Desigm and Development of an Automatic Braking System for Bicycles Using Pulse Width Modulation Technique and Servo Motor Based on Arduino
The automatic braking system is an innovative technology designed to improve driving safety. This research developed an Arduino-based automatic braking system that uses LIDAR sensors to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle. The system works by analyzing the distance between the vehicle and the object in front of it, then activating the braking mechanism automatically using a servo motor controlled by the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique. The main goal of this system is to reduce the risk of accidents due to delays in the rider's response in braking. Tests are conducted with various distance and speed scenarios to measure the effectiveness of the system in detecting and responding to obstacles. The results of the experiment show that the system can detect objects with high accuracy and perform braking in optimal response time. With the implementation of this technology, it is expected to improve user safety, Especially in unexpected road conditions.
The system can also be further developed with the integration of vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology to improve the efficiency and reliability of automatic braking.61 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Criminal Liability for Medical Malpractice by Doctors Under Positive Law in Indonesia (A Case Study of Supreme Court Decision No. 233K/Pid.Sus/2021)
This research is motivated by the increasing number of medical malpractice cases in Indonesia, which have serious implications for patients' rights, public trust in the medical profession, and the integrity of healthcare services. One of the main issues lies in the difficulty of distinguishing between professional negligence that constitutes a criminal offense and acceptable medical risks. Indonesian positive law, through the Criminal Code (KUHP) and various health-related statutes, has regulated several aspects of criminal liability for doctors. However, its implementation remains controversial, as reflected in the differing decisions between the District Court of Makassar and the Supreme Court in Case Number 1441/Pid.Sus/2019/PN Mks Jo Number 233K/Pid.Sus/2021. This study focuses on addressing the following problems: how criminal acts of medical malpractice are regulated under Indonesia's positive law, what forms of criminal liability may be imposed on doctors for such malpractice, and how judges' legal considerations are reflected in their decisions. The purpose of this research is to analyze the existing legal framework, evaluate the forms of criminal responsibility imposed on doctors in malpractice cases, and understand the judicial reasoning behind the court’s rulings. Theoretically, this research aims to enrich the discourse on criminal law and health law in Indonesia, while also serving as an academic reference for examining the legal aspects of medical malpractice. Practically, the findings of this study are expected to benefit students, academics, legal practitioners, and medical professionals in understanding the legal accountability associated with improper medical conduct. This research employs a normative juridical method using a statutory and case study approach. Data is collected from primary legal materials, such as the Criminal Code, the Medical Practice Act, the Health Law, and court decisions, as well as secondary sources, including legal literature, journals, and other academic publications. The analysis is conducted qualitatively to assess the legal application in actual cases of medical malpractice by doctors.114 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Estimation of Body Height Based on Foot Length in Batak Karo Ethnicity in 2024
Body height is a basic unit for assessing growth and nutrition, but
measuring body height can be hindered by muscle weakness, joint problems, or
spinal deformities. Estimating a person's height is an important parameter in
forensic examinations. An alternative method for measuring a person's height in
forensic cases, as well as when human body parts are found at mass disaster sites,
is to calculate height according to identification perspectives. Furthermore,
estimating stature from skeletal fragments is also of great interest in forensic
science. Anthropometry is a systematic measurement method that expresses human
body and skeletal dimensions quantitatively. Anthropometry is often viewed as a
traditional tool and may be a basic tool in biological anthropology. This is due to
the increasing number of disaster events causing mass deaths that require victim
identification from fragmented human remains. Footprint analysis helps in
estimating an individual's stature because of the strong positive correlation between
stature and foot size; footprints are also considered indicators of a person's skeletal
and body structure.
Method: This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional design aimed at
examining the relationship between foot length and body height in the North
Sumatran community, aged 21-25 years, of Batak Karo ethnicity.
Results: Foot length and body height in males and females have a significant
relationship with a p-value < 0.05 (P = 0.001), with a very strong correlation level;
r > 0.8 (0.800-1.000). Foot length has a strong correlation with body height, making
foot length a good predictor of body height.83 PagesTesis Magiste

This research was initiated due to the growing demand for efficiency and surface
quality in the manufacturing industry, especially in surface roughness using CNC
milling machines. This study aims to optimize the machining parameters of the CNC
milling process to minimize surface roughness on aluminum 6061 material. The
method used is Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with a Box-Behnken Design
(BBD), involving three independent variables: spindle speed, feed rate, and depth
of cut. Experiments were conducted using a VMC640 CNC milling machine, and
surface roughness measurements were carried out with a Mitutoyo SJ-210 tester.
Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that all parameters had a significant effect
on surface roughness, with feed rate being the most dominant factor. The resulting
quadratic regression model had an R² value of 98.15%, adjusted R² of 94.81%, and
predicted R² of 82.21%, indicating a high level of model accuracy and reliability.
The optimal combination was found at a spindle speed of 1785.86 rpm, a feed rate
of 181.31 mm/min, and a depth of cut of 1.13 mm, producing a minimum surface
roughness of 0.1519 µm. In conclusion, the RSM method with Box-Behnken Design
is effective in optimizing CNC milling parameters to achieve superior surface
