Analysis Of Environmental Sanitation at Cadika Urban Forest Park in Medan Johor Sub-District, Medan City in 2025

    No full text
Cadika Urban Forest Park is a green open space and a popular tourist attraction for the people of Medan. The sanitation conditions in the park show that there are uncovered trash bins, organic waste burning practices, and poorly maintained toilets that cause unpleasant odors. These conditions can disrupt visitor comfort and pose health risks, necessitating a comprehensive assessment of the park’s environmental sanitation conditions. This study is descriptive in nature, employing observation and interviews with sanitation staff and park supervisors. The study includes an analysis of sanitation facilities, including clean water supply, toilets, wastewater drainage systems, waste management, and sanitation infrastructure; supporting facilities, including educational resources, health facilities, and fire extinguishing equipment; and operational resources at Cadika City Forest Park. The results of the study indicate that the overall environmental sanitation conditions do not yet meet healthy standards. Environmental conditions fall into the unhygienic category. Sanitation facilities fall into the hygienic category. Supporting facilities are categorized as unfit for health. The operational human resources aspect shows that staff are available but have not received specialized training, do not work according to technical standards, and are not supervised through a structured evaluation system. Therefore, a comprehensive improvement in facility quality, enhanced staff capacity through training, and the implementation of a structured supervision system are necessary to optimally improve the environmental sanitation quality of the park.151 pagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Influence of Adding Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium) on the Microbiological and Organoleptic Quality of Patty from Culling Layer Chicken Meat

    No full text
One of the efforts that can be made in utilizing culling chickens as food products is by processing the chicken meat into patties. Patties are susceptible to spoilage due to microbes. This research aims to determine the effect of adding Andaliman on the microbiological quality (TPC test) and organoleptic quality (color, aroma, tenderness, taste) of culling chicken meat patties. The design used in this study is a Completely Randomized Design with a factorial pattern with 2 factors (4x2) and 3 replications. Factor 1 is storage duration (W1 = 24 hours, W2 = 48 hours). Factor 2 is the concentration of Andaliman powder (P0 = without Andaliman addition, P1 = patty + 1% Andaliman, P2 = patty + 2% Andaliman, P3 = patty + 3% Andaliman). The results showed that addition of Andaliman could reduce the total bacterial colony of afkir chicken patty and improve the organoleptic quality of afkir chicken patty. The best treatment in the TPC test was P3W1 (treatmen addition of 3% Andaliman at the storage time of 24 hours) with an average of 20.63 x104 cfu/gr. Furthermore, the addition of Andaliman to the afkir chicken patty has a real effect on the taste, and aroma, but does not have a real effect on tenderness and color. The length of patty storage does not affect the results of the hedonic quality test produced.66 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
Tax is an important source of revenue for national development. To improve taxpayer compliance in submitting the Annual Tax Return (SPT), the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) launched the Tax Volunteer program, which assists taxpayers in using e-filing. This program started in the DJP North Sumatra I region in 2021, involving students from various universities, including Universitas Sumatera Utara. Low Tax Office of Binjai has shown positive performance with an increase in tax revenue and the number of taxpayers submitting reports. However, despite the increase in reporting, the number of taxpayers who do not submit their Annual Tax Returns has also risen. This research aims to examine the role of the tax volunteer program in improving taxpayers compliance through e-filing at Low Tax Office of Binjai. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary and secondary data sources obtained from the community and Low Tax Office of Binjai through interviews and documentation. The research findings indicate that the role of the Tax Volunteer program in improving taxpayers compliance through e-filing at Low Tax Office of Binjai is very significant. This program makes it easier for taxpayers to submit their online annual tax returns, addresses both technical and non-technical issues, and provides necessary education to ensure that taxpayers file correctly. Although there are challenges such as technological understanding and network disruptions, the presence of tax volunteers has a positive impact on improving compliance. Therefore, this program needs to be continuously developed, with a focus on enhancing technological literacy and maintaining smooth e-filing infrastructure105Kertas Karya Diplom

The Development of Android Application for Prediction of Water Quality Index (WQI) in Aquascape Using Gradient Boosting Regression and Improved Grey Relational Analysis (IGRA) Feature Selection

    No full text
Water is one of the most important elements in an aquascape environment, where small changes in water parameters can affect the Water Quality and environmental balance in an aquascape. There are several ways to check Water Quality, but traditional models such as laboratory testing or the use of IoT sensors often require a lot of money and time, making them less suitable for aquascape users. Therefore, this research was conducted to assist aquascape users in monitoring their Water Quality periodically using Improved Grey Relational Analysis (IGRA) feature selection and the Gradient Boosting Regression (GBR) algorithm XGBoost variant. This research was conducted to develop an Android application that can predict Water Quality Index (WQI) based on manual input from water parameters, namely pH, DO, temperature, TDS, Ammonia, KH, CO2, and light intensity with a dataset consisting of 13,293 lines of data. The XGBoost model built using a training and test data ratio of 80:20 was able to provide excellent results. This is reflected by the evaluation results of the R-squared (R2) metric of 0.9975, Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.5440, and accuracy of 99.39%. This research shows that the model can be an aid for aquascape users in monitoring Water Quality more effectively, so as to maintain the balance of the aquascape ecosystem.74 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
Cabbage is one of the widely cultivated horticultural commodities with high economic and nutritional value which is the mainstay of farmers, especially in Karo Regency. Pest and disease attacks are an obstacle for cabbage farmers who are usually controlled with pesticides. This study aims to assess the application of IPM and analyse the feasibility of cabbage (Brassica oleracea) farming in Ajijahe Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency, and examine the effect of these costs on the income of cabbage farmers. This research was conducted in Ajijahe Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection through surveys to cabbage farmers in the research location. The results showed that the average cost of controlling pests and plant diseases was 29.73% of the total cost. The calculation of R / C = 1.25> 1 so that the farm is said to be feasible. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained significance obtained 0.440 greater than 0.05% and the value of tcount (0.788) smaller than ttable (2.007) so that the cost of pest and disease control does not significantly affect the income of farmers. Farmers' level of education affects knowledge and techniques for controlling pests and plant diseases.85 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
