OBJECTIVE: To understand the meanings and experiences 15 to19 year-old Mexican and Chilean students have regarding sexual initiation. METHOD: The study was approached from the socio-critical and the interpretivist paradigms as well as from the decolonial feminism perspective (Denzin & Lincon, 2000). The sample was composed of 54 students from public and private schools in Ocotlan and Antofagasta. The analysis was conducted following Montañez’s 2013 Analysis of Discursive Positions. FINDINGS: Chilean and Mexican students share some discursive positions such as the romantic, the normative, the mercantilist, the erotic, and the day-to-day one. CONCLUSIONS: There appears to be a global imaginary of gender in all of Latin America, which might not be fully identical but does share some similarities.

INTRODUCTION: The study analyzes the significance of the experience of being parents of children with hearing impairment. METHOD: The interpretative work is conducted through interviews with two families focused. The information obtained was analyzed by understanding the records, their integration into categories, its definition and interpretation. RESULTS: Three large thematic blocks are appreciated: Family history. Other community and integration and individualism and loneliness; Married life and the place of the child; and the search, which shows how childhood experience of each of the parents, is the footprint on the psychic structure of the child, spousal and parental loop is configured, promoting different ways of sense. DISCUSSION: From psychology, it is possible to provide spaces for listening, sharing towards the development of new meanings of their own history, as well as those that emerge from the breeding and training of a disabled child.INTRODUCCIÓN: El estudio analiza la significación de la experiencia de ser padres de hijos con discapacidad auditiva. &nbsp

    Strongly Bounded Partial Sums

If λ is a scalar sequence space, a series P Zj in a topological vector space Z is λ multiplier convergent in Z if the series P ∞J =1 tj Zj converges in Z for every t = {tj} ∈ λ-If λ satisfies appropriate conditions, a series in a locally convex space X which is λ multiplier convergent in the weak topology is λ multiplier convergent in the original topology ofthe space (the Orlicz-Pettis Theorem) but may fail to be λ multiplier convergent in the strong topology of the space. However, we show under apprpriate conditions on the multiplier space λ that the series will have strongly bounded partial sums

Sum divisor cordial labeling for star and ladder related graphs

A sum divisor cordial labeling of a graph G with vertex set V is a bijection f from V to {1, 2, . . . , |V(G)|} such that an edge uv is assigned the label 1 if 2 divides f (u) + f (v) and 0 otherwise; and the number of edges labeled with 0 and the number of edges labeled with 1 differ by at most 1. A graph with a sum divisor cordial labeling is called a sum divisor cordial graph. In this paper, we prove that D2(K1,n), S' (K1,n), D2(Bn,n), DS(Bn,n), S' (Bn,n), S(Bn,n), < K(1)1,nΔK(2)1,n>, S(Ln), Ln O K1, SLn, TLn, TLn O Ki and CHn are sum divisor cordial graphs

Representation fields for orders of small rank

A representation field for a non-maximal order H in a central simple algebra is a subfield of the spinor class field of maximal orders which determines the set of spinor genera of maximal orders representing H. In our previous work we have proved the existence of the representation field for several important families of suborders, like commutative orders, while we have also found examples where the representation field fails to exist. To be precise, we have found full-rank orders, in central simple algebras of dimension 9 or larger over a suitable field, whose representation field is undefined. In this article, we prove that the representation field is defined for any order H of rank r < 7. This is done by defining representation fields for arbitrary representations of orders into central simple algebra and showing that the computation of these generalized representation fields can be reduced to the case of irreducible representations. The same technique yields the existence of representation fields for any order in an algebra whose semi-simple reduction is commutative. We also construct a rank-8 order, in a 16-dimensional matrix algebra, whose representation field is not defined

    We determine the solutions f : S → H of the generalized Jensen’s functional equation f (x + y) + f (x + φ(y)) = 2f (x),    x,y ∈ S,and the solutions f : S → H of the generalized quadratic functional equation f (x + y) + f (x + φ(y)) = 2f (x) + 2f (y), x,y ∈ S,where S is a commutative semigroup, H is an abelian group (2-torsion free in the first equation and uniquely 2-divisible in the second) and φ is an endomorphism of S

    Realizability by symmetric nonnegative matrices

Let ? = {?1, ?2,...,?n} be a set of complex numbers. The nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem (NIEP) is the problem of determining necessary and sufficient conditions in order that ? may be the spectrum of an entrywise nonnegative n × n matrix. If there exists a nonnegative matrix A with spectrum ? we say that ? is realized by A. If the matrix A must be symmetric we have the symmetric nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem (SNIEP). This paper presents a simple realizability criterion by symmetric nonnegative matrices. The proof is constructive in the sense that one can explicitly construct symmetric nonnegative matrices realizing ?

Let F be a field with characteristic two. We generalize the second trace form for central simple algebras with odd degree over F. We determine the second trace form and the Arf invariant and Clifford invariant for tensor products of central simple algebras

On certain properties of some generalized special functions

    No full text
In this paper, we derive a result concerning eigenvector for the product of two operators defined on a Lie algebra of endomorphisms of a vector space. The results given by Radulescu, Mandal and authors follow as special cases of this result. Further using these results, we deduce certain properties of generalized Hermite polynomials and Hermite Tricomi functions
