Uniform stabilization of a plate equation with nonlinear localized dissipation
No full textWe study the existence and uniqueness of a plate equation in a bounded domain of R?, with a dissipative nonlinear term, localized in a neighborhood of part of the boundary of the domain. We use techniques from control theory, the unique continuation property and Nakao method to prove the uniform stabilization of the energy of the system with algebraic decay rates depending on the order of the nonlinearity of the dissipative term
Compensators for singular control systems with delays in outputs

The proposed compensators are applied to solve the regulator problem for the mentioned systems with controlled output z(t) = Dx(t)
A note on quasi n-maps

T? in L(X, Y ). First, if ? is a scalar sequence space, we say that the series ? T? is ? multiplier P convergent for a locally convex topology ? on L(X, Y ) if the series ? t?T? is ? convergent for every t = {t?} ? ?. We establish conditions on ? which guarantee that a ? multiplier convergent series in the weak or strong operator topology is ? multiplier convergent in the topology of uniform convergence on the bounded subsets of X. Second, we consider vector valued multipliers. If E is a sequence space of X valued sequences, the series ? T? is E multiplier convergent in a locally convex topology ? on Y if the series ? T?x? is ? convergent for every x = {x?} ? E. We consider a gliding hump property on E which guarantees that a series ? T? which is E multiplier convergent for the weak topology of Y is E multiplier convergent for the strong topology of Y

Computer model for the growth before sporulation of a fungal population on solid substrate
No full textWe show numerical results of a system conformed by two ordinary differential equations coupled with a diffusion equation, arising in a previous model of differentiated growth of fungal biomass governed by the oxygen present at different levels. Using finite differences we solve the diffusion problem and compare the influence of different boundary conditions. Times of biomass changes from vegetative to competent at each depthlevel inside the medium are determined. Calculations of the critical substrate thickness and the distribution of biomass respect to time and depth, are showed. The oxygen flow through the open boundary is also studied
A generalization of variant of Wilson stype Hilbert space valued functional equations

In addition, we investigate a superstability result for these equations
