The Effect of Giving Phytobiotics Turmeric (Curcuma longa Linn) and Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia Linn) in Drinking Water on the Physical Quality of Broiler Chicken Meat

    No full text
Phytobiotics are a form of natural feed additive that can replace the role of antibiotics, have active compounds to overcome stress and healing, as well as preventing disease in broiler chickens. Turmeric and noni are medicinal plants that can be used as phytobiotics, this is because they contain active compounds that can increase appetite, prevent the growth of bacteria in the intestinal tract, and facilitate intestinal digestion so that the nutrients in the feed are properly absorbed, and have an impact on improving the physical quality of broiler chicken meat. This research was conducted in December 2024 – January 2025 at the Animal Biology Cage, Animal Science Study Program, Animal Production Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Testing Laboratory, Chemistry Department, Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic. The design used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Treatment consisted of providing drinking water with the addition of phytobiotics (P0 = 0% ; P1 = 5% ; P2 = 10% ; P3 = 15%). The parameters observed were pH value, water holding capacity, cooking loss, and meat tenderness. The results of the study showed that the addition of turmeric and noni phytobiotics in drinking water can provide a very significant effect (P0.05) on water holding capacity, cooking loss and tenderness.75 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Intelligence on Employee Performance at Hotel Madani Medan

    No full text
Employee performance is the result of an individual’s ability to meet job demands, organizational standards, and social interactions in the workplace. Theoretically, performance is not only determined by technical competence, but also by psychological factors such as emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence, which enable individuals to understand themselves, interact effectively with others, and act according to the values they believe in. This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on employee performance at Hotel Madani Medan. Data were collected from 62 employees aged 20–59 years using three measurement instruments: emotional intelligence scale, spiritual intelligence scale, and employee performance scale. Regression analysis showed that both independent variables had a significant effect, either partially or simultaneously, on performance. These results indicate that higher levels of emotional and spiritual intelligence are associated with more effective work performance. The findings support the notion that internal psychological factors not only shape how individuals respond to job demands but also determine how they maintain professional attitudes within a dynamic work environment. Therefore, emotional and spiritual intelligence can be positioned as relevant psychological resources for employees at Hotel Madani Medan, as they strengthen commitment, responsibility, and consistent work behavior, ultimately contributing to improved overall employee performance113 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

This study aims to identify the types of iḍāfah and the variations of meanings found in the chapter Aṣ-Ṣiyām in the book Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri by Imam Taqiyyuddin al-Hishni. This research is a library based study employing a qualitative descriptive method. The theoretical framework used in this study refers to the theory of iḍāfah as proposed by Araa’ini and Malik. Data were collected through listening and note taking techniques applied to the text of Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri in the chapter of Aṣ-Ṣiyām. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, classification, in-depth analysis, and conclusion drawing to answer the research questions. The results of the study show that there are 68 data of iḍāfah, all of which are classified as iḍāfah ma‘nawiyyah, while no iḍāfah lafziyyah were found. The meanings of the prepositions underlying the relationship between muḍāf and muḍāf ilaih consist of three types: اللام /al-lām/ with 37 occurrences, من /min/ with 13 occurrences, and في /fī/ with 18 occurrences were found in the data. Among these three types, iḍāfah with the meaning of اللام /al-lām/ is the most dominant form. This study demonstrates that the use of iḍāfah in the chapter Aṣ-Ṣiyām in Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri is not merely a linguistic structure, but also plays an important role in clarifying the syntactic relationships between words in the construction of classical Arabic sentences.170 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Background: Chemotherapy is a key treatment in cancer therapy, but it is frequently accompanied by Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), which may affect patients’ physical and psychological well-being. ADRs such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and fatigue can reduce treatment adherence and negatively impact quality of life (QoL). Objective: To assess the occurrence of ADRs in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and to evaluate the relationship between ADRs and their quality of life. Methods: This was a quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 77 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUP Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis. Data were collected using the ADR questionnaire and EQ-5D- 5L quality of life instrument. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman’s correlation test. Results: A total of 87% of patients experienced ADRs, with the most frequent being drowsiness (11.7%), dizziness (10.9%), nausea and vomiting (10.6%), and anxiety (10.2%). In terms of QoL, 26% of patients reported a very good quality of life, 32.5% good, 19.5% moderate, and 22.1% poor. Statistical analysis showed a positive but non-significant correlation between ADRs and QoL (r = -0,141; p = 0,221). Conclusion: While most cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy experienced multiple ADRs, these reactions did not show a statistically significant impact on their quality of life. Continuous monitoring and proper management of ADRs are essential to support patients’ overall well-being during treatment.104 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Legal Analysis of Debt Maturity in Credit Agreements as a Basis for Default (A Study of Decision No.7/Pdt.Gs/2018/PN.Sel)

