Las voces de las mujeres: El incesto y la represión de la sexualidad femenina en Guatemala
Get PDFOBJECTIVE: To contribute for a better comprehension of the incestuous child sex abuse experience narrated by a group of Guatemalan women. METHOD: Seven women, selected with the hidden population method, were interviewed, first individually with an in-depth interview, and then collectively with a focus group. RESULTS: The findings were organized in categories, subcategories and subjective indicators. Theoretical constructs were identified. These constructs open the doors for new ways of psychological intervention. They also revealed cultural, social, emotional and psychological components of the informants’ perception of incestuous child sex abuse. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest culture permeates sexuality, making bodies invisible and repressing women since menarche. The role of mothers shows how incest is deeply rooted as a common practice generation after generation.OBJETIVO: contribuir a una mejor comprensión de la experiencia del abuso sexual infantil incestuoso desde la construcción y vivencias de un grupo de mujeres guatemaltecas. MÉTODO: participaron en la investigación siete mujeres, seleccionadas mediante un muestreo para poblaciones ocultas, las cuales fueron entrevistadas individualmente en profundidad y colectivamente en un grupo focal. RESULTADOS: Los resultados se organizaron en categorías, subcategorías e indicadores de sentido subjetivo. Se identificaron constructos teóricos que posibilitan nuevas formas de intervención en psicología y componentes culturales, sociales, emocionales y psicológicos de su percepción del abuso sexual incestuoso. CONCLUSIÓN: Los hallazgos sugieren que la cultura permea la sexualidad, invisibilizando los cuerpos y reprimiendo a las mujeres desde la menarquía. El rol de la madre muestra lo arraigado generacionalmente que está el incesto, como una práctica común

No full textThe present article investigates the existence of Solutions of the following nonlinear second order coupled system with nonlinear coupled boundary conditions (CBCs) where f1,f2 : [0,1] x R → R, μ: R6 → R2 and υ : R2 →R2 arecontinuous functions. The results presented in [7, 11] are extended in our article. Coupled lower and upper solutions, Arzela-Ascoli theorem and Schauder’s fixed point theorem play an important role in estab-lishing the arguments. Birrepresentations in a locally nilpotent variety
No full textIt is known that commutative algebras satisfying the identity of degree four ((yx)x)x + γ((xx)x) = 0, with γ in the field and γ ≠ —1 are locally nilpotent. In this paper we study the birrepresentations of an algebra A that belongs to a variety ν of locally nilpotent algebras. We prove that if the split null extension of a birrepresentation of an algebra A ∈ ν by a vector space M is locally nilpotent, then it is trivial or reducible. As corollaries we get that if A is finitely generated, then every birrepresentation is trivial or reducible and that every finite-dimensional birrepresentation is equivalent to a birrepre-sentation consisting of strictly upper triangular matrices. We also prove that the multiplicative universal envelope of a finitely generated algebra in V is nilpotent, therefore it is finite-dimensional
