Existence of positive periodic solutions for delay dynamic equations

    No full text
In this article we study the existence of positive periodic solutions for a dynamic equations on time scales. The main tool employed here is the Schauder's fixed point theorem. The results obtained here extend the work of Olach [12]. Two examples are also given to illustrate this work

In this paper, we present the hyperstability results of cubic functional equations in ultrametric Banach spaces

Total edge irregularity strength of disjoint union of double wheel graphs

    No full text
An edge irregular total k-labeling f : V ∪ E → {1, 2, 3,...,k} of a graph G = (V, E) is a labeling of vertices and edges of G in such a way thatfor any two different edges uv and u'v' their weights f (u) + f (uv) + f (v) and f (u') + f (u'v') + f (v') are distinct. The total edge irregularity strength tes(G) is defined as the minimum k for which the graph G has an edge irregular total k-labeling. In this paper, we determine the total edge irregularity strength of disjoint union of p isomorphic double wheel graphs and disjoint union of p consecutive non-isomorphic double wheel graphs

In this paper, an algorithm is presented to check if a submodule of thefreemodule R [X]s is prime, using Grobner Basis

    Global neighbourhood domination

    No full text
A subset D of vertices of a graph G is called a global neighbourhood dominating set(gnd - set) if D is a dominating set for both G and GN, where GN is the neighbourhood graph of G. The global neighbourhood domination number(gnd - number) is the minimum cardinality of a global neighbourhood dominating set of G and is denoted by γ gn(G). In this paper sharp bounds for γ gn, are supplied for graphs whose girth is greater than three. Exact values ofthis number for paths and cycles are presented as well. The characterization result for a subset ofthe vertex set of G to be a global neighbourhood dominating set for G is given and also characterized the graphs of order n having gnd -numbers 1, 2, n — 1,n — 2, n

Some results on skolem odd difference mean labeling

    No full text
Let G = (V, E) be a graph with p vertices and q edges. A graph G is said to be skolem odd difference mean if there exists a function f : V(G) → {0, 1, 2, 3,...,p+3q — 3} satisfying f is 1-1 and the induced map f * : E(G) →{1, 3, 5,..., 2q-1} defined by f * (e) = [(f(u)-f(v))/2] is a bijection. A graph that admits skolem odd difference mean labeling is called skolem odd difference mean graph. We call a skolem odd difference mean labeling as skolem even vertex odd difference mean labeling if all vertex labels are even. A graph that admits skolem even vertex odd difference mean labeling is called skolem even vertex odd difference mean graph. In this paper we prove that graphs B(m,n) : Pw, (PmõSn), mPn, mPn U tPs and mK 1,n U tK1,s admit skolem odd difference mean labeling. If G(p, q) is a skolem odd differences mean graph then p≥ q. Also, we prove that wheel, umbrella, Bn and Ln are not skolem odd difference mean graph

INTRODUCTION: The perception of stigma towards people with mental disorders has been widely reported in the literature. OBJECTIVE: To study attitude towards mental disorders and to analyze the perceived association among several types of mental illnesses and their possible connection with robbery, sexual abuse, homicides, among others. METHOD: The questionnaires “Community Attitudes toward the Mentally Ill” (CAMI) and “Beliefs about the Relationship between Mental Illness and Crime were applied to a general population composed of 200 people whose ages ranged between 15 and 84 (X= 39.21, DT= 17.37). RESULTS: In general, women show a more positive attitude towards people with mental disorders. People with lower levels of education are more authoritative towards the mentally ill. Psychosis is highly associated with crime whereas depression and anxiety are least associated with any crime. CONCLUSION: The implications of these findings are contrasted with social stigmatization. It is suggested to approach mental disorders with a more comprehensive attitude.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze teachers’ diagnostic observation of ADHD in public primary school students in Arica. METHOD: Teachers of 409 1st to 4th year primary school students answered the ADHD-RS (ADHD-Rating Scale) as well as a rubric of diagnostic observation for each student. Additionally, medical reports of students diagnosed with ADHD were consulted. Finally, binomial contrasts between teachers’ diagnostic observations and medical diagnostic reports were performed considering national and international parameters. RESULTS: Binomial contrasts show students diagnosed with ADHD by teachers and doctors exceed national and international parameters. DISCUSSION: The practical implications of these findings are highlighted, especially for education and health. &nbsp