    No full text
Credit agreements are one of the most important instruments in business and finance, establishing rights and obligations between creditors and debtors. One of the debtor's primary obligations is to repay the debt according to the agreed-upon timeframe (debt maturity). However, in practice, debtors often fail to fulfill this obligation, resulting in default. The research questions addressed in this study are: How is the provision of default applied in credit agreements? What is the concept of debt maturity in credit agreements under Indonesian civil law? How is the legal analysis of debt maturity reflected in Decision No. 7/Pdt.Gs/2018/PN.Sel? The research method employed is normative legal research, which refers to legal norms through library studies to obtain secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials related to the research problem. This study is descriptive in nature, and the data is analyzed qualitatively. Based on the analysis of the application of default provisions and the concept of debt maturity in credit agreements, it can be concluded that both are fundamental concepts that are interrelated in the Indonesian civil law system. Default as regulated in Article 1238 of the Civil Code can occur in four forms and has evolved to consider force majeure and extraordinary difficulties faced by debtors, while debt maturity refers not only to the final maturity date but also to periodic installment obligations regulated through various regulations ranging from the Civil Code to OJK regulations. The analysis of Decision No.7/Pdt.Gs/2018/PN.Sel demonstrates that although the court has correctly applied legal principles and provided legal certainty, there is a tendency to prioritize procedural justice over substantive justice, where judges emphasize compliance with formal rules without deeply considering the economic conditions of debtors who are small business operators. This reflects the need for balance between upholding legal certainty and flexibility in considering humanitarian aspects and socio-economic realities, as well as the need for stricter supervision of clauses in credit agreements to ensure they are not exploitative, particularly for MSME debtors who are vulnerable to economic fluctuations.95 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Design and Construction of Rectangular Microstrip Antenna with Dumbbell-Shaped DGS (Defected Ground Structure) Technique

    No full text
Technology is currently developing rapidly, especially in the field of communication and telecommunications. This technology is called 5G technology, which can transmit data at high speeds with better quality than previous technologies. To send data using 5G technology, a device is needed, namely an antenna. One type of antenna used is the microstrip antenna because it has a small dimension, is lightweight, and is inexpensive. However, this microstrip antenna has the disadvantage of low gain and bandwidth. To improve the gain and bandwidth, a rectangular microstrip antenna with DGS (Defected Ground Structure) technique has been designed to operate at a frequency of 3.5 GHz. Based on the simulation results of the initial antenna design, a return loss value of -6.721 dB, VSWR of 2.713, bandwidth of 0 MHz, unidirectional radiation pattern, and gain of 5.7425 dB were obtained. Meanwhile, the simulation results of the optimal antenna design yielded a return loss value of -13.5 dB, VSWR of 1.536, bandwidth of 151 MHz, unidirectional radiation pattern, and gain of 5.6709 dB.72 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Effectiveness of THE Direct Cash Assistance (Blt) Program in Reducing Poverty in S-2 Aek Nabara Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhan Batu Regency

