A Comparative Analysis Of The Effect Of Systemic Risk, Idiosyncratic Risk, and Investor Sentimen On Stock Returns Of Banking Companies Listed On The Indonesia Stock Exchange and Bursa Malaysia
Stock return is a key indicator reflecting investment perfomance and serves as a primary consideration for investors in making decisions in the capital market, where the banking sector plays a strategic role in driving economic growth in both Indonesia and Malaysia. This study aims to analyze the influence of systematic risk, idiosyncratic risk, and investor sentiment on banking stock returns in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and Bursa Malaysia. The study use a quantitative approach with explanatory research and a comparative methode, involving 21 companies from IDX and 7 companies from Bursa Malaysia over the period of 2020-2023. Using panel data analysis with EViews software, the results show that in IDX, systematic risk has a significant negative effect on stock returns by 10.74% (p-value 0.001), idiosyncratic risk has a highly significant positive effect by 594.00% (p-value 0.000), while investor sentiment does not have a significant effect (p-value 0.331). In Bursa Malaysia, systematic risk also has a significant negative effect by 14.11% (p-value 0.0028), idiosyncatic risk has a significant negative effect by 116.065% (p-value 0.0803), and investor sentiment has a significant positive effect by 0.57% (p-value 0.0001). The model explains 59.41% of the variation in stock returns in IDX and 20.63% in Bursa Malaysia. The comparative analysis reveals no significant difference in systematic risk between the two exchanges and consistent findings in the combined data. Implementation of Matching the Population Identification Number to the Taxpayer's Tax Number (Study on Tax Service Office Pratama Medan Polonia)
This research aims to examine the implementation of the matching process between the National Identity Number (NIK) and the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) within the tax administration system in Indonesia. Along with the development of information technology and government efforts to increase the efficiency and accuracy of taxation data, the matching of NIK and NPWP is expected to improve tax administration performance, reduce data manipulation practices, and improve the quality of existing data in the tax system.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study at agencies implementing the matching of NIK and NPWP. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis related to the implementation of matching policies. The results of the study show that the matching of NIK and NPWP can improve the integration of population and taxation data, but several challenges remain in terms of data quality, public awareness, and technical constraints in the data integration system that need to be addressed to achieve maximum objectives.
In conclusion, the matching of NIK and NPWP has great potential to improve a more effective and efficient tax system, but requires better infrastructure and more intensive outreach to be implemented optimally.110 PagesKertas Karya Diplom
The Effect of Production Factors on The Income of Lowland Rice Farmers in Pematang Johar Village, Labuhan Deli Sub-District, Deli Serdang District
This study aims to analyze the effect of production factors on the income of lowland rice farmers in Desa Pematang Johar, Kecamatan Labuhan Deli, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Specifically, the research examines the influence of land area (X1), labor (X2), and production costs (X3), both partially and simultaneously, on the income of farmers (Y). This study employs a quantitative by using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that simultaneously, the variables of land area, labor, and production costs have a significant effect on farmers’ income. Partially, only the land area variable has a significant effect on income, with a significance value of 0.007. Meanwhile, labor and production costs do not have a significant partial effect, with significance values of 0.526 and 0.142, respectively. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.941, indicates that 94.1% of the variation in farmers’ income can be explained by the three independent variables in the model, while the remaining 5.9% explained by other factors outside the model. Effectiveness of Soapberry (Sapindus rarak) Surfactant with Mahagony Seed (Swietenia mahagoni) and Soursop Seed (Annona squamosa) Extraxts using Various Solvents on The Mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith on Corn Plants
