Of the total, responses were received for 4, 3 from relevant implementing agencies and 1 on policy implementation. 93% of the policies tracked were undisclosed. Lack of accountability was one of the key contributors to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka

The analysis will feed into enhancing public participation and transparency in budget processes, which is urgently needed given Sri Lanka’s low performance in this respect. This set of infographics, which analyses Sri Lankan government’s progress on meeting 100 trackable IMF commitments for June 2023, creates social media engagement/public engagement, to the VR’s IMF tracker to explain the EFF-supported program and how to use the IMF Tracker (available as far as possible in all three languages). On 9th August 2023, Derana TV reported the same news as Hiru, avoiding derogatory language such as "මත් ලෝලීන්" (Math lolin). On August 16th, 2023, Dinamina reported the same news as Lankadeepa, using neutral language and avoiding derogatory terms like "කුඩුකාරයා" (Kudukaraya)
