Single-cell approaches for identifying transcriptional mechanisms of drug resistance in Triple Negative Breast Cancer
No full textTriple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is a complex malignancy subtype which commonly forms aggressive tumors with substantial stromal involvement. Unlike the Luminal and Her2+ breast cancer subtypes, TNBC tumors are unable to be targeted by highly specific therapies which exploit vulnerability in receptor expression to slow tumor growth. While some patients see initial benefit upon treatment with general or targeted chemotherapies, many patients relapse as their tumors adapt to the treatment and activate signaling pathways which allow them to survive therapy. In this, work I use an integrative experimental-computational approach to deeply profile TNBC tumor models during drug treatment and gain a mechanistic understanding of how transcriptional changes within malignant and stromal cells enable drug resistance
Universal screening for youth suicide risk in a school-based health clinic: a quality improvement project
Get PDFIn light of rising rates of youth death by suicide both nationally and in Oregon, this DNP project sought to administer the Ask-suicide Screening Questions (ASQ) tool to 75% of all eligible 12- to 18-year-old clinic visits at a newly established School-Based Health Center (SBHC). Data was collected for two different Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles between October and December 2023. Recommendations and possible future steps were presented to the clinic that included further increasing ASQ screening at the SBHC, expanding to other SBHCs, identifying community resources available to patients, and cementing clear management policies for follow up post risk identification

No full textThis book is a 1926 facsimile reproduction of the work of Italian anatomists Mondino dei Luzzi (c. 1275-1326) and Guido da Vigevano (c. 1280-1349). Description by Régis Olry (1996, doi: 10.1080/09647049709525696): "Mondino's book (written in 1316 and published in 1478) was the first treatise of anatomy based on the dissection of human cadavers, whereas the plates of Vigevano's manuscript (1345) marked the beginning of a new trend which became increasingly widespread during the following centuries: the use of anatomical illustration in textbooks. Though their neuroanatomical descriptions are rather simple and somewhat difficult to correlate with current descriptions, analysis of these works sheds new light on the knowledge of brain and spinal cord anatomy in the Middle Ages.