Spodoptera frugiperda is an invasive pest that attacks corn plants and causes significant damage. The excessive use of chemical insecticides can negatively impact the environment and human health, necessitating the development of plant-based insecticides as an alternative control method. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of soapberry (Sapindus rarak) surfactant in combination with mahogany seed (Swietenia mahagoni) and sugar apple seed (Annona squamosa) extracts using different solvents (methanol and hexane) on the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda. This research was conducted at the green house, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, from June 2024 to January 2025. The study utilized a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications and nine treatments. Observed parameters included larval mortality, pupal formation percentage, adult emergence percentage, and Lethal Time 50 (LT50). The results showed that the highest mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda occurred in the treatment using sugar apple seed extract with 80 ml of methanol and 10 ml of soapberry fruit surfactant, which had a significant effect in inhibiting larval development. However, plant-based insecticides also significantly inhibited larval development. The addition of soapberry surfactant enhanced the effectiveness of mahogany and sugar apple seed extracts, particularly in improving the spreadability of the solution on leaf surfaces. Based on these findings, plant-based insecticides derived from mahogany and soursop seed extracts combined with soapberry surfactant have the potential to serve as an environmentally friendly alternative for controlling Spodoptera frugiperda. Analysis of Infiltration Rate Under MPTS (Multipurpose Tree Species) Stands in USU 2 Bekala Arboretum
Infiltration is the process of water entering the soil from the surface. Infiltration plays an important role in the hydrological cycle because it helps regulate water distribution in the soil. Multipurpose Tree Species (MPTS) have important ecological benefits, one of which is regulating hydrological functions. This study aims to analyze infiltration rates in various MPTS stands and the relationship between soil physical properties and infiltration rates at the USU Campus 2 Arboretum in Bekala. Infiltration rates in the field were measured using a double ring infiltrometer. The Horton model and the Kostiakov model were used to analyze infiltration rates for each stand. The results of the models were then tested using the Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) tests. The highest average infiltration rate was found in the durian stand at 11.24 cm/hour, while the lowest average infiltration rate was found in the rambutan stand at 1.88 cm/hour. Organic matter content and sand fraction were the strongest factors influencing infiltration rates. Silt had a strong negative relationship with infiltration rates. Bulk density and initial moisture content did not have a significant relationship with fc and f0. The NSE and RMSE tests showed that the Horton model provided better estimated infiltration rates than the Kostiakov model. Planning and Design of a Student Hotel as a Strategic Housing Solution Near Campus with Green Building Architecture
The rapid growth of higher education in Indonesia has increased
the demand for student housing that is decent, safe, strategically
located, and supportive of both academic and social activities.
However, comfortable and easily accessible housing around
campuses remains limited, thus requiring an innovative solution.
This study aims to design a student hotel as an alternative
housing option that is strategic, functional, and applies the
principles of green architecture. The methods used include
literature review, analysis of user needs and site conditions,
comparative studies of similar projects, and data synthesis to
formulate the design concept.The design is based on student
characteristics, site conditions, and green building principles such
as energy efficiency, natural ventilation, the use of
environmentally friendly local materials, and the integration of
green open spaces. The results show that a student hotel
designed with a green architecture approach can provide
comfortable accommodation, support productivity, encourage

The Dynamics of Self-Forgiveness in People Living with HIV (PLWHA) Infected Through Risky Sexual Behavior
Risky sexual behavior is closely associated with the transmission of Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Individuals living with HIV often experience guilt
and shame, which may necessitate self-forgiveness to reduce these negative
emotions. This study aims to explore the dynamics of self-forgiveness in people
living with HIV (PLHIV) who were infected through risky sexual behavior.
