Effect of negative emotions in consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic: A study from Peru
The research examines the negative consumer emotions generated by the perception of social networks or traditional media with consumer behavior during the covid_19 pandemic. The study was developed in Peru with a sample of 220 consumers; the design is quantitative and structural equations were used for data processing. The results indicate that social networks and traditional media are not related to negative emotions, but are related to the change in consumer behavior in the purchase of more products and new products. The research has theoretical implications since it provides evidence to the literature that the negative emotions generated during the covid_19 pandemic are related to changes in consumer behavior, which affect the purchase of more products and new products. The practical implications of the research is for businessmen on the causes of changes in consumer behavior generated during crises. like the COVID-19 pandemic
The Role of Government Policy Communication (GPC) Quality and Consistency Based on Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) on Entrepreneurship: An Abstract
Hitherto, entrepreneurship government policies aim to motivate entrepreneurial intention (EI) for start-up creation, mainly among young people. Thus, government policy communications (GPC) are the instrument for this knowledge sharing and promotion. However, the study considers that GPC quality and consistency (this last based on the Integrated Marketing Communication -IMC-) could improve the policy knowledge transfer into a higher entrepreneurial intention. The research design is a non-experimental cross-sectional explanatory study. The analysis unit was entrepreneurial young people from Spain with strong entrepreneurial intention in Barcelona’s glocal (global and local) market. The instrument (survey) used prior constructs in the Likert scale, and the calibration was through experts and a pilot test. The data collection obtained a preliminary sample of 132 observations. Then, the analytical procedures focused on multivariate analyses. The instrument’s validity was with Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) & Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and the hypotheses test used a PLS-SEM. Following the results, the GPC quality has a negative mediation effect between entrepreneurship GPC knowledge and entrepreneurial intention relationship while GPC consistency does not affect mentioned relationship. Instead of the above, entrepreneurship GPC knowledge positively affects entrepreneurial intention through GPC quality and consistency. Finally, concerning theoretical implications, it applies the IMC concept in government policy communications. It empirically confirms the positive relationship between entrepreneurial GPC knowledge and entrepreneurial intention mediated by the GPC quality. In addition, the analysis demonstrates a higher mediation effect of GPC consistency on the positive impacts of entrepreneurial GPC knowledge and GPC quality on entrepreneurial intention. While, as policy implications, it suggests the marketing perspective application for developing and promoting entrepreneurial policies. The integration of messages and channels towards reaching the GPC consistency may facilitate the perception of knowledge among receivers. It improves the character of government-receiver interactive dialogue and, as a result, improves the GPC quality perception and performance in high entrepreneurial intention. Therefore, in addition to the quality, the GPC should be controlled on consistency. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG
Implementation of a Web Application to Enhance the Registration and Monitoring of Annual Medical Check-ups in Order to Comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act in an Industrial Company
In recent years, the world has confronted one of the most significant pandemics, COVID-19, which has compelled companies to embrace digital solutions, marking the end of the era of local applications. The primary goal of this shift is to evaluate individuals' overall health status rather than focusing solely on specific pathologies or chronic conditions, which necessitate specialized care. The proposed application facilitates the management of employees' medical histories, appointment scheduling, reminder notifications, and the storage of examination results. This project adheres to the SCRUM methodology. The main objective is to develop a contemporary web application for the effective oversight of medical check-ups, with a specific focus on ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act in industrial enterprises. Achieving this entails comprehensive functionality analysis to optimize data management, especially in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Notably, the primary research outcome demonstrates a significant improvement of 56.55% in medical check-up adherence following implementation. In conclusion, data collected from the medical examination web application highlights substantial enhancements in medical check-up adherence, result reporting, and treatment monitoring. The platform's implementation has proven to be effective in managing health-related data in industrial enterprises while ensuring adherence to legal safety and health requirements. © 2023 IEEE
Motivation to Lead of IT Professionals: The Role of IT Occupational Culture, Commitment and Gender Equality Policies in Latin America
Organizations are being impacted by the rapid advances in Information Technology (IT), and motivated IT leaders are critical. Gender is also an issue in IT since women are underrepresented in IT leadership positions worldwide and in Latin America. This research in progress aims to assess a model of factors that could impact the motivation to lead of IT professionals. The proposed model integrates the occupational culture framework and the construct of the importance of gender equality policies. Previous research found that people in the IT occupation have unique characteristics that are different from other occupations. The theoretical frameworks of motivation to lead and IT occupational culture (ITOC) serve as a foundation for our research model. In addition, the construct importance of gender policies was designed and validated for this research. This research will be undertaken in the context of IT professionals in four countries in Latin America. © 2023 29th Annual Americas Conference on Information Systems, AMCIS 2023. All rights reserved
Rational or Emotional User
Understanding why users continue or discontinue using specific technology is vital for its providers. Existing literature has explored the reasons for continuance and discontinuance by taking into account both rational and emotional factors. However, one question remains unanswered: Why do some users depend more on rational factors for decision-making, while others rely more on emotional factors? This study addresses this question by integrating cognitive decision-making styles and the fear of making incorrect decisions into traditional continued usage models. Data were gathered from 285 TV users and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results demonstrate that the introduced constructs moderated the direct effects of rational and emotional factors. The contribution of the study lies in incorporating the underlying cognitive processes of decision-making. It presents two actionable variables that managers can utilize to categorize their customers and enhance the effectiveness of their use continuance strategies.</p

Application of neural networks in the teacher selection process
The information and communications technologies are revolutionizing the classic ways of carrying out the processes, in particular, for the teacher selection processes we have the classic form of evaluation, according to the criteria of each educational institution, in the present work it is presented a teacher selection model, using neural networks, using 3 criteria and 23 characteristics, which are entered into individual networks for each criterion and additionally a network for the final classification, is presented based on a prototype, an application developed with the computational tool Matlab, which is described in detail for its application and scaling, for purposes of measuring the performance of the network, evaluations were carried out with a group of 30 candidates, grouped into two groups, a group of 15 candidates with positive conditions complying with the policies of the educational institution and a second group with candidates who do not meet the policies of the educational institution, with which sensitivity values of 93% and a specificity level of 86% were obtained, we conclude that the model presented can be replicated and conditioned to the needs and policies of each educational institution
Proposal for the Implementation of a Web Platform to Reinforce the Learning of the Mathematical Reasoning Course for Sixth Grade of Primary School
Currently, the traditional teaching methodology used in educational centers is not effectively adapted to the current technological era, which can lead to poor academic performance of students, especially in the subject of mathematical reasoning. The objective of the research is to develop a web platform that reinforces the learning of mathematical reasoning in sixth grade students. For this purpose, the agile software development methodology SCRUM was used, due to its agility and flexibility in the development process. In addition, the Game Learning methodology was used for the development of the web page content. The results obtained by conducting the experiment through a control and experimental group, in addition to the application of a survey, obtained a Spearman's Rho of 0.891 and a significance of less than 0.05, demonstrating that there is a relationship between the use of the web platform and the learning of mathematical reasoning. Thus, it is demonstrated that the use of ICT (information and communication technologies) benefits students, since it improves in several aspects in relation to traditional teaching, as evidenced in the experiment an improvement of 3.331% of the experimental group compared to the control group. Therefore, it is plausible to conclude that the use of a web platform accompanied by the Game Learning methodology reinforces students' learning in general. © 2023 IEEE
