growth was reduced by imidacloprid in a temperature-dependent manner, but only at the adult life stage. The decrease in adult body size appears to reflect a trade-off in energy allocation as there was no effect on the age at first reproduction. Egg production was reduced by imidacloprid in both populations, but the negative effect was only dependent on temperature in the warm-adapted population, with no effect at 10°C, and decreases of 41% at 15°C, and 74% at 20°C. For several key traits, the population best adapted to utilize high temperature was also the most sensitive to toxic stress at higher temperatures. It could be that by allocating more energy to faster growth, development and reproduction at higher temperatures, the population had less energy for maintenance, making it more sensitive to toxic stress. Our findings demonstrate the need to take into account a population´s thermal adaptation when assessing the interactive effects between temperature and other stressors

The data from the 21th century originates from the Spanish Web Corpus (esTenTen18), accessed via Sketch Engine. Only the subcorpus for European Spanish Data was selected. After downloading, the samples were manually cleaned. In the dataset, maximally 500 tokens were retained per auxiliary. For the earlier centuries, the data was extracted from the Corpus Diacrónico del Español (Corde). See Spanish_Destruction_Inchoatives_queries_20230306.txt for the specific corpus queries that were used. The data were annotated for the infinitive observed after the preposition 'a' and for the semantic class to which this infinitive belongs, following the existing ADESSE classification (see below), besides other criteria that are not taken into account for this study. Concretely, the variables 'Century', 'Type', 'INF' (infinitive) and 'Class' were used as input for the analysis (see data-specific sections below for more information about the variables).</p
