Visualization of Usage Status of Healthcare Information Exchange Activity: A Case Study of Mame-NET in Shimane Prefecture, Japan
No full textRegional Health Information Exchange (HIE) networks have been introduced to facilitate information sharing between hospitals and clinics. An overview of the accessed patient information was conducted to enhance HIE utilization in Shimane Prefecture. Clinics and home nursing facilities had the most substantial browsing activity, followed by hospitals. Clinics were the ones that most frequently accessed hospital information. The numbers of home nursing facilities and clinics that accessed hospital information were comparable. The primary information requests focused on patients’ medical records (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan). HIEs have diverse functionalities and are indispensable for those accustomed to them; however, global challenges persist in improving their overall adoption. To further encourage the utilization of HIEs, it is essential to analyze current usage patterns thoroughly, model practical usage scenarios, and generate interest in a broader user base
Ten-year Survival and Clinical Course After Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Lobectomy for Pathological Stage I Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
No full textBackground: There are limited reports of follow-up >5 years for lung cancer after minimally invasive surgery. This study examined the 10-year outcomes. Methods: There were 98 eligible patients with pathological stage I non-small cell lung cancer who had undergone video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery lobectomy between 2007 and 2011. Patients’ perioperative factors and clinical course were evaluated retrospectively. Results: Of the patients, 71 had pathological stage IA, and 27 had pathological stage IB. The 10-year overall, relapse-free, and lung cancer- specific survival were 74.4%, 72.4%, and 89.7% for pathological stage IA and 57.4%, 55.9%, and 80.7% for pathological stage IB, respectively. The median time from surgery to recurrence and the diagnosis of second primary lung cancer （SPLC） was 22.0 and 61.0 months, respectively. Conclusion: This study was able to show the 10-year survival outcomes. The incidence of recurrence after 5 years is low in this population. However, it may be necessary to pay attention to SPLC

島根大学教育学部附属学校園における教科の学びを活かした系統的な探究学習カリキュラムの開発
No full text 島根大学教育学部附属学校園では，義務教育学校における学校設定科目「未来創造科」を基盤として，幼稚園から9 年生までの11 年間を通じたカリキュラム・マネジメントを行っている。これにより，園児・児童・生徒には，地域や社会の課題解決に向けた探究的な学びを通して自己の生き方や社会のあり方を考える資質・能力を育むことを目指している。2023 年度は，前年度まで取り組んできた各教科と未来創造科の学びの接続を具現化する取組を実践し，10 月には保育・未来創造科研修会を開催した。参加者や本学校園教員を対象としたアンケートの結果からは，実りの多い成果を高く評価する声が多く上がったが，同時に，未来創造科での学びがどこまで・どのように学習者主導であるべきか，また未来創造科とICT 活用推進の関係はどうあるべきか，など今後の検討課題も明らかになった
Factors Related to Medication Adherence in Hospitalized Older Patients as Assessed by Acute Care Nurses
No full textThe purpose of this study was to identify factors that influence medication adherence in older patients as assessed by nurses in an acute care hospital in Japan. A total of 3271 nurses with at least 3 years of clinical experience working in an acute care hospital were included in the study. A questionnaire survey was conducted on one case of an older patient for whom the nurses were currently providing medication self-management support. 629 responses were received. The total medication adherence scores of older patients were found to be associated with age, use of neuropsychiatric medications, and caregiver intervention. The subfactors of medication adherence had different influencing factors and were associated with factors such as age, use of neuropsychiatric medications, pharmacist intervention, number of types of medications, and previous diseases