    No full text
Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) is a social assistance program that has been officially implemented since 2005. In Indonesia, BLT is primarily managed by local village governments, utilizing funds from the Village Fund allocated by the central government. The distribution of BLT Village Fund is carried out by the village government and is usually disbursed in cash to poor families or those economically affected. The management and distribution mechanism involves special village meetings to validate prospective recipient data, as well as official determination and reporting to the sub-district and district levels. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed qualitatively using Campbell J.P.’s Effectiveness Theory approach, namely Program Success, Target Achievement, Satisfaction with the Program, Input and Output Levels, and also Achievement of Overall Goals. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The stages of achieving the objectives of the BLT program in S-2 Aek Nabara Village have been carried out properly and are in line with the program’s objectives; (2) BLT participants in S-2 Aek Nabara Village have consistently received assistance in the exact amount determined by the established procedures, without any deductions in accordance with applicable regulations. However, there are still inaccuracies in the targeting process of the BLT program, and in 2025, a 15% budget cut was made to the BLT program. Furthermore, BLT assistance in S-2 Aek Nabara Village has been quite beneficial in helping the community even though the nominal amount is relatively small, as the community still feels supported by the program. Nonetheless, there are still cases of misuse of the assistance for personal leisure, and the existence of BLT has also led to dependency, which may cause people to lose the initiative to improve their standard of living through their own productive efforts or work.212 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
Introduction: Iron deficiency anemia is one of the most common hematological disorders found in pregnant women and remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia. Preventive measures have been implemented through the provision of iron and folic acid supplementation (tablet tambah darah/TTD); however, the level of adherence among pregnant women in consuming these supplements remains relatively low. One of the factors suspected to influence this issue is the level of understanding pregnant women have regarding the benefits and importance of iron supplementation during pregnancy. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of pregnant women about iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy and their adherence to iron tablet consumption at Kedai Durian Public Health Center, Medan Johor District. Method: This study used an analytical cross-sectional design involving 35 pregnant women in their first to third trimesters who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8). Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The Chi-Square test showed no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to iron tablet consumption (p = 0.328). However, there was a significant relationship between educational level and knowledge (p < 0.001). Conclusion. There is no significant relationship between pregnant women’s knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and adherence to iron tablet consumption; however, educational level plays an important role in influencing maternal knowledge. In addition, gravida is also found to play a significant role in determining adherence to iron tablet consumption.101 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Semiotic Analysis of Riffaterre in the Poetry Collection Kepada Cium By Joko Pinurbo

    No full text
The purpose of this study is to examine Joko Pinurbo's poetry collection Kepada Cium using Michael Riffaterre's literary semiotic technique. This study is qualitative in nature. Descriptive qualitative methodology with a semiotic approach is employed. The research data is in the form of poetry texts sourced from the poetry collection Kepada Cium by Joko Pinurbo. Techniques for reading, taking notes, and drawing conclusions are employed as data collection methods. Using signs categorized into heuristics, hermeneutics, models, matrices, variations, and hypograms, the data analysis method applies Michael Riffaterre's semiotic theory. The study's findings demonstrate how heuristic reading depicts commonplace realities that are similar to social experiences, such as relationships between parents and children, marginal workers, nearby objects like windows and beds, and money as a symbol of life's necessities, with characters battling poverty, loneliness, and modest hopes. The poem's meaning evolves into a critique of greed and a call to gratitude, with prayer, memory, and family love serving as buffers against financial pressure and loneliness. Hermeneutic reading reveals the author's inner and social state, which is manifested through fear, pity, satire, and attempts to calm oneself and preserve family harmony. The poem's main structure depicts a condition in everyday life when poverty and loneliness crush people, but there are still attempts to survive via prayer, minor job, and family love. The axis of events is the matrix, which is actualized into a model in the form of binding signs (money, window-moon, rickshaw/scavenger, body/hair, prayer/adhan), however variations display varying emphasis on socioeconomic inequity, humanitarian issues, and societal critique. Through introspection, comedy, symbolic ambiguity, and socio-spiritual awareness, potential and actual hypograms highlight the poetry' interconnectivity and guide the reader toward a more profound comprehension of ordinary life.171 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