Drawing on Cornish and Wade’s (2015) model, self-forgiveness involves four
components: responsibility, remorse, restoration, and renewal. This qualitative
research involved interviews with three participants. Findings revealed that two
participants, one homosexual and one heterosexual, were unable to reduce their
negative emotions, while another homosexual participant was able to do so. Each
participant exhibited a unique pattern of self-forgiveness. The homosexual
participant who did not succeed followed a sequence of responsibility, restoration,
remorse, and restoration. The heterosexual participant went through responsibility,
remorse, restoration, and returned to remorse. In contrast, the homosexual
participant who successfully reduced negative emotions experienced a longer
process, beginning with responsibility, followed by remorse, restoration, another

The Relationship Between Pregnancy Trimester and Oral Manifestations in Pregnant Women at Patumbak Community Health Center Deli Serdang Regency in 2025
Hormonal changes during pregnancy can lead to various oral manifestations in
pregnant women, including caries, gingivitis, epulis gravidarum, changes in salivary
flow rate, and alterations in salivary pH. This study aims to examine the relationship
between pregnancy trimester and oral manifestations in pregnant women. It is an
analytic observational study using a cross-sectional design conducted at Patumbak
Community Health Center in June 2025, involving 52 pregnant women. Subjects were
selected using purposive sampling with the following inclusion criteria: pregnant
women attending the Maternal and Child Health Clinic, without systemic diseases such
as diabetes mellitus or pregnancy-induced hypertension, not on routine medications
affecting homeostasis, and non-smokers. Collected data included pregnancy trimester
and oral manifestations: caries, gingivitis, epulis gravidarum, changes in salivary flow
rate, and changes in salivary pH. Data were analyzed using chi-square and Fisher’s
exact tests. The results showed no significant relationship between pregnancy trimester
and overall oral manifestations (p = 0.375). However, there were significant
associations between pregnancy trimester and incidence of gingivitis (p = 0.003),
dental caries (p = 0.026), and changes in salivary flow rate (p = 0.001). No significant
relationship was found between trimester and salivary pH change (p = 0.810), and no
cases of epulis gravidarum were observed among the respondents. In conclusion, this
study found no overall association between pregnancy trimester and oral

Callus Induction and Shoot Morphogenesis of Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.) Using 2,4-D and Kinetin
This study aimed to determine the effect of applying various concentrations of 2,4-D and Kinetin in MS medium on the growth of callus and shoot morphogenesis of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.), as well as to assess the interaction between 2,4-D and Kinetin on callus growth. The research was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, from December to May 2025. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was the concentration of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid (2,4-D): D0 (0 ppm), D1 (1.75 ppm), D2 (2.0 ppm), and D3 (2.25 ppm). The second factor was Kinetin: K0 (0 ppm), K1 (1.25 ppm), K2 (1.5 ppm), and K3 (1.75 ppm). The parameters observed were the percentage of viable explants, percentage of explants forming callus, percentage of explants forming shoots, days to callus initiation, callus fresh weight, callus texture, and callus color. The results showed that the application of 2,4-D and Kinetin had a significant effect on all observed parameters, including their interaction. The treatment combination of D1K3 (1.75 ppm 2,4-D + 1.75 ppm Kinetin) resulted in the best outcomes in terms of the earliest callus initiation and the highest callus fresh weight.66 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Design and Manufacture of IoT-Based Microplastic Detection Device Using BPW34 Photodiode Optical Sensor
Microplastics are plastic particles smaller than 5 mm that have become one of the main pollutants in water bodies. The Deli River in Medan City is one of the areas affected due to high domestic waste and poor waste management. This study aims to design a microplastic detection tool based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a BPW34 photodiode sensor. The system works by measuring the infrared light reflectance from plastic particles in the water, then transmitting the data in real-time to the ThingSpeak platform. This tool consists of the BPW34 sensor, which is sensitive to the 320–1100 nm spectrum, combined with a halogen lamp, an IR720 filter, an LM358 amplifier, and an ESP32 microcontroller. The sensor calibration showed an average error of only 0.94%. Testing was conducted at three points on the Deli River (upstream, middle, downstream) at four different times over three days. The highest reflectance was recorded at the downstream point, with a peak reflectance of 87.1% at an intensity of 6976 Lux during hot weather, and the lowest at the upstream point with 9.5% at 765 Lux during light rain. This tool has proven effective in detecting microplastics in the field, with easy real-time data monitoring through IoT. This system offers a practical, affordable, and potential solution for sustainable water quality monitoring, especially in areas with limited laboratory facilities.103 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
