Implementation of Augmented Reality on Block System Game for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

    No full text
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological developmental disorder that affects an individual's ability to communicate, socialize, and behave. One common characteristic in children with ASD is a delay in the development of fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, cognitive abilities, and social skills. Block-building games specifically designed for this purpose can serve as an effective therapeutic tool to support the development of children with ASD. This study implements Augmented Reality (AR) technology in block-building games as an interactive tool that combines a sensory integration therapy approach. AR technology is used to provide real-time visual guidance and multisensory stimuli, helping children recognize, process, and respond to sensory information more adaptively. This study employs marker-based tracking. The game is designed to stimulate the integration of various sensory systems, such as visual, proprioceptive, and tactile, which are crucial in the block-building process. The game application was developed using Unity 3D software. The game application was tested with 10 participants through usability testing. The usability results included learnability at 80%, memorability at 77.5%, efficiency at 72.5%, and satisfaction at 73.33%. Thus, this application is expected to serve as an educational and enjoyable therapeutic tool for children with ASD.82 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
Airports, as public spaces with high consumer traffic, demand effective and rapid marketing strategies to capture buyers' attention. In this context, Roti O as a snack brand offers a consumption experience based on brand awareness and sensory stimulation. Brand awareness serves as the primary gateway to shaping consumer perceptions, but emotional engagement and sensory memory also play a crucial role in determining consumer loyalty. Therefore, it is essential to understand how brand awareness and sensory experiences interact in influencing brand loyalty, particularly in dynamic locations such as Kualanamu Airport. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand awareness on brand loyalty through consumer sensory memory as a mediating variable among Roti O consumers at Kualanamu Airport, Medan. The primary focus of this research is to examine whether sensory experiences—such as aroma, taste, and visual presentation—strengthen the relationship between brand awareness and consumers’ repeat purchase decisions. The research uses a quantitative approach with non-probability sampling in the form of purposive sampling. Data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents who had purchased Roti O products at Kualanamu Airport within the last three months. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS version 4.0 software. Validity and reliability tests, along with path analysis, were employed to examine the direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results reveal that brand awareness has a significant effect on both consumer sensory memory and brand loyalty. Additionally, sensory memory also directly influences brand loyalty. The mediation analysis shows that sensory memory partially mediates the effect of brand awareness on brand loyalty, with the indirect effect being greater than the direct one. These findings highlight the importance of sensory marketing strategies in enhancing the effectiveness of brand awareness to foster long-term consumer loyalty.137 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Spelling Correction for Non-Word Errors in Batak Toba Language Using the Peter Norvig Method

    No full text
The use of Batak Toba language in digital communication often faces challenges, especially in typing and spelling accuracy. One of the most common issues is non-word errors, which occur when words are misspelled in a way that they no longer match any valid word in the dictionary. For example, the correct word “pailahon” (meaning “embarrassing”) might be mistyped as “paolahn.” These kinds of errors can affect readability, lower the quality of communication, and in the long term, may hinder efforts to preserve the Batak Toba language in digital form. To address this problem, this study develops a spelling correction system focused on handling non-word errors in Batak Toba using the Peter Norvig method. This method combines a probability-based approach and edit distance calculations to find and suggest the most likely correct words. The system uses a dataset that includes a Batak Toba word corpus of 5.000 words and a test set containing 498 words. Based on the evaluation, the system was able to detect and correct spelling mistakes with satisfying results. The system achieved an accuracy of 90,76%, with 452 out of 498 incorrect words successfully corrected. In addition, the system recorded a precision score of 90,16%, a recall of 90,76%, and an F1-score of 90,42%. These results show that the Peter Norvig method works well for spelling correction, especially for local languages like Batak Toba, which have limited digital resources.54 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Juridicial Review of Proof by Presumption The Settlement of Oral Debt Disputes (Case Study of Decision Number 2411/K/Pdt/2021)

    No full text
Disputes over oral debt agreements often present evidentiary challenges due to the absence of written documentation. In court proceedings, the burden of proof in such cases relies on supporting evidence such as witness testimony, legal presumptions, confessions, and oaths. This is reflected in Supreme Court Decision Number 2411 K/Pdt/2021, where the district court rejected the claim due to lack of evidence, while the appellate court overturned the decision based on presumptive evidence indicating the existence of a debt agreement. This difference illustrates the varying perspectives among judges in handling oral debt disputes. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory and case study approach. Data was collected through literature review and analyzed qualitatively to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the legal issues examined. The findings show that judges are authorized to assess unwritten evidence such as presumptions, as long as it is based on legally recognized facts. In the case, the Supreme Court concurred with the appellate court’s reasoning, which relied on bank transfers, receipts, and the close personal relationship between the parties as the basis for presumption of debt. This is made possible by the legal discretion granted to judges in freely evaluating evidence. Thus, judicial independence plays a key role in ensuring justice in civil cases that are difficult to prove.122 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Determinants Of Utilization Of Complete Basic Immunization Services In Padangsidimpuan City

    No full text
Immunization is one of the most effective public health strategies for preventing vaccine-preventable diseases, thereby reducing childhood morbidity and mortality. However, full immunization coverage remains below target in Padangsidimpuan City. This cross-sectional study involved 255 mothers of children aged 9–24 months. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through logistic regression to determine factors associated with immunization utilization. Multivariate analysis revealed that maternal knowledge (ExpB = 3.314; 95% CI: 1.927–5.701; p < 0.001) and spousal support (ExpB = 2.208; 95% CI: 1.151–4.237; p = 0.017) were significantly associated with complete immunization. Mothers with good knowledge were 3.3 times more likely, and those receiving spousal support were 2.2 times more likely to complete their child’s immunization schedule. These findings underscore the need for policy interventions to enhance immunization coverage, particularly in resource-limited settings.145 PagesTesis Magiste

    No full text
Background: Obesity is a global health issue characterized by increased body fat and leptin resistance, which plays a crucial role in regulating appetite and energy metabolism. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effects of combining ethanolic extract of lemongrass stem (Cymbopogon citratus) and Slow Interval Training (SIT) on body weight, abdominal circumference, visceral fat mass, and hypothalamic ObRb leptin gene expression in male Wistar rats with diet-induced obesity. Methods: The study used a post-test only control group experimental design with 35 male rats randomly assigned into five treatment groups. Obesity was induced through a high-fat diet for six weeks. Treatments were administered for eight weeks, including lemongrass extract (300 mg/kgBW), SIT, and their combination. Results: All treatments significantly reduced body weight, abdominal circumference, and visceral fat mass compared to the untreated obese group. The highest increase in hypothalamic ObRb leptin gene expression was observed in the lemongrass-only group (1.21x), followed by SIT (1.14x), and the combination group (1.08x), although the differences were not statistically significant. Conclusion: These findings suggest that both lemongrass extract and SIT have potential to improve leptin resistance and may be considered as complementary therapeutic strategies for obesity.152 pagesTesis Magiste
