Factors Related to Crop Rotation Patterns Based on Lowland Rice (Oryza sativa L) in Denai Sarang Burung Village

    No full text
This study aims to identify the factors related to the crop rotation patterns based on lowland rice in Denai Sarang Burung Village, Pantai Labu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency. The crop rotation patterns applied by farmers in this village include rice–rice–fallow, rice–rice–watermelon, rice rice–chili, and rice–rice–genjer (Limnocharis flava). This research employed a quantitative descriptive method, using purposive sampling with a total of 40 farmer respondents. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between the independent variables—namely farmer income, commodity prices, land characteristics, farming habits, and agricultural extension recommendations—and the crop rotation pattern. The results showed a significant relationship between commodity prices and extension agent recommendations with the rice-based crop rotation pattern. Furthermore, a farming feasibility analysis was conducted using the R/C Ratio. The results indicated that all crop rotation patterns implemented by farmers were feasible, with R/C Ratios ranging from 2.29 to 3.31. Among these, the rice–rice–chili pattern, applied by only 20% of farmers, proved to be the most profitable with an R/C Ratio of 3.31.78 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
TikTok live streaming shopping has emerged as a favored sales strategy among business actors. This method involves sales promotions offered for a limited time during the live streaming sessions and leverages social presence, including the presence of streamers, audiences, and the interactive features of TikTok's live shopping platform. This live shopping approach can drive impulsive buying behavior due to the influence of sales promotions and social presence. These two factors play a crucial role in triggering consumers' emotional responses, such as feelings of excitement and enthusiasm, which eventually lead to impulsive purchases. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with judgmental sampling, selecting respondents based on specific criteria. The analytical method employed is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The study includes two independent variables (Sales Promotion and Social Presence), one mediating variable (Emotional Response), and one dependent variable (Impulse Buying). The findings indicate that both Sales Promotion and Social Presence have a positive and significant direct effect on Impulse Buying, and also indirectly influence Impulse Buying through Emotional Response. Additionally, Emotional Response significantly and positively affects Impulse Buying. Thus, enhancing the appeal of sales promotions and strengthening social presence during live shopping sessions can stimulate consumers' emotional responses, ultimately influencing their impulsive purchasing behavior.155 PagesTesis Magiste

    No full text
The development of AI has opened up new dimensions in various aspects of human life, including in creative fields such as the creation of writing and literary works. The written works produced by AI can then be utilized by users to make a writing in the form of a book or other literary works, which can be published and distributed through various platforms for economic purposes. This has led to confusion regarding legal arrangements in Indonesia which have not comprehensively regulated copyright. This research discusses the basic concepts and characteristics of AI in relation to its relevance to existing regulations in Indonesia, and its regulation in other countries. This research discusses the use of AI in producing written works as well as its use in a commercial perspective in Indonesian regulations. This research uses normative juridical legal research method through statute approach and conceptual approach by referring to primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials with library research collection method to strengthen the research being conducted. AI in Indonesian law has not yet gained an equal position with humans and legal entities as legal subjects. The written works created with the help of AI can still get copyright protection, provided that AI is only considered as an auxiliary tool, not the main creator. AI-generated written works can get legal protection if they fulfill the elements of fixation, originality, and creativity. Thus, the commercial use of AI-generated written works is not an infringement as long as the resulting work has the distinctive and personal nature of the user to obtain legal protection.128 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Reception Analysis of Professional Graphic Designers on the Winning Logo of the Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency 2023 Design Competition

    No full text
This study aims to explore how professional graphic designers interpret the winning logo of the 2023 Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency (BARANTIN) logo competition. The competition sparked controversy due to the winning entry being submitted by an internal official, despite the contest being declared open to the public. The winning logo was criticized for lacking institutional representation and merely featuring the Garuda symbol without supporting visual elements. This research uses a qualitative approach and reception analysis method based on Stuart Hall's encoding/decoding theory. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with professional graphic designers who have over 10 years of experience. The findings reveal varied interpretations among the informants, ranging from dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, to oppositional readings. Most informants believe the logo fails to communicate effectively and does not fully represent BARANTIN's institutional identity. This study is expected to contribute to a more transparent discourse in graphic design and serve as a reference for government institutions in conducting more professional institutional branding processes.124 PageSkripsi Sarjan

Legal Protection of Household Workers Working Overseas Reviewed from Undergoing Number 18 Year 2017 and ILO Convention 189 Year 2011

    No full text
Legal protection as the protection of dignity and recognition of human rights owned by legal subjects in a legal state based on applicable legal provisions, both preventive and repressive. This research discusses the scope related to domestic workers who work abroad, and focuses on legal protection for domestic workers. Domestic workers often adapt to various problems. The problems faced by domestic workers include unfair treatment, low wages, delays in payment of wages, violence in the workplace, and work that is not in accordance with the work contract. Data from the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union (SBMI) shows that between 2010 and 2025, there were 5,664 cases of domestic workers' rights violations handled. As a country of law that respects human rights, the Indonesian government is expected to support ILO Convention 189 on decent work for domestic workers. However, to date, there is no law that specifically regulates the protection of domestic workers, both domestically and those working abroad. This makes domestic workers vulnerable to exploitation and human rights violations. The research method used in writing this thesis is the normative juridical research method using a statutory approach, and strengthened by an interview approach conducted at BP2MI and PT Wira Usaha Kreasi. This research is descriptive analytical in nature that uses laws and regulations related to legal theories that are the object of research or regulations related to the object of research. The data collection tools used are document studies or literature studies, namely searching for data from books, laws and regulations, journals, scientific papers, and strengthened with supporting data, namely interviews. The results of this study found that while domestic workers are considered as much-needed workers, they do not have adequate legal protection. Currently, there is no specific law that regulates the protection of domestic workers, who work outside. This research emphasises the importance of government support in legalising and protecting the rights of domestic workers, through the passage of the Domestic Workers Bill in accordance with ILO Convention 189 on Decent Work. The government is expected to provide better social security and legal protection for domestic workers.201 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
